(New resident as of 11/2017; Previously a Denver resident of another downtown apartment complex); 1 BR/1BA (Crestone Layout) My wife and I first found Solera through our search to switch apartments to lower our monthly rent. We were hesitant to find a better apartment complex because our previous place offered 24/7 concierge service, 24/7 valet parking (with no tip) and that was close to downtown. After touring Solera and speaking with Paige, Amber, and Matt, my wife and I were excited that we had found an apartment that had better service for a better price. The hours that Paige and Amber were working (normal business hours) had a higher quality and better service level than 24/7 concierge service (quality over quantity....talking/interfacing with a staff that genuinely cares is more important than having someone "present" 24/7) The professionalism, friendliness, timeliness of service of ALL staff (Paige, Amber, Matt, and Fabrice) whether it is administrative or maintenance related is unparalleled. After living here for about a couple of months, we are always kept informed of announcements and events. The building itself is always kept clean, provides INDOOR/COVERED parking for a very affordable price, a LEED certified that keeps your utilities low, and of course is in a great location. The only reason that my wife and I would move out is to buy a house. No other apartment and staff compares in the 4 states (PA, OK, HI, CO) and 10+ apartments I have lived in. read more

Enjoyed Solera for a work trip utilizing their guest suite, an offered amenity for residents. The property manager, Amber and staff were so helpful and easy to communicate with. They went above and beyond to accommodate me as a guest. The girls in the leasing office went out and bought a hairdryer since I left mine across the country. The maintenance super, Lionso went beyond expectation helping me get the WiFi password before office hours and was quick to respond to a work order I placed. It's an easy location to Uber and Lyft from and within walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. The rooftop was a killer spot to chill! read more

First and foremost please ignore Erin's review. The majority of things she complained are out of the buildings control. Solera management cannot control Denvers homeless issues, the fire fighters being busy saving peoples lives or the location of a mission. If all of these things are an issue for you, then you shouldn't have moved downtown. What the team can control they do extremely well. Amber's customer service and knowledge is second to none. If there is any issue she will get it resolved same day or at the very least give you an update by the end of the day. She is super knowledgable about all things in the buildings and also sets up some pretty cool events for the residents to mingle. Greg and the maintenance team provide exceptional customer service and address any issue faster than any building I have ever lived in. When it gets fixed and Greg is on the case you know it gets done right the first time. Noah in the front always provides a cheery demeanor and knows all the residents by name. He always goes the extra mile to make sure that the residents are happy. This is by far the best experience I have had from a building and rental team. Living at Solera is second to none. The building is clean, neighbors are all really friendly, amenities are wonderful! Love hanging on the rooftop! The best part of the building is the team though! Noah, Stefon and Greg are rock stars and do a wonderful job running Solera. They really care about each and every resident and I'm really happy with my time here so far. Some of the reviews crack me up on here because Solera is in the middle of downtown- there is nothing the staff can do about the streets of Denver being spotless and characters walking around at night. I walk my dog three times a day and have never ran into a problem. Sounds like they need to move back to the suburbs :) Being able to walk to everywhere is incredible! read more

Extremely rude and incompetent management. Dangerous and loud neighborhood. Regularly found homeless in the building and multiple neighbors had their cars broken into in the parking garage. Fire station was next door so the building is extremely loud - sleeping through the night was rare because of the constant sirens. read more

There are constant water issues that management is aware of. They only temporarily fix things as they come up instead of actually addressing the problem. So, residents can expect at least one emergency water shutoff per month. It's ridiculous and frustrating. I'm glad my lease is almost up because this is one of the most awfully built buildings in Denver. read more

