Just as background, I'm extremely picky, indecisive, and have unruly thick wavy hair that was in need of color correction. After showing Amber about 50 pictures and going back and forth another 40 (thanks for your patience btw!) she gave me a perfectly blended, bright, multidimensional color that I've been getting compliments on since I walked out of the salon. I bought the…read moreLiving Social deal they had for $25, so I said what the heck, I really didn't feel like doing my own hair. The place is really nice, warm, relaxing, and inviting. The receptionist was nice and friendly as well as everyone else. My hair washer was nice but nearly scrubbed my head to death, she was scrubbing really hard that it hurt, thankfully she asked if it was to hard and she eased down a bit. But she didn't use a detangling shampoo on my hair therefore it tangled all up. She asked me if my hair tangles this much and I told her not usually because I use a detangling shampoo and I always comb my hair out before washing it which she never did which resulted in my hair being a big tangled mess after she washed it. When she was trying to comb it out I could tell she was having a hard time and she tried ripping my hair apart which I could hear my strands of hair being pulled apart and she did not finish getting the tangles out of my hair before putting me in the dryer for a deep conditioning. My hair washer was black like me so I would have thought she would understand how to wash my hair properly. Oh and some of the shampoo actually smelled like smarties candy, lol. My hairdresser Amanda was really cool, she blew my hair really straight to where it already looked press, so I really liked that. Amanda's work if very articulate she really takes the time to make sure she does everything to near perfection. She did a good job on trimming my ends, although I really didn't care for the hairstyle. But for $25 it was nice to get my hair washed and straighten. The flat iron left my hair smelling a little burnt. They use Aveda hair care products which worked on my hair nice. So all in all, for the first time I think they did good, I think I will try them again in the future maybe. Update: they used my contact info to send me emails which I never agreed to, as well as text messages. I hate when companies do this, it's quite annoying.

The location is fairly easy to get to, from where I live it took me about 35 minutes. Doesn't matter though, I love what Dana did with my hair and the products that were used, so I'll make the drive again. Dana took the time to explain the products, to show me different hair colors from the Aveda line and the organic line, and helped me make the right choice for my tresses. I opted for the organic color system for two reasons: 1. It doesn't damage your hair and lets it keep it's nutrients since there are no harsh chemicals. This means that pregnant women are able to safely color their hair. 2. There is no ammonia smell, just a delicious one that doesn't knock you out. :) Seriously. I must say that even though there is no ammonia or harsh chemicals in it, the color covered very well. The best part about the organic color was that my scalp was NOT burning and I didn't feel like itching it while the color was seeping in, THAT has never happened before. The price was definitely right for what I got done and right now, they're having 20% off your first visit. I would recommend checking them out because after my first experience there, I'm not sure if I can go back to regular coloring. Plus, it helps that they have a very friendly staff. Thanks Eko!

Everyone was very friendly and kind, and I was even able to book a last-minute appointment to have my eyebrows done, which I appreciated. However, the cost of the nail services is insanely high compared to nearby salons. I paid $92 for a simple solid blue color, and my nails started chipping just four days later. About a week later, one nail actually began peeling off, so I called and gave them the opportunity to fix it. I also mentioned fixing my eyebrows, as they were not shaped and I was never given a mirror to see the final result. I was scheduled to come back two weeks later (keeping in mind that I called only one week after the chipping started). I asked if I would be charged for the chipped nails and was told yes, because I was outside of their "two-week window" -- even though I had already called a week earlier. At that point, I was going to be charged around $45 just to fix the chips, which is nearly the cost of a new set elsewhere. I ultimately canceled my appointment, especially since I was never informed during my initial call that I would be charged to fix the chipped nails

I have never had the same stylist in my 40 years of hair cuts because no one seems to understand what I want. I arrived and was greeted so warmly. Cecilia was my stylist and she nailed it. I thought maybe it was my lack of being able to express to other stylists how I wanted my hair but Cecilia really listened to me and with her knowledge of hair she got it right! After talking awhile I told her my puppy was in the car. She said bring her in we're pet friendly. I was hesitant but we brought her in. Everyone was so nice to my "baby", gave her treats and just let her roam. My dog is very important to me so any place that is dog friendly will usually get repeat business for me. I also got my eye brows waxed. They used "new" sticks for each customer, unlike most places I've been. So much more sanitary. I had heard Cecilia was a waxing queen and its true. They look great. So my hair and brows look great, my dog is happy! I am happy! Next time I will have to get a massage. Can't go wrong. Appointments can be made online with pricing. This is also very important to me. Beth took the time to discuss what I wanted to do before my first appointment. I sent her pictures and ideas and we went over options. When I got there, I felt really comfortable, and Beth was completely genuine and friendly which is a big deal when you are with someone for long periods of time. Not only did I love the color she gave me, but I loved her and her partner. I got a really good vibe there. I am not a huge people person, so for me to so quickly like someone and feel comfortable is really saying a lot. I would recommend this salon to everyone.
