I gave this place 4 chances. My first experiance was good. Fair price, no wait and my toes looked ok. So, I went back. It was right b/f Christmas and I needed a polish change. There was one other customer and everyone was sitting around. When I told the lady what I wanted, she treated me like an imposition. She didn't talk, she was rough and not happy. I went back again, and again it was ok. The last time was my last. I walked in and a dog was at the door, and kept coming over. (Not a service dog). A nail place is no place for an animal. I did not want gel, and they kept asking. I asked for clear on my fingers. I had to ask the lady to come back and add it. No base, no top coat just polish (did not last an entire day). The lady doing my toes kept passing gas. The messages were not great for my hands or feet. I went to check out and they tried to charge me a fee for using a debt card. That is not legal in Texas for debit only credit cards. It took her almost 10 minutes to ring me up. She was more concerned with the tip than anything else. They could not pay ME to go back. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at solar nail spa. I was a little iffy based on the yelp reviews and ratings, but once I arrived, the ambience was relaxing, the staff was friendly, and I feel like I definitely got what I paid for. The prices are a little higher, but I feel like nails are expensive everywhere so that's not a big deal. I really appreciate it elementary drink that they offer with your service, as well as the patients they all exhibited as I had both my three year old son, and four year old daughter with me. Cyndi did my nails, and she was very friendly and paid pretty good attention to detail. I didn't catch the name of the person who did my daughters nails nor did I get the name of them woman who did my pedicure but she did a great job. I got the diva Pedi and it was great. I really don't have any complaints. For a polish change for hands and feet on my daughter, a dip on my hands, and gel polish with a diva pedicure, my total was 110. Not really sure how it broke down but not bad. I'm from Los Angeles and was not disappointed in any way. Great service, great work. I'll be back! read more

me and my mom went here yesterday because they were the only place at the town center accepting walk ins at the time with no wait. we were there over 3 hours for two sets of toes (basic treatment) and i got a set of acrylics and my eyebrows waxed. toes were fine. the lady that did my nails also did my eyebrows. on my nails she went over them multiple times trying to fix the shape and file the nail but at the end my nails still don't look the best. on my eyebrows when she said she was done she handed me the mirror to look and it looked fine to me but i was also having to deal with my eyes adjusting because of how bright the lights were in there. once i left i ended up coming back in because my mom looked at my eyebrows and the middle wasn't cleaned up well and neither were the ends of my eyebrows and she wasn't paying for something that they didn't fix. when i went back in and asked for her to fix it she ended up saying "i can tell that your skin is sensitive so i try to be careful" my skin was fine i get my eyebrows waxed normally. if she would have said something i could have cleared it up and there wouldn't have been a problem and i wouldn't have had to come back. now i have problems with my anxiety and supper shy so i'm not the type that's comfortable telling them "oh you need to fix this, this, and that" etc. so i definitely will not be come back. if you can't get something right the first time when what j wanted was showed to the people it's ridiculous. I took her back and she didn't want those again. They said we would have to pay for them. They were not filed well and some square and some rounded. Horrible service. My daughter got a nexgen set and they burned her nails by drilling off the prior nails instead of soaking and they cut several areas on her cuticles and fingers by rough filing. This place needs to be shut down. My daughter said there were only three people in the salon so absolutely no need to rush and be rough. Another thing is one of the male technicians stood beside her and stared at her and creeped her out. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. Plus they are up charging everything. I've tried with this place. I just can't do it again. This was probably my 5th time here. These people are rude. They act like you are a nuisance. They sold me on the NexGen Nails. I kept trying to ask questions and was told over and over they are better for your nails. How are they better? They are not smooth they feel lumpy. The shape is not what I wanted but I was exhausted by the whole experience. I was then told by the girl doing my feet they need to take off my dead skin. Duh of course. What I didn't know is that it was 10.00 more. My feet do not have excessive dead skin. When you speak to the girls working there they will answer you then turn to each other and speak in a different language. While I know this is common, coupled with the poor treatment of the staff it comes across as horribly rude. read more

I took my daughter and her friend to get their nails done here on sunday. I guess since tbey were young they just didnt care. I had her redo my daughters white nails because u could see thru them they were so thin. When i asked her to redo them she said they will ve to thick. I told her they would not so she ended up redojng them for her. Then today mo day( the day after) my daughter has already lost a nail. It completly came off. This place is overpriced for the quality you get. I live in Frisco and pay less and am always satisfied with what I get. I came to this place to meet up with my friends and I got a pedicure and nexgen nails. I felt like I was in an assembly line. My toe polish chipped within 3 days which I'm usually impressed with how long the paint lasts when I get them pained at a salon. My nails look fat and some have waves. I'm not satisfied at all for paying $90. I'm going to get them soaked off and redone when I get home from vacation I won't be going there again. read more

