Everyone was very friendly and kind, and I was even able to book a last-minute appointment to have my eyebrows done, which I appreciated. However, the cost of the nail services is insanely high compared to nearby salons. I paid $92 for a simple solid blue color, and my nails started chipping just four days later. About a week later, one nail actually began peeling off, so I called and gave them the opportunity to fix it. I also mentioned fixing my eyebrows, as they were not shaped and I was never given a mirror to see the final result. I was scheduled to come back two weeks later (keeping in mind that I called only one week after the chipping started). I asked if I would be charged for the chipped nails and was told yes, because I was outside of their "two-week window" -- even though I had already called a week earlier. At that point, I was going to be charged around $45 just to fix the chips, which is nearly the cost of a new set elsewhere. I ultimately canceled my appointment, especially since I was never informed during my initial call that I would be charged to fix the chipped nails

My daughter went here for simple crochet braids for her birthday, and the results were beyond…read moredisappointing. She paid over $100 and came home asking me to fix her hair. The braids were the size of my thumb, and then on top of those huge braids they placed the crochet hair, making it sit on her head like a wig. To make matters worse, they left the entire back of her head with no hair, and the braiding was so lumpy that it looked careless and unprofessional. When she went back to express her concerns, instead of correcting their poor work, they told her she would have to pay again to fix it. That is absolutely unacceptable. For the money spent, the service and quality were nowhere near what anyone should expect. It was sloppy, rushed, and not worth the price. Do not put your head in their hands. Stay away!

Made an appointment for knotless braids on 6/20/26 @ 5:30 pm with Adwoa. While filling out the form…read moreI noticed that Adwoa was not listed on the drop down menu so I sent a text message for assistance. I received a reply stating to go ahead and book and she would make a note that I'd only like to be paired with Adwoa. I thanked her and attempted to book but could not bypass the question for the Braider so I put anyone available. When I book, I always answer the question No to being paired with someone else if need be. I received several confirmation texts and emails with my appointment time for 5:30 pm with Adwoa. The day of my visit at 12:11 pm I received a text with an appointment reminder with Pokes. That same day at 2:30 pm I was asked to come at 4:30 pm which I agreed. At 2:55 pm I then received another text with an appointment reminder for Helena at 4pm. At that point I decided to keep my 4:30 pm because I would not have made the 4pm which I'm glad I did because she was still busy with another customer and did not get to me until 5pm. That is 2 changes to the Braider and 2 changes to the time. When I asked the Booker about all the changes and why I was rescheduled with 2 different people she said sometimes there are issues and they have to switch Braiders. She then asked if I listed on the appointment slip that I did not want to be paired with someone else and I told her Yes. She pulled up the appointment and showed me that I had requested anyone available but I explained to her that I was not able to leave that part blank because Adwoa was not listed on the drop down menu and that she had said she would make sure I was paired with Adwoa. She did apologize but that was not enough. She should have remembered my request or once I arrived, explained to me why I had been switched around and rescheduled. Although Helena did a good job on my hair, I think that this was a major miscommunication issue. I did reach out to Mimi as she requested before you do a review, but after more than 24 hours not hearing back from her, I decided to go ahead and do the review even though I was reluctant. I have been to this shop many times but this really disappointed and frustrated me that it was handled so poorly.

Not only that, but she got all of our hair to STAY for the entire night and showed my bridesmaids how to pin my hair up once I got too hot with it down.
