    calamari-- massive portion!

This is a really really cool spot, far more trendy than I was expecting in little old Killorglin. The bar is free for walk-ins as was said below, so that's where we ended up. We got some wine and a couple of tapas each. I always feel a bit shorted after tapas, because they're usually half the price of a full meal but you really feel you should be able to pick three or four to make up a decent platter. I went for the chorizo mash and calamari, and both were delicious. The service is a little slow and at the bar there are a good few bar backs and bartenders that wouldn't really look at us, but it was a busy night on the bank holiday so it didn't really concern me. The place gets super hot though, be warned.

Great space! In an old church.

Lovely ambiance in an updated, old stone church. I had a delicious seasonal salad with wonderfully fresh fruit, vegetables and greens. Also split daily special crostini with creamy goat cheese. My husband had hummus and tapenade on fresh bread, he was in heaven.

My favourite spot to visit when we are in Killorglin! Food is always top notch and service excellent. Menu changes regularly and always has interesting specials. Got a table on New Year's Eve last minute and enjoyed another fabulous meal. We ordered a selection of tapas and shared, the cod special with egg sounded so strange but was amazing! Calamari is excellent. Desserts are fab as well. Well priced too. Highly recommended even if it seems odd eating tapas in rural Ireland!

"Sea bass" served with a nice pomegranate mango topping, fried half potatoes and steamed vegetables. Both were good. Murphys beer on tap for those tired of Guinness. Service efficient but not chatty. Ambiance is pretty plain. Nothing special. The music is American country, which is a little odd. Food was the highlight.

We chose the alfresco option. We started with an order of oysters and a a bottle of Little Eden Shariz from eastern Australia. It was was smooth, with a nice nose and a smooth finish. The ostyers were amazing, just wish I could have had my horseradish and Tabasco sauce with them. The sea bass was very good and I really liked the mango pomegranate salsa which is unusual for me as I would normally not even taste such a concoction. The salsa was tasty and paired very well with the sea bass. The side salad was difficult to eat. The cup was small and spillage was inevitable. The service was good with one exception, the bill for dinner was never brought to the table, after waiting for a while, I went in and paid the tab. Prehaps that's a cultural thing. Prices were moderate-high. All in all an enjoyable but it did not rise to the level of five star.

We wandered from place to place with no luck and finally found this cafe which had some patrons sitting outside tucking into breakfast. We were super hungry and while Irish breakfast wasn't an option on the menu, having been up for 2hrs, this place was open and serving and so we found us a table on the outside porch area since it was sunny and we could people watch. There was an option for a build your own breakfast and I asked the server to approximate an Irish breakfast with awesome results! The breakfast which arrived on my plate consisted of: - Two lovely poached eggs, these had deep yellow yolks and tasted so good -1 crunchy toast, split into two -2 sausages which weren't too my taste that much -2 lovely pieces of thick ham, delicious and perfect, not too salty at all -half a fried tomato - amazing medley of fried wild mushrooms, absolutely the best! I also got a glass of freshly squeezed Orange juice to accompany my breakfast. Everything tasted really good and really fresh. All members of my group were happy with their food choices. I would recommend this place and come here again when visiting Cork. Note: #264 of Yelp 100 challenge for 2016
