Later on when i turned it on i realized they had installed it backwards and the supply and returns were all reversed. They were out the next day had the whole thing removed and reinstalled correctly in about 6 hours. I think this is a good company because they are fast to respond to issues and fix their mistakes. All contractors make mistakes and the good ones are the ones who fix them with minimal headaches to the customer.

I hired Welzig once, and a CMS technician showed up to do the service. He did the work quickly and replaced my humidifier contactor pad for free, but then the selling started. Replace my perfectly good Honeywell thermostat with a smart controller ($500+) that uses forecasts from the internet instead of the house temperature to decide when to run. Clean the ducts for $1,000 (do they know about the ValPak $299 company?). Add a water alarm device for $500 (I already have one from a multipack I got at Costco for $20). Literally $10k in recommended "improvements", and they really really wanted me to sign up for a service membership. Sure I get my tune ups, but also a plumbing and electrical consult I don't need each year. I have no confidence whatsoever they wouldn't intentionally damage or fail to service my unit in order to get me to buy a new one. I'm a redneck engineer from the South. I'm used to chainsawing my way out of the neighborhood after hurricanes, building blast furnaces using old lawnmowers, and cobbling together whatever I'm wanting to make (chicken coops, rabbit hutches, fences, you name it) out of whatever scraps are laying around or free on Craigslist. I'm scrappier and more miserly than most, but for those like me who are inclined to open their condenser when it stops running instead of calling an HVAC company to spend $250 on diagnostics, this is not the company for you anymore.

Our air system is out and we have pets and young kids so getting it fixed is a priority. When I called them their system pushed me to text with them, which I did. The conversations went overall well, and they were going to get back to me later in the day. Hours later with nothing, I text back. Answer--they have been really busy. I could wait or call if I wanted--not exactly useful. My wife called and the dispatcher claimed straight up that the person she was speaking to was personally handling those messages all day, but for some reason mine didn't exist. Wait, what? I just texted you 5 minutes before she called so it clearly wasn't you. I texted back and asked why two different people were claiming they were talking to me, and the response that I got was that they would get back to dispatch to deal with the confusion (not dealing with the identity mix up), and that I could pay double for an emergency call. Finally the texts changed, and someone new introduced me and informed me that I was talking to their useless AI system all day, which is incredibly irresponsible to do and not disclose. So, yea, we have wasted an entire day talking to their stupid AI system (without knowing it), and it was happy to tell me what I wanted to hear for hours (in an 87 degree house) without actually providing me assistance. Best news? They told me that they could still get to me on Monday--only three more days of 90 degree indoor heat! If I could go back I would certainly call someone else. Edit: Called a company in a neighboring town. They had someone here within an hour. The part that needed replacement was obvious, and someone could have picked it up today if I hadn't dealt with this dishonest garbage. Now I have to wait until Monday because it is tool late in the evening to order it. So, cool, they have officially messed us up through at least Monday (assuming everything goes OK).

Stay away from this company. We had very low pressure in our…read moreclaw foot tub shower. They charged $269 to put in a rebuilt divertor valve and replace a shower head . The shower head was only a few months old so I don't know why they did that. (It was our rental and we weren't there when they did it) . They rebuilt the existing diverter by installing one rubber washer. The water pressure was still very low- the problem wasn't fixed! So we had them back to correct it 3 weeks later , at hopefully no charge. Nope. They charged us $75 and said we needed an entire new unit- that the piece that the diverter fit into or sat against was worn out. Estimate for the part was $700- something! Plus 3-4 hours labor at $100+ an hour. We bought the new assembly for $170 and it took all of 15 minutes MAYBE to do it ourselves- to shut the water off and 3 bolts.
