No longer my fave, & I'm saddened as it's closest to home & I have ALWAYS RAVED about them. I'm not sure what happened here, but the last 4-5 times I've been here it's just been left & right bad experience after another. I've been coming here ever since they opened & I loved the owners. But, I just can't take the poor experiences & cost & have my nails chip within 2-3 DAYS. My last few pedis were HIGHLY disappointing, barely any massage, quick & poor paint job, & their pedis were the ONLY reason I had continued to go since my hands ALWAYS CHIPPED (mind you I have shellac on now that's lasted since the 14th & now the 23rd, and absolutely look GREAT STILL) Totally saddened that the no longer want to come here. read more

Great service, everyone was so friendly! pedicure was so relaxing and I love the massage chairs to use while getting a pedicure.

Probably one of the worst shellac manicures I've had. The lady stood next to my pedicure chair and did my manicure from start to finish while my pedicure was happening. When I get pedicures I like to relax and close my eyes but there was zero relaxing happening! They put a pillow on my lap as a work station to do my nails, all the while I'm wondering how this woman can see and trim my cuticles in the dim light. Turns out she couldn't see them because they look really sloppy. Every time I needed to move my foot for the pedicure lady my "workstation" would shift... it felt very hokey. I gave two stars instead of one because the pedicure lady did a good job on painting my toes. I would have preferred they just told me they didn't have time for both a manicure and pedicure and just completed one of them well. Will not return. read more

We were having lunch in the area so we tried Solar Nails based on the location. It was terrible and absolutely not worth it. The people were nice but rushed through my pedicure. The massage chairs are so old the cushion under your rear was worn out and uncomfortable. The paint was applied *incredibly* sloppily. A friend asked if I had my kid paint them! The area between the nail and cuticles were flooded, there was paint on the skin of my toes around my nails, and the areas where she did "wipe away" the sloppy paint was done so badly it left my toes the faint color of my polish. I will never return to this salon. read more

Worst service out of all the nail salons I've been too. Literally in and out in 30 mins for a mani-pedi. The girl was in such a rush that she didn't even file my nails she just cut them really really short. No lotion or anything for my hands and she rushed my Pedi. read more

I had never been here before so me and my friend decided to try it out. They were very nice and stayed open after hours for us which I definitely appreciate. Instead of taking their time and doing quality work they rushed it and did a horrible job on my nails, burned me multiple times with the tools and were very rough. I would've rather been told to come back another time than have my nails turn out like this. I showed them a reference picture and what they did was not even close and they didn't ask me how short I wanted them before cutting them so they were way too short and when I said I would like them longer they said they would have to completely restart and that this was a good length despite what I asked for so I let them continue. When I first got there I showed the reference picture and explained I wanted them matte and asked how much it would be and I was told it would be $50 and in the end got charged $60 and was told they never said it would be $50. I left feeling ripped off and dissatisfied, I do not recommend going to this salon. read more

This is a very nice facility with very friendly staff. Clean and well maintained. The only problem is that when you pay as much as $40 for a manicure they don't even include a hand massage. The other spot I go to Ivy's nails does this. For a cheaper cost you get a great long hand massage and lotion and free coffee with e Rey manicure. I'll keep going there but thus was a nice substitute. read more

I had a little issue before where I had a fill done and then a nail broke, they charged for the fix and when I communicated with them about it they immediately fixed it and took really good care of me- particularly Mai. Went here for the first time and had an awesome pedicure by Jennifer. She made sure to ask me if the water, towels, massage stones and wax are too hot. She ensured I had a nice, relaxing pedi. I had made an appointment for three of us and the staff were ready for us when we arrived. We all had nice pedis done. Place is clean and chairs are comfy. This is not my normal nail salon, but I needed my nails done today, Labor Day, and my regular salon couldn't fit me in. I checked out all of the local salons on yelp to see if there was somewhere that looked like a good fit because my nails are almond shaped, and not everyone can do that well. I managed to get in before there was a huge lineup behind me. They were shortstaffed because of the holiday, but incredibly busy. Even though I could tell the staff was overwhelmed trying to get to everyone in a timely manner, they still did a great job on myself and everyone else from what I could see. And even though it was busy I was promptly greeted, seated and offered something to drink. Which I can say I don't get at my regular salon. Everyone was so friendly, the salon is incredibly clean and beautiful on the inside. It's a little bit further of a drive for me than my previous place but I think I will definitely be back! I didn't plan on switching salons but I'm so happy with the service and the way my nails turned out I will definitely be making a switch! read more