Expect incompetence. The management is unable to manage a basic move-in, move-out scheduling calendar. You'll pay as much in rent as you would pay for a 600k mortgage in the suburbs, but you will also get to deal with bums sleeping in doorways, pee and poo from both dogs and humans littering the sidewalk and garage entrances, utter mismanagement of parking garages where the spot you pay hundreds of dollars each month to use will invariable be blocked by people who snuck their friends in to park for a night of partying, constant sirens from the neighboring fire station. Oh, and they claim to be a nonsmoking property-but the people below me smoked all day, every day, for a year and nothing was done about my complaints with photographic evidence. Also, being on Lawrence, you're basically on Denver's homeless center highway between the worst 7/11 in Denver and the rescue mission. There will be people having mental health crises on the street out front every week. Generally a miserable place to live and I am so glad I'm in the process of moving out right now. Unfortunately, as per usual management allowed someone else to schedule a move in at the same time (that calendar incompetence again) and someone stole my parking space just last night AGAIN. Cannot recommend enough avoiding this place and especially its incompetent manager Amber. The maintenance guy Greg is good and gets stuff done. Otherwise, the competent staff seems to leave as soon as they can find better jobs. Do not sign a lease here, you will regret it. read more

I will first mention the good things about this apartment complex. The Common Areas are kept clean. The cleaning staff and maintenance staff are quick to address issues. I could not hear my neighbor's television when at normal volume. The rooftop patio was great for Rockies fireworks shows. Cons: The new management of the property does very little vetting of applicants. I had two neighbors whom were unemployed, and one was selling "items" outside his door at late hours of the night. Before signing a lease, I encourage you to observe a few of the tenants in the building. In addition, during the end of my time there, I had many non-tenants knocking on my door begging for money. I noted this to the management, and they simply stated that it wasn't their responsibility to keep solicitors out of the building. I know several tenants who moved out due to safety concerns with non-tenants/non-guests wondering around inside the complex. In addition, there is often a homeless person, glass bottles, and/or vomit outside the building entrance. But in all fairness, this is going to be common for most complexes in this area. I've lived at this property for three plus years and can honestly say that I've never enjoyed living anywhere quite so much. It is a relatively smaller community as far as luxury apartments go and it makes for a more intimate feeling amongst the management team and the tenants. My apartment is spacious and rarely do I hear outside commotion or noise between the units. The property is kept clean and the infrequent maintenance requests that I've had to make are always met with immediate response. I genuinely look forward to seeing the people that work in the building as they are always pleasant and willing to help make the community better. It is a dog friendly property and should be noted that there are a lot of super cute dogs! read more

I have been living at Solera for 6 months now. My roommate has been living here for 5 years and we both absolutely love it! The building is in the perfect location downtown. I'm an avid yoga practitioner and one of the best yoga studios in town is located in the building. The building itself is clean and updated with thick walls (I never hear the neighbors). The rooftop deck has amazing views with a newly added outdoor television. I'm excited to use the rooftop hot tube in the cold months as well. All of the maintenance ands staff are professional and friendly. There is always building social events, which creates a nice setting for encouraging community amongst all residents. This is the perfect spot and I hope to stay here for as long as they will have me:) read more

I lived here for 3 years ending in 2017, finally got around to writing a review. Everyone that worked there was great; very professional and friendly. They didn't try to mess with my deposit. Garage was clean and safe. Property was kept very well. They were cool when I wanted to move to another side of the building and changed my lease without forcing me to extend. read more

Having lived in a couple of high end apartments in the Denver area this one is the best. Between the management, maintenance, and office staff the place is the best. There's climate controlled parking. There's also a rooftop deck with a grill, hottub, and firepit (gas). read more

DO NOT RENT AT SOLERA Solera looks like a nice building on the outside and inside but don't be fooled by it's image. Solera is a new LEED certified property and has SERIOUS issues regarding MOLD in the apartments. Our neighbors were forced to stay in a hotel for two nights because of the mold in their apartment was so bad. Our friends upstairs were told by their doctors they had to move out because the mold was so bad, and our other friends had it so bad they couldn't occupy their apartment for two days while a commercial dehumidfier was put in their apartment. Greystar took over as property manager when ownership transferred in late 2011. The prior management was wonderful, very attentive and very accommodating. Greystar lacks everything a professional management company should have, especially when we're paying over $2,300/month to live in a two bedroom in Denver! My neighbor has his $3,000 bicycle (which was locked up to a bike wall mount) stolen from the "secured" garage and Greystar did nothing about it. Four more bikes were stolen in April and Greystar seems not to care. They just say file a police report and call your insurance company. This is the response we get when there are video cameras outside the garage and Greystar is too CHEAP to put them inside the garage to prevent this! It took over a week for Management to act on a graffiti incident which left the building looking horrible, and it's still showing up even after several cleanings. Only now after we've complained so much is Greystar doing anything about getting better service for the residents. If I was the building owner I would have fired Greystar after 1 month for the poor service. Don't bother renting at Solera, you will just be disappointed. There are plenty of other great buildings in Denver that are not managed by Greystar and don't have mold issues. read more

