Great place to eat on the lake. The courtyard overlooks the golf course and the lake. Better than expected bar food with some quite nice dishes to choose from. Things like shrimp and grits, a pesto crusted Salmon, beef tips, or bacon wrapped steak medallions.... also a great selection of burgers. This is a lakeside place that also attracts a lot of golfers and folks out for a good meal on the golf course. They have a bar. Make a reservation, It can get crowded. One of our favorite lake places. read more

We stopped there this past Friday evening for dinner - I got a burger and fries, my wife got a steak salad- my burger and fries were extremely salty and burger very well done - wife's steak on her salad was like shoe leather and lettuce was chopped up like for a taco- positive review for staff, very friendly and attentive VERY DISAPPOINTED with the food For the price of our bill read more

Definitely take a jacket in this establishment because they keep it very cold.. But overall, good experience. My favorite part was the sweet potato fries. So fresh and delicious! The chicken Caesar wrap was a little on the dry side, and I would have preferred less croutons, but it wasn't horrible. Pretty decent service as well! I would surely go back to try something different on the menu. read more

Solé On the Green - Chicken Caesar Wrap & Sweet Potato Fries - Southern Near Me - Clemson, South Carolina

Went there yesterday (Saturday afternoon) and it was excellent. We had a large group and the manager and waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. They added extra tables to accommodate our group. Even with the large group, the service was fast and efficient. The views were also great of the lake and they had the World Cup on the TVs. Great experience there and we will definitely be back. read more

Great food and location. Was there at night so could t see the golf course. Waitress was very friendly and attentive.

We usually love Sole' on the Green but lately a lot of construction has been going on just around it and parking has been difficult. But the restaurant overlooks Lake Hartwell near the Clemson campus and the view is beautiful. read more

Great location with awesome lake views. Service was top notch. Food was ok but the service and view made up for the average food in our mind

Really disappointed by this experience especially given we are members of the club. We arrived at 7pm and were immediately seated outside. We waited over 20 minutes and no one so much as approached us despite 5 separate servers walking by. We asked two separate staff to please get our server, one of which told us it wasn't his job and the other clearly didn't escalate as we still were not helped. We ultimately ended up leaving. Really disappointing and also frustrating as we came with our newborn who is on a strict feeding schedule which led to us having to completely alter our plans due to lost time. read more

the main attraction is the view, because it's definitely not making it because of the food

Nice place on the lake. If you come by boat be aware that there are big rocks right at the slip. No marking, I have a pontoon and I damaged my prop severely. read more

Went there for graduation. Food was decent (nothing to write home about, Spinach dip is weird) but they had a very limited menu which they didn't mention when we made reservations, but happily took our $100 non refundable deposit. Service was great. read more

Thanks for the compassion, Soleil. We just found out that our graduate has COVID and is going miss graduation. Being responsible, frequent customers and not showing up to dinner with COVID, we attempted to cancel our reservation only to find out the $100 deposit is non-refundable. Enjoy your $100. It's the last $$$ I'll spend at your establishment. read more

This is a favorite of my friends and family. The food is excellent and always fresh. The service has been outstanding, with friendly and personable waitstaff. We enjoy eating on the patio in spring, summer and fall which overlooks the lake. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Solé On the Green - Signature drinks - Southern Near Me - Clemson, South Carolina

We had a reservation for 12. They assured Is on the phone that we would all be sitting together. When we arrived we had to sit at TWO different tables. We ordered drinks and it took about 15 minutes for them to arrive. When I pulled the celery from by Bloody Mary there dirt all over the stalk. I let the waitress know and she insisted that they bring me another drink. Again dirty celery. Not as bad but still not clean. Another person in the party ordered the crab cakes with the Hollandaise sauce. There was large hair on the egg. Slow service and dirty food. read more

Great place! Food is good and quick, pretty views around the area. Service was great!

5 star alert! One of the best burgers I have ever had. Probably the best burger ever and I've had a lot of burgers in Houston and over the USA as well. Good: the blend is beef pork and bacon! The meat is so good and full of flavor. They must use high quality meat because I don't feel all sluggish and sick after. Full of flavor. If you are a fan of burgers this is the place to stop! Hidden gem! So juicy and good. Cooked to perfection the bun is good as well. Also the fries look like they are peeled cut and then fired. This is good ole down south southern good food. Also I had the Creme brûlée which was really good as well. Zoe and the crew are extremely nice. I got in right before closing yesterday after a long day and they still served me. Great people and great good. If you are in the area I highly recommend that you check them out. You will not be disappointed read more

What a lovely afternoon spent lakeside outdoors at Sole on the Green. Great and friendly service, excellent food. Nice to be back to real glassware, etc. - makes the meal so much better, but understand there was a staff shortage not too long ago. Can't wait to come back. Don't forget - $7 Tacos after 3pm on Tuesdays (not the Baja Fish Tacos). And speaking of tacos, the Baja Fish Tacos took me back 30 years to my days of San Diego and the beach - they were spot on! Their pork belly is so darn good - excellent on the sandwich, as well as the taco. That taco had a tad too much going on for me, but our friend enjoyed it. The leftover pork belly made it onto a flatbread pizza I made the next day. I wish I could get a pound of that to go!! read more

