The Spa was my favorite part of the stay at Choctaw! The staff is very helpful, and nonchalant. I never felt stressed or rushed. They understand the importance of relaxation. My masseuse was phenomenal and knowledgeable. Her light hearted jokes and attentiveness were great. The facilities are very clean and easy to maneuver. Since spa guests can come and go as we please we started the day with massages, went to brunch, then returned later in the day for the pool and other amenities. Everything from the specialty, custom soaps, to the shower facilities, and the steam room were on point. I could sense from discussion with other guests that some would've preferred a coed hot tub, but the pool makes up for that. read more

Overnight couples getaway. 90 min drive -- 1st up after checking in is our couples spa appt at 1pm. Once we check in to our room in the same hotel as the spa, a voicemail is received from the spa saying we are late for our 12:15pm couples appt. huh? Called the spa from the hotel phone numerous times to understand what's going on but no answer. We start to walk the 15 mins to the spa as we both continue to call. I alone called 18 times. No answer. We get to the spa where the young lady tells us that the spa itself changed our time from 1pm to 12:15pm. what?!?? and she's been much "too busy" to answer the phone. keep in mind that she wasn't too busy to call and let customers know they are late for an appt that the spa changed to 45 mins earlier than the time that was confirmed with no regard to the people actually paying for the service. The manager tried to help though the entire situation was ridiculous. she would be able to "get us in" over 2 hrs after the appointment time of 1pm that the spa had confirmed, which overlapped with other plans we had at that time-- thus the reason people ask for specific times when making appointments. if you make reservations at this spa, do yourself a favor and call to confirm that they didn't change your confirmed time--- if you can get anyone to answer their phone. My daughter and I received massages at the Spa and loved them! The next day, I received a facial, the Luxe Age Defying, and totally loved it! The same day, my daughter received the Fire and Ice Treatment, which was supposed to be a stimulating facial for immediate radiance, targeting sun-damaged skin and instantly firming and smoothing for a youthful glow (she is 38 years old). Her skin is burning, blotchy, red, and irritated, even the day after the facial. So even though we loved our massages and I liked my facial, hers was not a pleasant experience and is still hurting. read more

I received a 60 minute therapeutic massage by Annette and it was amazing! She asked me before hand if anything had been bothering me and I explained I had been having more than usual neck pain after some yoga classes...lol! She applied heat to my neck during the massage and worked my muscles out in my neck. It was pure heaven. It is easy to book a service online or if you are already there to just pop in and schedule it. I scheduled my massage Friday afternoon for Saturday morning. Not too busy at all. The Spa is clean and relaxing. There are waiting areas for women, men separately and combined. There is also flavored water in multiple places. The worst massage I've ever received. I usually get a massage once a month, so when we're traveling I like to try out different spas. This was by far the worst. My husband and I booked the couples massage. We told both therapists that we wanted specific attention paid to our backs because they were sore. My husband loved his massage by the male therapist, but the woman who did mine was awful! It honestly felt like she was just rubbing my back by moving her hands up and down. No actual massaging of areas. I asked her twice to increase the pressure because I could barely feel anything she was doing. As she was rubbing my back she would pass over knots in my muscles from time to time. Never once did she stop to actually work on the knots. I couldn't believe it! Half way through the massage she wanted to work on my legs and I had to ask her to please try and work the knots that she found while rubbing my back! I have never had to ask a massage therapist before in my life! That's literally their job! Well once she started "working" on the knots I realized why she had skipped over them. She had no idea what she was doing! She'd rub my back until she felt the knot and then she'd put her elbow AROUND THE KNOT! never once actually massaging the area. Just rubbing and elbow. Then when I went to pay I found out she had charged me a $35 fee for a "deep tissue" massage. I have received deep tissue massages before and I wouldn't have considered what she did to me a basic massage much less deep tissue! I spoke to the manager and she removed the fee and said she would give me 20%. Well, come to find out the spa charges a 20% fee on top of the massage for the front staff. She made sure to clarify that this money was not in lieu of gratuity for the massage therapists. The couples massage I booked was $270. When she applied the 20% discount I still paid over $280 because all the 20% did was take off the 20% additional fee they add to all massages. A fee that NO ONE told me about when I called to book the massage! The manager and front desk lady were nice, but I would NEVER come here again! read more

Husband and I came here for a 90 minute massage on a Thursday. Pleasantly surprised at the price for a resort. They give a 15% discount for weekday bookings, and do not charge extra for the couples suite. The massages were good. I wish we knew they had all the other amenities before hand, like the mineral bath. I had to run upstairs and get swimsuits for us to utilize the sauna, hot tub, and mineral bath for after the massage. read more

Hot stone massage was the best Ive ever had dolled by facial and mani/pedi. All therapists and staff were super friendly and facility extraordinary. I felt as if I was on Vacation all day but so close to home. I'll definitely be back for another retreat! read more

This spa is fabulous!!! I went the first time for a foot massage as I was having issues with my Achilles tendon and was training for a half marathon. Rebecca was my therapist and she did a wonderful job. I next had a full relaxation massage, again with Rebecca, and left feeling relaxed and will be back for more treatments!! The experience was combined with the use of the hot tub and relaxation lounge! The personal at the spa are welcoming and very helpful, too! read more

First time to get a massage. While I have nothing to compare to, the facility were clean, upscale and tranquil. The massage was relaxing and released some of the tension in my back. Pricing seemed a little high...$85 for 50 min therapudic on a weekday plus wanting gratuity. Very good experience. Hubby and I were guests at the hotel. Did a last minute booking for next day spa appointment. We got the Black Friday deal 60min massage for 60$ each couples session.
