Solid Foundation has done many projects for us over the years including our entire downstairs oversized wood like tile flooring and several bathroom remodels and backsplash. Recently I had a situation with a leak that was originally going to be handled through insurance, early on we knew the craftsmanship was terrible and not going to meet the standards that Brooke has set for us to expect. Brooke came to the rescue and showed up the next day to assess the terrible job. We ultimately ripped it out and he was able to squeeze us in quickly to fix the job and make our bathroom beautiful again. Brooke and his crew are fantastic! He replaced our 19 year old ceramic tile floors in nearly 1,000 sq ft with large Travertine stone. It looks perfect and so beautiful. I requested a lot of special considerations due to my health problems, and he was very accommodating and kind. We trusted him with our keys while I left during demo, and he was completely trustworthy. His crew was friendly and professional with us and our 21 year old daughter, as well as with our contractor who did the finish work during and after Brooke's job. There was a problem with the manufacturer who supplied a mixed batch of stone in error, and he worked it all out without causing us any distress. Whew! We are grateful for all he did. WOW!!!!! Where do i start??? Brooke is by FAR the nicest, most helpful, and kind hearted person/professional i know ! I stumbled across his yelp page when looking for some info on porcelain tiles i wanted for my new house, and after seeing all of his great reviews I gave him a call. I told him how I live in Corona and that i was on a very tight budget. He explained he doesn't come up to Corona often due to his busy schedule and the far of a distance. HOWEVER, Instead of immediately hanging up on me due to the distance, he recommend a tile demolition guy for me that i needed, and he even continued giving me helpful information and tips regarding tile/prices etc. I was so impressed with all of his knowledge, but i was BLOWN away by his kindness! He even told me that i could call if i ever had any other questions , and lucky for him i did LOL. He remembered me, and was so kind and patient with me. He gave me amazing advice the few times we talked and all just because he is a true genuine person with what is obviously a passion for the his industry. I could tell by his attention to detail in his answers that he knew the tile and flooring business upside down and backwards. Well, I don't know where to start. I called in spring of this year, I was told they are very busy. I was asked if I was on a time crunch, I said no, it was suggested that I call back after November they are really booked up and things slow down in November. I called today, I was told they are booked up through February. I asked what happened to November? I wasn't on a time schedule but sometime within a year would be nice. I felt as though I was polite but I was told that they have customers with deposits and stuff that are booked and they can't do anything for me. I've waited almost a year. How come I wasn't booked somehow back in the spring? Why wasn't something offered then even to be put on the calendar? I had Brooke and Jason install 800 sqft of 24 inch polished porcelain tile with marble inlays in my entryway, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry room. I have laid a fair amount of tile in the past and was planning on doing this job myself but wasn't able to do it due to an injury. I was very apprehensive about having someone else to the work because I have very high standards for how I want the work done and the attention to detail that is required to get the marble inlays that I wanted to turn out right. Brooke stood out from the competition from the start. He came out on Saturday morning to meet with me and addressed all of my concerns. I mentioned to him that I needed to get the project done quickly because I had a party that was scheduled to take place in 3 weeks. He took detailed measurements and said that he would get back to me with an estimate. To my surprise, he called me back an hour and a half after leaving my house with a full and detailed estimate and said that he could start Monday. Based on my other estimates, he was very fairly priced for the quality of work that he provides. On Monday, Brooke and Jason showed up to get started on the job. They were very careful to seal off adjoining rooms to prevent contamination during the demolition of some existing tile and the slab preparation. They showed up consistently at 7am sharp every day of the job and worked very hard to get the job done on time. Both Brooke and Jason are extremely skilled craftsmen and are masters of their craft. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Be sure to talk with Brooke before you order any tile. He can get you some significant discounts on tile with his venders.