Don't make reservations and be responsible and courteous to cancel due to Covid diagnosis. They will charge you a $100 deposit with absolutely ZERO compassion! They lost customers that frequently eat there monthly. Lost $1000 annually over a $100 deposit. Hope they enjoy the $100. read more

Solé on the Green - where to start. Firstly, our introduction to the threshold of the eatery was a high school prom. Walking through the sea of trailing dresses and teenage stench was quite a way to initiate the date night. Inside, we found a plethora of elderly sports enthusiasts gathered around mildly sticky bar tables arranged to appear fancy. Our personal favorite decoration were the six identical shiny orange panels on the wall. We both ordered cocktails and were both appeased: one was refreshing and citrusy, while the other had notes of raspberry and left a tart taste in my mouth. The staff were incredibly attentive and informed, with inspiring recommendations. The mid-rare steak retained its flavor and was just as good in the air fryer the next morning. One final addendum: compliments to the creator of the sautéed-veggie-noodle side. The expert staff and comforting food are what would bring us back. read more

Food was okay -- pretty bland. The service was bad though. Our food took forever to come out. At least three tables that arrived after us got their food before we did. read more

As a Clemson student, I come to solé on the green quite frequently and have always enjoyed it. The atmosphere and view are awesome and the staff has always been friendly. The food is very good, and the menu has lots of options to choose from, both on the food and drink side. They also have a Taco tuesday speciality with $3 margaritas and cheap tacos, you can't beat that! Always looking forward to my next trip to Solé!! read more

Excellent food and awesome cocktails! I highly recommend them ... excellent service too!

I was looking for a new place for Sunday lunch. I found Sole On The Green on Yelp, got a reservation and went after church. My hamburger was delicious! My husband is a taco enthusiast so he ate the Street Tacos. He said the tacos were really good but needed a different sauce, the Cajun spices didn't really go with tacos. He said the steak in the tacos were pure perfection and would definitely eat the tacos again. All in all it was a wonderful Sunday lunch. We will definitely be going back! read more

visited some friends for the weekend and they took us to sole for brunch! we were seated right away and had a beautiful view of the water! we all ordered mimosas and they were amazing! the food was delicious and the sever/kitchen staff was accomodating when i asked to have my melt on a biscuit instead and added pimento cheese :) (highly recommend) i felt as if the restaraunt was taking our safety very seriously! all drinks were served in plastic cups and pre-packaged cutlery was provided to eat with in order to decrease risk of spread. tables were all spread far apart and all servers had masks on! if you want to experience the dining experience again, this place is doing it right! read more

I need to add more props to the team at SOTG...because we'd enjoyed the food & outdoor patio so much, we reserved the area for our small wedding rehearsal dinner a few weeks ago. Because it's 2020, of course there was a downed power line that prevented half our party (including me, the bride) from getting there. They were so gracious and kind, even keeping the kitchen open a little later so we could have something to eat once we were finally able to get there two hours later. I understand from my husband & his half of the party that the view that night was absolutely perfect. read more

Good food option with prices to match. Ordered the cheesy crab and Spanish pasta and was very satisfied. Ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes and chicken fingers as well and are great options as well. For desert, the chocolate cake was very rich and satisfying. Definitely recommend. Food 5/5 Restaurant offers plenty of seating options and service is adequate. Best feature is that if you are a student they accept paw points being that they are on campus. Location is attractive as well being near the golf course and water feature. A bar is also available. Restaurant 5/5 read more

We were there with a large party - 12, our server seemed overwhelmed as she had too many tables assigned to her. We ordered drinks , appetizers, dinner and dessert and nothing stood out except the fried pickles and spinach dip. It's convenient if you are staying at the Inn but definitely not worth the drive. read more

Got the grilled chicken and vegetables and it was great! My friend enjoyed his entree as well. Also got fried pickles for appetizer, which were among the best I've ever had. Was recommended this place but disappointed. Everything we had was very subpar. Very expensive too. Great service, but the prices do not match the quality of the food. We had three courses and they were all honestly bad. Even their queso was gross. So sorry! read more

Pretty good, small menu at this location, we LOVE Solé in seneca the sushi is amazing. This venue doesn't serve sushi unfortunately. My husband got the black and blue burger is was good as usual, I got a cheese and crab pasta can't remember the name but it was super good just not a lot of crab. The desserts other people ordered looked amazing but we were too full to try. We also got the grit fritters I think they were called, they were very good. read more

I could have very easily cooked the food my parents and I received at my house for less of a price and higher quality. The fish was dry and the chicken was over cooked though the service was excellent. The ambiance was great considering it's next to a lake. The food killed my experience though. read more

Wonderful spinach dip appetizer with the steak salad was very flavorful in a lovely lakeside location.

I just had one of the worst meals for lunch I've ever had. I ordered a pulled pork bbq sandwich, and most of it was either fatty or so overcooked and tough I couldn't chew it. I left easily half of it on my plate. The fried okra tasted like they used old grease, and the coleslaw was very bland. I told the server, but she did not acknowledge it in any way. Not even an apology. Someone else in my group ordered the same thing and told the server hers was terrible also and suggested they need a new chef. I'm very disappointed because the outdoor seating is great and every time I've gone for taco Tuesday I enjoyed it. That's why I'm not giving one star. I will not go back on my own again unless it's for tacos. read more