Solera used to be a high end, secure building that warranted the very high rent and parking charges you pay here. We tenants had submitted our info for background / criminal, employment, credit checks. This in part was what made it a high quality, secure, downtown living experience. The other contributing factor to the high quality was that maintenance and cleaning staff are professionals who take their jobs seriously. This certainly has not changed and I don't want to take anything away from them. We made Solera our home. The downfall is that the management made the decision to rent several units (7) to a company in the short term rental business. Note that individual tenants like myself can not sub let. As I have seen many times, on any day you can have upwards of seven un screened people staying in one apartment. This means noise, trash, cig butts in a non smoking building, and more importantly unknown people coming and going into what was once a very secure building. Couples or families please consider this if you travel or your wife / girlfriend comes home late at night, etc. In the past, tenants were known and screened (as we were) and this was a key reason we stayed here. Now you nor the building management really have any idea who is in the building at any given time. This is beyond irresponsible by the building management, particularly considering that they did not fully disclose this situation to us when we signed a new lease, at a higher rent, just a few months back. All around a solid choice! I miss living there... The quality of the construction is A+, I NEVER heard a neighbor through the walls (they have almost 2 feet of concrete between each apartment). The only time I heard someone was when they were a little louder than normal in the hallway. Very pet friendly, clean common spaces and they just renovated the rooftop with a dog area, expanded seating, a new grill and a hot tub that overlooks downtown to the west, including Coors Field. My apartment also faced west, I had the best seat downtown for viewing fireworks or sunsets. The LoDo area is always busy, and there is a homeless shelter nearby but if you're looking for that downtown lifestyle, this is it. There is an onsite cop for Thursday and Friday nights, making sure the building stays safe and making sure that non-residents do not enter. You may hear that these apartments are expensive, but in my eyes, it was definitely well worth it. I don't think I'll ever live as close to a ballpark as I did there, so I enjoyed every moment of it. A solid staff that helped you along the way, a big shout out to Tom the maintenance guy, beers are on me next time I see you. read more

We are so sad to be leaving Solera! (We are purchasing a home) The staff is amazing, the views are incredible and our apartment is large and comfortable. The one downside is that since we have been here there have been 4 manager changes, which has made things in the office a little disorganized, but each staff member is great. Max and Tom are so friendly and always around if you have a maintenance issue- they are there in a flash. Meko and Reid at the front desk will always say hello and are willing to help with anything. There isn't a pool, but the rooftop deck has a hot tub overlooking the ballpark and mountains, a firepit, a dog run, a really nice grill and tons of seating and lighting for just hanging out. We rarely run into other people up there- it's almost like having a private patio but when we do, the other residents are all super friendly. We also love: They are super pet friendly. The staff is exceptional. The building is very nice and always clean and well maintained. Service requests are handled immediately and with a smile. You honestly should ignore the couple bad reviews on Yelp about The Solera, as they very dated. I can say that this is the best place I've lived. It's very secure and the price is actually very well priced compared to anything else in a 1 mile radius. Someone said the apartments are small; they are what they are, and 888sqft for 1 person is massive. If you don't like the square footage per dollar, then you probably don't value security, new clean apartments, LOCATION, and friendly staff. The ONLY thing I'd improve is the workout area, but I belong to Movement so it's a nonissue. read more

I lived at Solera for two years and have loved everything about the building. It was secure, very clean and pet friendly. As a single women I made it a priority to find a building that had good security. I became great friends with the front desk and management. It truly is a family environment. I met wonderful people at Solera and many of them I am still in contact with today. You can't beat the location, it is near so many restaurants, cafes, and bars. You will never run out of things to do! I highly recommend checking out Solera, you won't regret it! read more
