While the solar and battery system was installed, the project has not been properly commissioned or verified, and repeated follow-up attempts have gone unanswered. The battery backup did engage during a grid outage, however no on-site testing, load verification, or simulated outage test has ever been performed. As the homeowner, I was never shown or provided written confirmation of: * Which circuits are backed up * Expected battery runtime under load * That the system performs as designed during an outage I have sent multiple emails over several weeks requesting basic commissioning and verification, including a simple on-site test. These requests have largely gone unanswered or received minimal responses that do not address the issues. A solar and battery system is a major investment. Proper testing, communication, and follow-through should be standard -- especially before considering a project complete. Unfortunately, due to the lack of responsiveness and failure to properly verify the system, I cannot recommend Solar Bear Energy at this time. ALSO DONT USE THE FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION THEY USE TO GIVE YOU A LOAN its all a scam!!

Greenhouse Solar Review -- Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Broken Promises…read moreWe had our solar system installed by Greenhouse Solar in September 2024, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before installation, I asked whether the panels were actually in stock. I received no response. Then, on 8/26/2025, I was informed by Lee Oelkers that their regular panels were out of stock and would be replaced with a different brand. On 10/1/2025, after a night of high winds, we heard loud banging on the roof. Greenhouse Solar came out the next day and confirmed panels were loose, securing them at that time. On 12/2/2025, we were notified by NJ ADI that our paperwork for the state rebate was incomplete due to missing serial numbers on the power box. At the company's request, I opened the power box, photographed the serial numbers, and sent them in. Then, on 12/10/2025, the company admitted an error on the New Jersey state form and asked me to re-sign corrected documents. I did so, and shortly afterward we were told the state would now require a site inspection. On 12/18/2025, after a wind and rainstorm, 38% of our panels stopped functioning. When I called Greenhouse Solar on 12/19/2025, I was told the panels would "fix themselves." The following day I received another email insisting it was not an installation issue. On 12/21/2025, I emailed back disputing that microinverters "self-repair," requested service, and received no response. I then sent a corrective-action letter giving seven days to reply. On 12/24/2025, a salesperson told me they were busy with end-of-year installs, but still no official response from the company. On 12/26/2025, I finally received an email from Lauren stating a technician would be at my home on 12/31 between 8-9 a.m. No one showed up. My calls and emails went unanswered. Later that day I received a new email saying the visit was moved to January 6th, and that Lauren would be leaving the company on 1/2/26. Bottom line: Greenhouse Solar changed equipment after the sale, performed poor-quality installation, mishandled required New Jersey paperwork, and repeatedly provided inaccurate information -- including claims that failed panels would fix themselves and confirming an appointment that never occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

She then went further and inquired about the issue I was having and provided some helpful insights on my issue and what I might expect regarding repair. Based on the customer service provided for someone who is not a customer I would definitely consider Greenhouse if I was shopping for a new system.

i have an orphaned system. 8/2024 i needed panels removed to replace roof. they found 2 bad panels…read morethat were not replaced after roof done. everything fine until early 2025 system has error code. i call solar living, a fellow named ETHAN diagnosed as bad connectors. upgrade to MC4. june 1 work complete. on june 6th system throws same error code. july 2 ETHAN tells me they don't guarantee work. i paid for unnecessary repair. make sure you get a contract with everything in writing. don't pay by check. use credit card so you can contest charge.

I have solar panels and an HVAC system yet I am paying $900+ in energy bills from Con Edison! I called Con Edison and they informed me that I have not been receiving g my energy credits. I have been trying to reach out to Kamtech and they haven't even bothered to reach out to me. Totally disgraceful! They should compensate me for the 3 months my panels were not producing any energy! Egor has reached out and we managed to come to an acceptable solution. He was very patient and took the time to explain certain issues that I was not aware of. Not only that, but they also compensated me towards the cost of my energy utility bill. Thank you very much for taking the time answer my questions and help steer me towards a satisfactory resolution.

The 1-2 days call back did not happen. Emailing to service@kamtechsolar.com is not an option either, no response after 6 months and a repeated attempt one month ago. Called back, 0 customers in queue, the lady remembered our conversation, she spoke to a project mgr and called me back minutes later with a scheduled installer date next week. This gives me some more confidence than what other reviews have provided. As original installer of a Sunpower system, Kamtech should cover labor costs in addition to the lifetime warranty of panels & inverters per agreement. We will see how this works out.
