I never feel singled out and I am included in every class exactly as I am. I started my journey by taking private lessons with Foetini (highly recommend). After my very first group class, she hugged me and told me how proud she was of me. Sarah, the owner, has personally emailed me after class to celebrate my progress on tough movements. Marissa knows to adjust the foot bar and put the foot strap on for me without having to ask. When I began taking her classes, Marissa always checked in after to make sure I felt comfortable and supported. I never knew a place like this could actually exist. I tried the 30 min intro class for new clients and had a good experience. Jess checked us in and explained the parts of the reformer and the flow of the class. On the reformer there are 2 heavy, 2 medium, and 1 light spring used for different exercises. A typical class is 50 minutes and they have flow 1, 1.5, and 2 for varying difficulties. The class is a full body workout with foot work, bridges, core work, arms, and ended with a stretch. I really liked that you'll get breath movement cued for each exercise and that you can take it at your own pace. The straps were easy to take off and on with the pegs and the headrest is adjustable. They have early morning to evening class times, so plenty of availability. Today's the last day they are offering 20% memberships and retail, so if you're looking for a new workout I'd definitely try them out.

TRX and Pilates…read more... Small classes keep the instructions personal and well taught. MD, who teaches the TRX classes is great. He used to be a gymnast I believe, and he is very good at shaping every workout for personal needs. He could have a class with a bodybuilder, professional dancer, someone with scoliosis, and a pregnant lady, and he can adapt the same exercise for each persons personal physical needs. He pushes you, while not making anything unsafe. There are also advanced classes, which he does not allow people to take who are not physically ready. It is his studio, as well as he ass on the line if someone got hurt, and if he thinks you are not ready for the advanced classes, he will say it. That is a very good quality, coming from a collegiate athlete. Both the pilates and TRX classes are good for male and female. The only reason I don't put 5 stars is the difficulty getting into the studio. From Washington st, turn up Holden st. The first "parking lot / parking spaces" off the street on the right, you are there. It is upstairs. Enjoy the great workouts!
