I've had alot of tattoos here and they look fantastic! Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Had a decent experience here. The little dude at the front desk was not very personable and had a little bit of an attitude. But my artist, Micah was great and completely made me forget the little snot at the front desk. I'm going to give the place five stars based on Micah. My daughter had picked a design that she, my wife and I each wanted. Micah was a perfectionist and adjusted the design until it was just right, then gave all three of us our tattoos. Our daughter just turned eighteen and this was her first tattoo, so she was a little nervous and I think it hurt a little more than she expected - the inner surface of the bicep is a pretty tender place. Micah was polite and friendly and kept up pleasant conversation with all of us while he worked. We are all very pleased with the work Micah did. Before we left, Micah made sure we all knew we could come back for a free touch-up if we needed it. Turns out mine needed one little thing fixed and Micah was very welcoming and friendly as he did the touch-up. Very pleased with Micah's work! read more

GREAT ART, SHADY CUSTOMER SERVICE i would have given 1 star because of the terrible experience i had, but my girlfriend did get a pretty nice tattoo so i gave an extra star for that. My Experience at Modified Design: ok, so my girl and i wanted to get a couple's tattoo to commemorate moving in together and 6 months of an awesome relationship. on facebook, we saw the work one of Modified Design's artists, named Ox McCullough, was doing. it's great work and after seeing the great art on their facebook page, we saw that Modified was offering a great tattoo special to mark being open for 5 years. we saw this as a great opportunity to get the tattoos we had been wanting. So we made reservations for 8:00 last friday. we saved our money, and drove from out of state and got there about 7:30, excited about getting tattoo'd together. Ox knows how to put ink in your skin. we wanted a great artist because tattoos are forever. the place was decently clean, as well. but that that is about the extent of the professionalism we were shown that night. i was going to go first, but the tattoo design i chose was a little too busy and Ox didn't feel like he could do it justice, so i got my first "no" of the night from him. we decided to let my girlfriend go first while i decided what i would get. so they worked up a design for my girl and after about 10 minutes, they had a design. then we went and sat on a couch for 40 minutes wondering when we were going to get worked on. i figured the area would be set up, ready to go due to the fact that we had made an appointment. but apparently they needed an extra half hour for that. when we *finally* got my girl on the tattoo bench, things went smoothly. it was great watching the tattoo take shape, and my GF and i are very pleased with they way it turned out. during the course of watching her get her ink, and since the design i originally chose was not feasible, i decided i would just get the same tattoo that my girlfriend was getting. i figured it would save time and make it special, and i really liked the tattoo she got. so by now it is just after 10pm, and Ox, my GF, and i go to back up to the counter for aftercare instructions and to pay for her tattoo. we pay, and i'm stoked and ready to get a great tattoo... i had psyched myself up over the last half hour, and was so ready for it. i tell Ox that i just want to get the exact same tattoo as he just did on my girl, and he looks at me and gives me another "No". a lame, uncaring "No". he shook his head, and said "we're only open for a couple more hours" and "it would take a while to set up the area". OX THEN TOLD ME that they were booked solid until the special was over and that the tattoo i wanted would be twice as expensive then. *even though he already had the design *even though it took less than 2 hours to do my girl's tattoo *even though there were 2 hours left til closing *even though it was obvious we were there to get tattoo'd together *even though WE HAD BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT A WEEK EARLY so obviously we left feeling like crap and 1000% disappointed that we weren't able to celebrate our moving in together in the way we wanted. i also felt a little scammed, since i was locked out of the special and would have to pay at least twice as much as i had been told it would cost. so yesterday i went on facebook and in my feed was a thread Modified Design had made about cancellations and booking an appointment. still feeling a bit down because of the serious disappointment Ox handed me a few days before, i commented on the thread how i had been denied my tattoo even though i had made an appointment. i went to check on the thread a little bit ago to see what they had to say, and lo-and-behold, my comments were deleted and i was blocked from commenting further. this is when i decided to make a review here Mr. McCullough may do great tattoos, but his customer service is absolutely lacking and he is does not give a poop about his clients. you would do well to find another tattoo shop, or at the very least ask for a different artist when you go to Modified. read more

Honestly had never heard of this shop till a friend of mine (Cody Loman, piercer) got a job there. It is by far the most interesting, clean and high class of all the tattoo/piercing shops I have ever been too. Everyone is friendly and they all do a quality job. It's not all about taking your money its about giving the customer what they want and having them leave with a smile. Ricky is an amazing owner and his ideas are unique and brilliant. The shop has come far compared to what's out there (especially for north tx) and its only going further. read more

Its been nearly 6 years since i got my tattoo at this place, and after all the medical procedures and transfusions i have recieved because of it, i cant say i think they are a great tattoo company. While i am very weak, due to the blood disease i now have, i hope the business is at least now inspecting and cleaning their equipment like they should have from the beginning. Life is short, find a real tattoo shop....you get what you pay for i guess, i didn't think i was paying for this. read more

I had been wanting to get my Tragus pierced for some time now and was referred to them by a friend. I have to say that I was really pleased and impressed by the staff. Everybody was really nice and didn't make you feel stupid when you asked questions. My piercers name was Cody and he was able to answer my questions in detail and was able to keep me calm, and was very quick with the piercing part I'm very happy w/ my results so far and when this side heals I'll be going back to get the other side done. :) read more

Since I was recommended to Modified Design they are the only place I go to and have since gotten 3 tattoos and 2 piercings there. Their shop is extremely clean and everyone that works there has always been nice. They are all extremely knowledgeable and don't have a problem answering any questions. They do different specials if you look out for them on Facebook and they are very reasonable for how great all the work is. I keep cards and always recommend my friends if they talk about tattoos or piercings and have never been there. read more
