Being from Chicago and working with many people in the restaurant business.. I am incredibly observant. This business is awesome when it comes to good food and brews! It's hard to find a good wrap in this town and the cooks nailed it the bar tender Sydney was nothing but outstanding. The only recommendation I would have for this place would be to adjust their work duties.. the bartender shouldn't have to serve drinks for the entire establishment.. run food and Togo orders as well as answering the phones. When I go to the bar I enjoy the interaction with bartenders.. same thing I do with my job.. and unfortunately she had to constantly cut conversation to answer phones. Other than that.. solid place! I had such a great experience here. Staff was extremely friendly, talking and joking around with us. Our waitress was Courtney and she was very friendly and attentive and when she found out it was our first time there, we each got a $5 gift certificate for our next meal! I had the Black & Blue Burger which was delicious, but I didn't care for the bun compared to others. I also had the waffle fries which were delicious as well. Stopped in for dinner with my daughter on a road trip. The service was outstanding. Asked our server about the local ciders, she did not have knowledge of them but grabbed another server who was very knowledgeable. Our food was delicious! The owner seemed to be very friendly, However.. to start off, our waiter gave us the wrong beer. although we were charged for the right one, it was not correct. When our food arrived there was a large, VERY VISIBLE, mosquito right on the bun of one of the burgers. We did send it back and after waiting for them to re-make the food it came back uneditably saturated in salt. Rest of the food was mediocre.. When one of our parties got their bill (after having just 2 beers) instead of being charged 7.78 was charged 77.80! I feel like this place has potential but sadly we will not be returning. read more

We really enjoy coming here on Friday Nights for their fish fry. It is really excellent. I personally enjoy the lake perch, which comes with a side. Such as rice, slaw, beans, and a biscuit. Their beers are excellent Michigan beers. I had the Keweenaw Pick axe blonde thus time. Really good! This place has made quite a turn around from what I remember 10 years ago. The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. Seems like the evening crowd would be a good time after 9 pm if I would have stuck around. However, an evening with the family for a fun dinner out and local baseball fundraiser was well spent. We did not have a good experience. Our waitress seemed irritated with life, as did the rest of the staff. The cheese curds were overdone, and it they had no dipping sauce of any sort, and we couldn't flag down our waitress to ask for some. We ordered the mac and cheese for our toddler, and it was disgusting. The waitress was adamant it wasn't made in the microwave, but we later found it was. I ordered the taco salad and my lettuce was warm, as if it had been sitting under heat lamps. The fish fry was mediocre at best. This was my second time to Greenleaf's since they've remodeled, and while it looks nice inside, I won't be going back. read more

My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The best restaurant we've been to in Iron Mountain. Our appetizer came out very quickly and out dinner came out just as quick and was cooked to perfection. We both basically licked our plates clean. Excellent staff. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer. Very good. Also had the chicken Caesar salad and bacon chicken chipotle sandwich. All was very tasty. It's in the process of a remodel (new owners). But up and running smoothly in the midst of it. There is a full bar in the basement that's slated to have live music and dancing. Went on a Monday night for their "wing special". Very disappointed. The wings were suppose to be "broasted" but the breading wasn't even crisp! The wings were not cooked all the way through and the thick skin was gross and slimy and the meat was tough. This place is a hidden gem off the main road in Iron Mountain. Would've never thought to go here but it was recommended by our Hotel Check in staff member. Walking up to the restaurant it was nothing special. It was a Saturday night and only about 10 people inside eating. My wife and I almost didn't go in thinking it would be a complete flop. Glad we decided to eat here. Hostess was super friendly, sat us, and gave us the run down of all the specials which was kind of cool to already know what they were before our waitress came. Staff was super friendly and attentive. They have a good bottled microbrew beer selection. The menu is huge! Tons to choose from. We had Parmesan French fries for appetizer, I had broasted chicken (honestly best I've ever had, and my wife had the sirloin/shrimp combo which I tried and was great.) Both meals came with the salad bar. Prices are appropriate. A DJ was getting started as we left. If we're ever in the area again (we were staying in Iron Mountain as part of our Circumnavigating Lake Michigan Vacation) we will definitely come back. read more
