We love stuffed cabbage, but some places make the worst. This is true of many Polish eateries so we are picky. Here at Solidarity, we have now found the best stuffed cabbage you will ever have. It is just great. All the food is great. We also had, HOMEMADE PIEROG which was so great. and we tried tried their BIGOS - Hunter's Stew, which is beef, kielbasa, mushrooms and cabbage stew. Their LAMB DUMPLINGS which is lamb filled pasta with spicy Dijon sauce. They have a cheesecake and a chocolate cake which is delightful. There is not one thing we did not love. The service is great. They will help you with the menu and make a suggestion if you want. They are fast, but you are not rushed. Make a reservation. It really is a must I think. The place itself is comfortable with nice art on the walls and comfortable seating. You will love it.

We drove an hour to eat here. My wife is half Polish. It was well worth the drive. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's quaint and relaxing. I love their decor, atmosphere, and ambiance. We sat on the patio, which was lovely. LJ was our server-- a nice guy. Service was very prompt; he was friendly and attentive. The other servers and staff were also friendly. Good people. The food was outstanding; we tried a little of everything. It was homemade and fresh, very filling. Check out my photos to see what we ate. The quality of the food was excellent--you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a great time-- very memorable.

Great spot with cool vibes. The patio was spacious with another separate area meant for private or larger gatherings. This is a dog friendly place, which is awesome. The servers were awesome. They came with great recommendations that did not disappoint. I ordered the Polish Old Fashioned which had what tasted like a hint of cinnamon. It was very good. The various Pierogi consisted of cheese, beef, pork and chicken; all very tender and juicy. My Mushroom Gnocci was delightful and rich with flavor. The Sweet Cream Crepe had a light outer cake filled with delicious deliciousness.

The food here is phenomenal! They have a really great happy hour as well, worth checking out for sure! Service was wonderful, I love the vibe of the restaurant, a converted home which still feels homie. Sitting in their backside patio is divine, the food was made to order within minute! Portions are generous, and the flavors were spot on! One dish more delightful from the next, I suggest ordering several dishes and sharing! Highly recommended if you're looking for a new and unique flavors, authentic Polish food!

This is cute little Polish place with the lighting cool vibe music playing. The food is so good. Start with the Solidarity salad. It has the prefect blend of sauerkraut, apples, and carrots. It has such an interesting taste between sour and sweet. The beef stroganoff was amazing and sever over spatzle, Wow. The service was awesome as well. We will be back!!!!

If you're looking for authentic Polish food, this place truly delivers. The cabbage rolls tasted just like the lunches served in kindergarten in Poland 40 years ago so comforting, traditional, and full of nostalgia. You can really tell they cook with authentic flavors and recipes. The awesome Polish music playing in the background created such a warm and harmonious atmosphere that made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a real Polish taste experience!

Incredibly Gorgeous, Authentic and Delicious Polish restaurant serving some of the most delicious Eastern European delicacies in LA! This includes yummy pierogis, schnitzel, beef stroganoff, potato pancakes and much, much more. My personal favorites are the uniquely fabulous Pickle soup and Cucumber salad, which I have only had at this spot. I love the remarkably fabulous and friendly staff who are always so nice, friendly and attentive. The ginormous, outdoor patio is incredible to chill with friends, host events and I absolutely love their Thursday evening 'Yappy Hours' , which is for humans and their Doggie friends too! They even have a Doggie Menu, which makes every dogs' tails wag in happiness and thrill! Thanks to this amazing, family run business for serving the Santa Monica community for so many decades.

I have been to Solidarity many times and am always happy with the food. I love pierogies and love getting the sampler platter to share as an appetizer, especially the potatoe and cheese pierogie. The outside patio is always decorated super cute and the menu often updates especially with seasonal cocktails. On my last visit I had a warm spiked cider with a cinnamon stick that was absolutely delicious. However my favorite thing on the menu is a newer item, their pickle soup! It is creamy with a hint of dill and chunks of potato and very small slivers of picked veggies. For the pickle lover in your life you use have them try this soup. I also want to give an honorable mention to their stroganoff with spaetzle. The meat and sauce have such great flavor and the spaetzle is done really well. The food and drinks always come out quickly as well and the wait staff is very friendly. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant has a really nice back garden. I came here for happy hour and it was a good deal and a nice ambiance. The food was sadly just okay. Pierogi flight/sampler: 8/10 The pierogis came out cold. Overall the flavors were good and it was a good happy hour price. Steak: 9/10 Chicken: 6/10 Mushroom: 8.5/10 Goat cheese: 8/10

Service was wonderful! The covered patio is so relaxing & inviting. The food is amazing & authentic - just like what I grew up eating. We ordered two sample platters, extra pierogi, & crepes for dessert. It was all fresh & flavorful. We will definitely be back!

