I tried Sokolata a few weeks after they opened. I purchased 1 item. A small cream tart with 4 pieces of fruit cost almost $8.00. Didn't care for the tastes. Taste was more frozen than fresh. Decided to give it another try today. I bought 2 eclairs and a piece of cake. Cost was a little better at $14.00 for 3 pieces. Again it tasted frozen. I will not be trying it a 3rd time. read more

I highly recommend this place if you want REALLY yummy food. I have been twice in the last month and both times the food was delicious and service excellent! The first time I had the Famous Gyro and the hummus with pita bread. Both very tasty! The second time I had the veggie pita and baklava. Again soooooo yummy! I really wanted to love it! I've had traditional French pastry and Italian pastry many many times and that's not what I got in my visit here. I ordered the sokolata tart and all I can say is it's extremely heavy there's no Custard in the tart it's full of very rich fatty and sweet filling nothing delicate here. Between the heaviness of the pastry in the heat I felt a little sick from the first bite. I wanted to give them a great review and visit frequently....it's a hard pass. I was very excited to try the new location once it opened for we had visited them at their previous location nearby in hopes of a better dining experience which we were already happy with. Walking in the new location was very pleased with the décor and layout of the restaurant. We were seated quickly and after a few minutes given our drinks. After about a few drinks of the sweet tea, peaking into the drink cause of a peculiar flavor I realize that there is a Large amount of tea grains in this cup, For non-tea drinkers that don't know THERE should be NONE in tea it's the whole reason you filter it. Around 40 to 45 mins after ordering our small orders, In a Empty Restaurant ,of Lemon rice soup and Chicken Gyro, we get our order. The food looked spectacular and it was good but the Wait without any option of appetizers like salad or bread just led to visit being not great but when I went to pay for the food the total should've been 20 some dollars but the Women at the register doubled it to 40 Dollars and only noticed after I swiped my card. I bring it to Her attention that the amount I have been charged is incorrect and that I would like it fixed She then grabbed another staff member to help her and He walked over looked at the screen tapped on it a couple times then told me that it should refund sometime soon..... The next day I arrive and Talk directly with the Owner who told me that because it was on a weekend that they wont be able to Refund My card till the next business day which would've been the next day.... We love the gelato, but our most recent experience was very disappointing. We ordered a medium and large chocolate/espresso in the drive thru. When the cups were given to us they looked almost half eaten they were so empty. The amount of chocolate in the medium was barely a spoonful. We paid $12 for the two gelatos and were handed an iPad to leave a tip and sign. We couldn't even go to the next screen to submit without adding a tip. I was totally blown away by this bakery!! When I went it it totally reminded me of the beautiful bakeries in Paris. The desserts in the case looked like works of Art.
