Just to look at things there was a $135 diagnostic fee, that (assuming I ultimately use them) would go toward whatever repair was need. This seemed potentially like a better deal so I scheduled a time for a tech to come out. Well the tech just left, after quoting me close to $900 to repair the refrigerator! $900 is literally the cost of the refrigerator new! He even told me that if there were other issues the cost could go up to $2000! I can't express how frustrated I am at this situation, and how absurdly expensive Columbine is. Had the person on the phone at least given me a range of potential costs I would never have gone with them. Now it's off to Frigidaire. In the end I will be spending close to $500 to fix a refrigerator that only cost $900.