I could not love this restaurant more!! As a Polish gal, I have pretty high standards for Polish food (I always thought my babci did it best), but this place is phenomenal! The food is delicious, the atmosphere cozy, and the staff are all helpful and kind. The borscht was the perfect thing to order on a cold January night. Every single pierogi was delicious, I'm glad I got the sampler so I could try them all! A warm apple crepe was the perfect end to the meal. I'll definitely be back.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner at Solidarity last night. The Small Plate Starter is a great way to get a taste of different polish foods to try out. The main courses were both flavorful and filling. And despite how extremely full I felt from the main course foods, we got dessert that was also delicious. I'm not a big chocolate person, but when I saw it on the menu, I thought the vanilla sauce would offset the chocolate well. When I tasted the cake I was pleasantly surprised by how moist it was. The restaurant was quite busy. We ended up being at the restaurant for 2 hours, but we honestly didn't mind. Our server was obviously working very hard and was apologetic for the delay, but the break between meals allowed for food to settle before the next round of food came around. And everything tasting delicious also makes the wait time worth having when the food comes out amazing. I would recommend this place to others and I'd be interesting in trying some of the dumpling options.

I love this place, it's perfect to get authentic Polish food. I've been coming for years, and my Polish grandma LOVES it! It has gotten very pricey over last few months, and the portions aren't very large. I would recommend coming here at least to try, the beef stroganoff and pierogies are delicious.

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.

We decided to go to the bar and conveniently a couple left right when we got there so we actually decided to sit and have our dinner at the bar! We decided to order a lychee martini however I don't believe the bartender heard us and gave us lemon drops instead, again I'm not one to really complain I like lemon drops so we finished our martini, I would give that a 5/10 honestly it was a little too sweet for me, for our second drink we ordered "The Elephante" with vodka, it tasted like mezcal I'm not gonna lie which is not my favorite, however it wasn't horrible I give that a 6/10. For our appetizer we ordered the Meatballs which I actually loved, we were so hungry I forgot to take a picture but I give it a good 9/10 only because they were just a little dry We also ordered the Burrata & fig, wowww this dish is to die for!! All the flavors are combined beautifully I give it a 10/10! Lastly, for our main dish we ordered the - Vodka pasta: 7/10, this dish was great but as someone who LOVES vodka pasta I must say it wasn't the absolute best I've had. The pasta shells needed to be cooked a bit more and the sauce wasn't anything crazy, however I did enjoy it. - Branzino: 6/10 this is my boyfriends rating I don't eat fish, he didn't think the taste was anything crazy - Wild mushroom pizza: 7/10 this pizza surprised me only because it had some lemon in the sauce but it was very delicate, I thought I would hate it but it was great. However, the only thing I would complain about is how soggy it became, when we would pick up a slice the cheese and toppings would fall. Overall, I think the experience was great, sitting at the bar definitely gets your orders in quick, our waiters were great and quick. Parking was easy, right across the street or valet. I would go back again!

But what really stood out was the hospitality. We were celebrating our Anniversary and Valentine's Day, and I had arranged to have flowers delivered to the restaurant earlier in the day so they'd be waiting on the table as a surprise for my wife. The staff was kind enough to accommodate the request and have them set up before we arrived. Unfortunately, the delivery driver accidentally dropped the flowers off at the other Hermanito location on Sawtelle! I assumed the surprise was ruined. Then the hostess came up to me and said, "Don't worry... our manager is driving over there now to pick them up and bring them back." I couldn't believe it. Sure enough, just as I was finishing my first Japanese Old Fashioned, Gilbert (the manager) walked in with the bouquet and completely surprised my wife. Absolute save. Most of the bars are dive bars in downtown Santa Monica, and parking is quite accessible for this place. So I'd recommend for that reason. In terms of the drinks, I'm a huge fan of cocktail but I would say their menu selections are a bit limited. Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).
