My daughter & I came into the salon to have our nails fill & design. There was not wait time which was great since we did not have an appointment. Kim did our daughter's nail & man explain the the difference between powder & gel. Kim was nice & it was a small language barrier as well. Also their is a strong chemical smell in the salon as well & I would suggest to get a better ventilation system because having the door open is not enough. Not even 24hrs later; our daughter's nail polish was peeling off. We are shocked & disappointed this happened to her nails & never had this happen before. We were told to come back @ later time to get it fixed & was disappointed they could not accommodate us earlier. This will be the last time we will be returning to this nail salon. read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received. The staff was very friendly however, I went in to get a manicure and was out in like 15 minutes. Not complaining about the time but that shows the amount of details placed on my nails. My cuticles were not pushed back before they were trimmed and the lady said my nails were dried (I chose regular polish) but the minute I went for my seatbelt the polish came undone. I went to this salon today for a pedicure and I asked for a design and I was told I couldn't get one because they were too busy. Never mind that when I walked in there was only one other person and they were sitting around doing nothing. I went to pay for my pedicure and the lady told me that my credit card didn't work. I then gave her my debit card and she told me that didn't work. Not thinking that maybe their machine wasn't working correctly. I will not return to this salon again! So painful. I had three broken acrylics replaced. The nail tech there was nice, but he sawed my natural nail so thin when doing acrylics that I'm in pain and you can see the pink coming through from my skin! He also cut me. It's been a while since I had a nail Tech do this. I didn't get his name, but he was the one guy working there that day. He also did a pointed shape instead of oval, so it didn't match the rest of my nail shapes. read more

I usually just get a classic pedi and sometimes a regular manicure. Last night I treated myself to the VIP spa pedicure and it was absolutely wonderful! I even fell asleep a few times LOL. I highly recommend this place! My manicure and pedicure was beautiful. I even got lash extensions done, they stayed on for 3+ weeks and I received a lot of compliments. The lashes look natural and the process didn't take long at all. Run! (away!) I went in to Sol Nails today (made the appointment yesterday) I've been going there for a year. I went in with the nails on the left, came out with the nails on the right?? Waa, what was Mr Harry thinking? Same guy, "Harry" and he's done my nails the same way every time... Until today! I don't get it, it was like he'd never seen me or done my nails before! I let him "finish" thinking that maybe the white tips were coming, next thing I knew he told me to go wash my hands I was done! I am so angry and frustrated I will never go back here again! I had to wait half an hour for my appointment (that I had previously booked) and then I end up with this mess! AND a brown spot on one nail and he could not explain what it was! If I could give a zero I would. I just had the worse experience at this nail salon . I walked out. The older gentleman doing my pedicure was horrible. I've never dealt with the rudeness I just did in this shop. This guy doing my pedicure was a total ass. When I asked him to do my nails shorter he immediately got an attitude. Started roughly handling my feet and shoving. Then when he wasn't going to cut the dead skin on my toes I said something. He gets pissy and said someone else will have to do it. Then he's yelling in another language. So the lady that takes over is doing just as bad of job. I said don't even paint, I'm going to have to have them done somewhere else. I then said I'm done. I first got acrylics for my wedding in August 2011. I had never had "fake nails" before & wasn't sure how I would like them. The staff was friendly & accommodating & made sure I had all my questions answered before I tried anything. I got a full set with white tips & they looked absolutely fabulous for the wedding. Since then I've tried different looks & different technicians. I've had Cindy, Jimmy, Jordan, and the older gentleman whom I believe to be the owner. No one has let me down. I've had white tips, sparkly tips, gel, hard gel, had them squared, had them rounded, had them short, had them long... they all looked fantastic. Sure it costs a little money to get it done every two weeks, but they're super strong & I love the way my hands look all the time. I would recommend 2007 Nails to anyone in the West Valley looking to be pampered! read more

I waited patiently for 40mins. Another lady just walked in and they immediately seated her to do her nails. I asked how long until they could get me for a manicure...said another 30min wait. Now for the record I'm a black woman and the lady that came in after me was white. Do the math on that one. I'm livid and would never recommend a friend or co worker here. This is the worst service, overall, that I've experienced in all of Surprise. My nail tech, who I later learned was the manager, split his time between my pedicure and another client's pedicure, back and forth. It was awful, and gross. Then he left me for over an hour to work on another client instead of doing my manicure, when I'd already been waiting more than an hour ahead of the other client. Total time for a basic mani and basic pedi was three hours. Manager apologized for skipping me when I asked him about it, but nothing more than a "sorry, my friend." Also, while I was there, I witnessed a man get up out of his pedicure chair and yell for everyone "The service here SUCKS!" before he walked out the door with wet legs. It was quite a scene. I promise this is all true, and I am not even getting into the tech who snapped at me and gave me attitude when I asked for a price list. Avoid this place! One star for nice decor, tho. I thought I would try them, big mistake. Harry did my nails, he seems to be color blind. How do mistake a deep blue glitter color for a purple? I didn't want to argue, with him I just wanted to get out. I will definitely not be returning. He also told me they only carry gel polish and not any non gel polish. Seriously...ok, so I gave in. I had gone in last night for the second time ever and I was very disappointed. The man doing my manicure was very rude and in a hurry to go home. Once he finished my nails he told me to come earlier next time and didn't let me air dry my nails, so as soon as I walked out my nail polish was all wrinkly and messed up. I was upset. I decided to go in this morning and speak to the owners and they were very nice about the situation and had Sonny fix my nails. He was very nice and talkative. They gave me free gel polish. Male nail tech multi tasked myself and another lady. I'm assuming he thought it was a good idea but all he did was split his attention between two people, split the quality between two people, and it took twice as long just to get the work done. The pedis are down by older ladies who I'm not entirely sure are certified. I stopped getting pedis here. This is the 4th time I've came to this location and price hasn't been consistent. I'd appreciate if they let me know what additional fees will be charged before they do anything additional. It says dip cost $35, when I went to pay she said $40 because we had to remove the prior work. Then again I went and got my nails done and it end up being $45 I asked if prices went up and he said no we charge to shape your nail an extra $5. Another unknown fee! Isn't shaping the nail part of the dip service. I never mind tipping but the service provided and the way you do business is what I appreciate and will spend my money on. read more

I went to Sol Nails and Spa on Sunday, September 22nd. I was a walk in. I had my nails dipped in powder and a Deluxe Pedicure. The pedicure in my book wasn't very good for $38. My frustration was the dipping powder. So this is Sunday. I fly to Chicago for my daughter's wedding on Tuesday. Tuesday evening, one of the nails cracked. By Thursday 3 more nails cracked. I was mortified and angry. I called this nail place and told them about what happened and that I was in Chicago. My question to the person on the phone was, I thought the dipping powder was stronger and would last. So I had to find a place in Chicago and had to have a brand new set redone. Sol charged $70-. A waste of good money. Will not go back. read more

Sue did my pedicure yesterday. She cut/trimmed the sides of my big toe nails as well as making them shorter. Since the sides are adhered to healthy skin, she ripped the nail off of the skin, making me bleed. I said "ouch" and she apologized and just kept working. No antiseptic or anything. Well, today that part of my toe is red, swollen and painful. I went back in to show Sue what is happening so she knows she did real damage. She had the nerve to tell me that my toe nail caused the injury, not her. I had also received a pedicure from the older gentleman in the past, and he cut me as well. My one time getting an acrylic set was so horrible I went to a different nail salon for my fills. I would not recommend this establishment for any of their services, and I will not give them any more chances. read more
