We've had squirrel damage to the system with costly repairs, some by Alt E. But the follow up on helping me troubleshoot the system back to working, including setting up a Gateway monitoring system has been poor. Initial installation was great, but I am clearly on my own now.

Utilizing the sun, is right on numerous levels and so much better/smarter than paying an ever- increasing bill from an electric company. My solar array is now up and running, after wanting it for more than a decade! Alt-e Wind & Solar, Rick, Amy, Dylan, Shane and Drake were absolutely wonderful through every phase of my project. I knew exactly what was going to happen, almost minute by minute. Every question I asked was answered. Every possible issue was addressed. Rick went to bat for me each time Xcel threw up a roadblock. Rick gave me options, for not just the present but looking ahead, 30-40 years. I had researched solar for years. Every quote I received was $20,000.00, and or much more, than my end cost from Alt-E Wind & Solar. When I asked Rick why his final quote was so much less, he told me he has purchased his own equipment. Other companies rent theirs, passing that cost on to you. Rick and his crew pre- builds as much of the solar products as they can, also keeping costs down. This is my home, I am a "native", if you are from here, you know what that means. I feel I did the right thing for the earth and my pocket book by installing solar by Alt-e Wind & Solar. A quote costs you nothing. Although I can't guarantee you 365 days of Colorado sunshine, I CAN promise you a truly enlightened education in solar and a great conversation with Rick. Call today! (970)482-SOLAR (7652) .

Whenever I got an issue in front of the right person, they took it seriously and got things moving. The system itself is working great. The one area that really needs improvement is project management. From my perspective it was largely absent--I received essentially no responses from my assigned PM, and even my request for a new one went unanswered. Issues that could have been handled earlier, including a requirement identified before construction, contributed to an inspection failure and months of delay in fully closing out the project. I also had to request a final walkthrough myself, which seems like something project management should have coordinated. What is bizarre is how strong the rest of the team was. Operations in particular did a great job stepping in when things needed attention, and the people actually doing the work and operational oversight were great. It felt like a lot of very capable people were working there and able to get around the project-management function. I'd recommend Photon Brothers. I'm happy with the finished product and everyone that I interacted with were excellent with the exception of the nonexistent project manager. My main suggestion would be to make sure there is clear, responsive project ownership from beginning to end, including a way to hand a project to someone else when that isn't happening.

Absolutely horrible customer service and a very disappointing experience…read more During an energy audit, my hardwood floor was damaged. I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. In my opinion, moving a customer's security camera without permission is a serious security concern. Xcel's website has a list of companies you should use I'll provide a list below. We purchased a new home in '21 and knew we wanted to do at least three things right off the bat: 1)…read moreinsulate the attic, 2) install solar, and 3) an EV charger. I was pleased to find that REenergizeCO did them all and were more than just an installer but on mission to increase energy efficiency. From start to finish communication was fantastic. They first did the insulation and we noticed a difference almost immediately. They also took care of submitting the Xcel rebate paperwork for it. The solar panels and EVSE came a bit later. Again, they took care of all the paperwork with Xcel. The system has been working without flaw since and saving us tons of money in this inflated energy cost environment. We had them out recently to detach and reset the panels for a roof replacement. They took the opportunity to slightly tweak the layout for better efficiency. Still the same commitment to quality!