Apparently not, both services were very rushed, even though if they weren't rushed the salon would not have officially closed that much later than if I did not come when I did. I am hooked! Stopped in here on a Sunday, as they were the only salon open past 5 on a Sunday near me. I'm so in love with the uplifting spirit, I personally got the manager and she was so friendly! She did my nails perfect, thin and short acrylic and didn't try to sell me every service they offer and the 1st time I said acrylic she didn't try to sell me on Solar or gel. Thank you, I know what I want and how I want it. I really appreciate the clean and very natural light of the salon. Great atmosphere especially after the hell at had a another salon out in Salmon Creek (out of my way drive). I was a little discouraged to keep my fake nails after that experience. This location is by far the most sanitary, professional, thorough, and fast nail salon I've been to in this area.. There are, I believe, at least 5 salons within 2 minutes from here, so they definitely need to be competitive.. I had been going to Princess Nails, then tried to stop in today for a fill and pedi.. they said it would be an hour wait.. I yelped other salons.. Elegant nails was the closest but they have a bad rep for being unsanitary.. so I tried Solar.. They are right by the Costco I go to.. when I arrived they were dead, but by the time I left they picked up.. They are sweet, organized, and make sure you're happy. It's a newer location too so it's clean, and laid out in a way that makes sense- Ill be back! read more

When my daughter let me know she needed more money I was shocked to hear that they wanted $31. In the past they have charged me $5 for the eyebrows because they DO NOT want them shaped at all. Just. a. strip. in the. middle. This time it was $12 each because the technician shaped my son's eyebrows- after being told by them AND my daughter not to do so. I wish it was possible to rate this salon with zero stars. This has got to be the worst experience I've had a salon. I went in to get a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. When the lady did my eyebrows she waxed off almost half of my left eyebrow. After she did that she didn't say anything, she just left the room and went and got Mai. Mai didn't say anything as well and proceeded to "fix" my eyebrows by making them way too thin. When she showed me my eyebrows, she said I could just draw them in and gave me an eyebrow brush. She then gave me a 10$ certificate to come back after they grow out. Regardless of the money, there's is no way I'd ever let them touch my eyebrows again. I went in the day before I left for Hawaii and left with 10 red toes, one had a cut on the end from her nail cutters, the other 9 were red from where the woman had pulled off my cuticles instead of cutting them off as most people do. My first visit and Louie, who did my manicure, rushed the job and removed such a small portion of the acrylic fill on my nails that he neglected to find the mold growing on my thumb. Spent less than 30 minutes on my nails including the time I spent washing my hands and choosing a nail polish color. I was told to pay, which included the tip, midway through. After the polish, he completely ignored me for 25 minutes while my nails dried and he began work on another client. He finally acknowledged me only to say I could leave. Later, I contacted the salon to tell them about my unsatisfactory visit only to be redirected three times before speaking to a woman who did not provide her name. She informed me that they never take more than 30 minutes to do acrylic fills. Completely defended the service provided and apparently didn't care to offer any apology or remediation. Needless to say, I won't return and luckily went to 10 Nails salon three weeks later where the mold was uncovered by Donna, who is very caring and professional. It must be medicated and I have to wait for my nail bed to grow out completely. If Solar Nails had done the service I paid for, the mold would have been discovered earlier and not have progressed so far. read more
