She makes you feel really comfortable and knows how to push and help each individual person she teaches. There are multiple class options, however, my favorite is Barre because I feel like the workouts hit every part of my body. I feel so much stronger, and confident about my body than I have in a long time, especially as a woman in my 50s. I love the loud music and the overall vibe--it makes it fun (I often just want to dance lol) and keeps me motivated. Each instructor brings her own vibe and energy, which makes every class different so it is NEVER boring. And you are so busy trying to keep up with the moves (because you are not in any one position for very long) that the class zooms by and you are already finished with an amazing work-out! Boom! You do have to schedule your classes in advance, but like others said, you can go on the waitlist and you usually get in. Most of the instructors have been very good and easy to understand. My only complaint/concern is I am in my 60s and the studio in Oceanside has music playing in the background. My other studio solely focused on quiet time and being in touch with your body, so it was much easier to follow the instructors and concentrate on the exercise rather than trying to listen to the instructors through music playing. That is the only thing I would like to see change, perhaps if the music could be turned way down or nonexistent, at least for the reformer one classes. Other than that, everything about the studios seems clean, organized, and I hope to be a member for many years to come!

I loved that everyone was helpful and didn't seem cliquey either. I took a Sculpt class with Chris and it was AWESOME. I've never been to a jumping pilates class on the reformer - I had so much fun that I forgot that I was even working out! The class flew by and I enjoyed the playlist too! I was really impressed with Chris' knowledge and the cuing she did for each exercise. I am a physical therapist and the explanations she had for TrA activation, synovial fluid, and other joint-friendly variations she had were spot on! Chris kept it simple with the exercises which made them easy to follow. I liked that we didn't have to stick with one version of an exercise, but that we had the choice to make it harder or easier. Within 3 sessions with Alane I found noticeable relief in my pelvic floor and lower back and I was able to carry the adjustments I learned in training not only into my workouts but into my daily life.
