Fastest braiding experience i've ever had! Admittedly it's been a minute since i've had my hair braided and was so excited that they could take me; I forgot to wash,detangle, blow-dry and moisturize beforehand. A little more water could've been used to help with the brushing/parting process but the braids are not too tight to the point to being uncomfortable. sit down time was at 5:15 and left around 7:40 as a tender- headed gal the less time in the chair the better! can't wait to go back ! I came in for a crochet the woman told me a few minutes ago, another woman rushed through the door she didn't want to my original style she picks a quick pre looped style . She didn't even me a mirror for the back she barley put hair back there and I was leaving town . Overall disappointing experience with Tabitha's Hair Braiding from beginning to end. When I initially called to schedule an appointment I was hung up on before the person said hello. I called back and the person scheduled me for 9:30 on a Saturday. When I arrived for my appointment, the shop was booked and one of the braiders notified me that someone called off so I would need to wait for a short while. After about an hour waiting, I asked if I should just come back later. She said yes and indicated that they would call me when they were available. The called about 2 1/2 hours later, which ultimately made me really late for the evening event that I was attending. The actual look of the braids were ok, I have had much better at the shop I normally receive my services. For the standard bra strap length boho braids, I paid $300, which was $80 more than how much I pay at my normal shop. There was no dis point provided for their extremely late start or any of the inconvenience I experienced. Unlikely that I would return unless I simply can't make it to my normal shop and schedule an appointment on a weekday. read more

I have found the perfect braiding shop for my daughter and I. We initially came here because of the great reviews and after we seen the amazing job Olda did on a friend, we knew we had found the perfect place! Olda braided my daughters hair so diligently with patience and grace! She paid attention to every detail and even ensured that she had the bottom of the braids curled so cute! My daughter can't stay out of the mirror now! Thanks Olda for going above and beyond to service even the youngest of clients with respect and dignity. The shop has a great atmosphere and I especially enjoyed the ambiance of the gospel music playing as I almost fell asleep from the heavenly hair treatment. Tabitha serviced me and I can most definitely echo all that has been stated about her in reviews she is very nice and pleasant. She was very appreciative for us entrusted her and her team to service us on today, which I thought was very refreshing as that is a rare quality seen nowadays. Tabitha worked very quickly and efficiently in doing my crochet style. She kept asking if I was ok and to let her know if the braids were too tight. The braids weren't tight at all and my hair never hurt due to the braiding which I am ever grateful. I've never had crochet braids but they turned out fabulous! Tabitha also recommended a seed oil for hair growth that I plan on trying out ! I was expecting to be in the shop for 4-5 hours or more but I was seated right away as well as my daughter at 10 am sharp and we were out of there in less than 3 hours. Tabitha made me feel so comfortable as she braided my hair. I was so relaxed to the point of rest and relaxation. I was very happy with my experience at Tabitha's. Tabitha was the person that did my hair and was extremely professional. I was on her waiting list and she called me back a day ahead of schedule, and was very communicative when it came to a scheduling change. She was extremely pleasant and just had great energy. I was able to see her work on 2 clients that were a head of me that had quicker styles and they looked good. Also, her salon is the cleanest, most well maintained salon I've seen. I came to Tabitha's to get waist length box braids. My appointment was at 9:00 am and that wasn't more than a 5 minute wait while I picked out my hair colors. The hair shop is very clean and nice, nothing like what I am used to. The women were very professional. I was given a picture book to choose the type of braids that I wanted and sat in a chair to get started. I asked for medium thick braids and after around 7 of my braids were finished I was switched to another stylist. I noticed that my braids were too thin. They were all taken down briefly and restarted without any attitude. There were a lot of customers coming in to make an appointment, and they were also taking walk-ins. I took about 6 hours to complete and I love my braids. I will definitely come back and refer them to my friends. I really loved their cleanliness and professionalism. read more

They are so unprofessional I had an hair appointment @3 didn't get in the chair till about 6 then once I did get in the chair they put 3 different people in my head the middle and back of my hair is completely fucked up my parts are big with small braids it's haven't even been a month and my hair is already coming out the braids a lady named blessing did the front an did a great job but the 2 young girls DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HEAD! I normally love the way they braid my hair. This time I went to get Knotless braids, but they are not so "Knotless". I love Tabitha and most of her staff, but this time I am not impressed. The energy of the lady that did my hair was off from the beginning. She act like she didn't want to do my hair from the beginning. I don't know if it was the length I chose (waste length) that she didn't want to do or the Knotless. But if it was Knotless she could have just said that, I would have went elsewhere. Knotless braids does not have knots, that's the whole point of Knotless. I have fallen in love with Knotless for that reason, no knots. But when I left, of course most if not all of my braids have knots. Not satisfied at all. read more

This salon is one of the best I've visited yet. The other reviewers are spot on when describing the cleanliness and hospitality of all of the stylists there. They make you feel very comfortable when you walk in the door. I had a short wait for my stylist, but the atmosphere is so pleasant it bothered me not one bit. From what I saw and experienced they use pretty good products. The hair was definitely different than what I've had in the past. Also, my stylist, Rachel, had loving hands.These braids do not hurt one bit. I am so used to my head splitting for at least a week. She had some assistance from one of the other stylists which sped up the process. I was out of there in less than 5 hours. Not bad! It's a gem of a salon...Tabitha (I believe namesake and owner) is just the sweetest lady. They all are..and very skilled. If you are looking for a braid shop, stop by here. Tabitha salon had great service and they're very personal with each client. You can tell the workers care and listen when you speak, and if you don't wanna speak they leave you be. I got my hair braided there in box braids which I have in right now, and I got crotchet previously. They're extremely professional and their precision is amazing, they're the only people that could get the sides of my short hair braided. This is one of the BEST Hair Braiding Shops I've ever been to! I called for an appointment and told the owner, Tabitha, what style my daughter wanted and she was very honest in letting me know that for that particular style it was only going to last a couple of weeks and for the amount of money the style cost, she wanted me to know up front to make sure I was sure this was the style I wanted. That is what I call AMAZING customer service!! She was very informative on what products to use for my daughter's hair because it is very dry. My Daughter's hair turned out Beautiful.