This place is not good and it is very expensive! The lady who did my next gen filed my nails at an angle in so that my nails are narrower on top. She also did them very square with sharp corners even though I asked her fora round, natural look. Basically, I wanted the shape they already were when I came in! When I complained, she said that the problem was the shape of my nails and that she had to file them that way. Well I have never had this issue at any other place! They look horrible and I will have to wait until they grow out to get a normal shape back. The lady who did my pedicure left my nails completely jagged!? Once had a very sweet lady that scrubbed my legs raw, burned me with the towels, but was trying so hard I couldn't bear to tell her she was just terrible. Very expensive. I hate to say this, but I 'll never go back. I live in Oklahoma and had a $75 gift card here. When I went to use it they said I had $15 left. "I've never used this card. I've never even been here before." If ever I get my nails done it's in Oklahoma. I was only here to use the gift card I received. They said no, you were here in January and so-and-so did your nails. This was impossible. I HAD NEVER BEEN THERE and that gift card had sat on my dresser for a year. About to cry, I paid the remaining balance and left. Not only did the color I chose look nothing like the sample I had selected it from, but the woman who did my nails, although very nice, cut FIVE of them crooked and left half of them filed with rough edges. Even when I asked her to straighten them, they remained significantly crooked. For years, probably 8 or so, this has been the only nail salon in the area that I went to. The owner was always very welcoming and so friendly to visit with. Its actually hard writing this because I like him so much, but given that this is probably the third or fourth time lately that I've come and he hasn't been here it's safe to say things have changed. I had hoped it was only going to be a one time thing, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case. Used to you would get top notch customer service with awesome pedicures. I always get the highest package which should include a 35 minute massage. Today, and this is not the first time it's happened, my massage didn't even reach 20 minutes and I will pay $65 for that. They aren't even busy so it's not like she had someone else to get to. I timed it from when she started and stopped it when she did. I was shocked. I should have left when I saw the owner wasn't here. Now, due to the pattern of pour attention to the quality of pedicures I'm receiving, I won't be back. My next gen nails are ok, but my manicurist paid more attention to her phone than my nails. I hope I'm the only one this happens to, but based on recent reviews it looks like it's a new pattern. I hate to say it, but if you're looking for a great place to go, try somewhere else. I have been a 13 yr customer of Sherman Solar Nails. Today was the last. I took in a new gift card my husband gave me for $100. It turned out to be a used card that already had charges on it from 2017, 2018 & from 2 weeks ago in 2019. It only had $45 left on it out of the $100. Someone else out there has a card with this same number keyed on it. I don't know how it words, but I do know that someone used a card with this same number 2 weeks ago and it wasn't me. So I was cheated out of $55 and the person with this same number on their card is going to be upset when their money also disappears because I emptied the card. When I told the guy at the desk that there was obviously a mistake, he started yelling at me and said I had forgotten that I had been in there. I had to tell him to quiet down. In 13 years they have always been full of customers. Today, there were 2 of us.. I didn't see the girl clean and disinfect my whirlpool foot bath like they always have in the past when they finished. The place had a totally different feel than it had with Phillip as the manager in the past. Too bad, but there is plenty of good competition in town. read more

My daughter and friend went to Escape Nail Salon in Sherman today. Let's just say, never again. The girls nails were very sloppy, not filed correctly, different lengths. My daughter got a lot of big cuts. Both girls were doing baseball theme. Well the nail techs done orange, and the girls kept telling them no red. Did not listen. But what really PISSED me off is that the nail tech took my daughter's phone and dropped it, and craked the screen. The place would not fix anything!! The staff here are very rude if you go back to have something fixed. My experience was with the nexgen. They did a poor job and the nexgen ran over onto my skin and it was noticeable until 2 days later. So I went back to have them file around the nail bed so they would grow out good and Cindy in particular was so rude. Her response to me was I don't have time for that with the rudest got to hell look on her face... this was after me tipping her 10 bucks 2 days prior! Terrible Terrible Terrible. I went in and explained I had a latex allergy and couldn't have the gloves touch my skin. You would have thought I dropped some colossal bomb on them. They explained that they couldn't provided callus removal with my service because they couldn't wear the gloves (I told them that was fine), next the lady burned my skin with hot towels and the did worst nail job I have ever experienced. There was nail polish on my skin and the polish that made it on the nail was clumpy. My 5 year old niece could have done a better job. When I went to pay I had to pay the full price regardless of the fact that I didn't recieve the entire packaged service. I will not be returning to this nail salon ever. And I would highly recommend that you save yourself the trouble and not go there either. read more
