Hostess is not efficient at all about seating even when we told her it's okay if we split our group into two tables as long as the tables were close together. Service is so bad and I felt bad having to keep calling them over. I ask for one thing and they leave right away when I was trying to tell them THREE things we needed (napkin, plates, utensils, water refills) so that way they don't have to keep coming back. But how can I help the servers if they leave before I'm done speaking?? we can't even eat without those things. Food is just okay. We got the seafood pancake with like 4 pieces of seafood for $14. The tteokbokki had like 6 pieces for like $10. Not worth it!! Even when the bill came out, we asked to put both tables into one check but they gave both our tables 4 checks each??? Like what? I can't wait to come back and do Karaoke! My friend and I were randomly around the area Sunday night, and we decided to give it a try. It wasn't packed, service was very prompt. Our bartender was very attentive, and funny. We decided to do the soju shots flights, we did 3 rounds of them... so we practically tried all the flavors my favorites were yogurt, strawberry, green apple and lyche. We decided to do the soju flights for $5.99 I mean that's super good, and you get to try different flavors! After we got the $15 yogurt bottle we got around 8 shots I believe. We also got a strawberry soju bottle which I loved the taste. I truly enjoyed the yogurt soju, and the strawberry soju. The food looked amazing, I will be definitely be back for the food as well. The music was really good you got a little bit of everything KPop, reguetton, pop, and top 40s. The bathrooms were very clean an extra plus! I was super excited for a new karaoke place in Houston/Katy and I was no disappointed! The karaoke set up as the Korean karaoke places in Dallas however there are only 3 karaoke rooms. Our waiter/bartender Caris was very helpful and attentive even though he was very busy with other patrons too! We had a wonderful time and I will definitely be back! I stumbled across this place late at night with some friends and family in which they came here before, and I haven't. This place is fairly new located in Katy area of Houston. I love how this place opens late and still serve amazing food and alcohol. I had attached some photos but the photos don't do any justice. This place is a good place to hang with your friends and grab a drink or sing karaoke. They have 3 karaoke rooms for all the people that wants to have fun and sing. They have happy hour specials after 9pm everyday. This place have a good variety of alcohol too choose from. The have beer,Soju, mixed drinks, Korean wine and shots. The price of food are a little expensive on most dishes but the portions are decent size. The waiter is friendly and nice. My friend was allergic to peanuts and he made sure the food he wanted wasn't cooked in peanut oil. read more

We called ahead and reserved a table for a large party. The woman on the phone was helpful and was one of the servers. The table was ready, no one was there but it was a Tuesday! Stopped here randomly last night (Sunday 9/1). I got a couple bottles of Kirin Ichiban and the Ramen. First off, the place is super cute! I love that they play KPop music videos. (I'm a HUGE Black Pink fan) I had the Ramen as my entree. At first site it looks super basic but OMG the flavor was AMAZING! For a Ramen that didnt have any meat in it, it was literally one of the best ramen I have had since I moved to Houston! It had a great flavor with the perfect level of spice. My group of friends and I have tried twice to get reservations here. We've made them long before 24 hours in advance and have gotten them confirmed, only for them to be cancelled later on both times. This is a great place to hangout with friends! The food dishes are all so great for sharing and I would consider them like snacks that you can munch on as you are hanging out. It almost feels like you're on a Korean drama or just drinking the nights away while sobering up on snacks. They do have happy hour as well! One down side is that the karaoke room set up was a bit difficult. The keyboard is not in English and it wasn't very user friendly. I would highly designate the DD to be in charge of the karaoke playlist because it was so confusing. Also, we had no clue how to set up the queue of songs, which made it super frustrating. read more

The competition in the Katy Asian market is fierce. There are so many very good restaurants there, but Soju 101 is able to stand up with the best of them. I got some take away on the way home from some errands. I called ahead and my order was hot and ready at the agreed time. I got the Takoyaki (octopus balls) and Smoked Bossam(pork belly). The perfectly cooked and rendered pork had condiments of raw onion, jalapeños, and garlic, which went well with the pork. Also three dipping sauces that I dont have a clue what they were but tasted great with the pork. This was my first time with Takoyaki, so i cant tell you if it was authentic, but I enjoyed it. THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM! I found this place through Yelp, was looking for some food late night when my go to taco truck was closed. After searching, I saw this place was still open at 1:02AM and called to ensure they were open. They took my to-go order over the phone. I arrived at 1:20AM and my food was still being prepared. By the time I used the restroom, washed my hands, and returned my food was out. The place is very clean. The staff is very friendly. FOOD 1. ORDER THE BULGOGI QUESADILLAS!! Such an amazing fusion concept that works. And tastes AMAZING! I literally ordered based off the pictures. 5/5 stars 2. GALBI (KOREAN SHORT RIBS) IS ANOTHER FAV! Sooooooo well seasoned, juicy (not dry) and the perfect amount of meat with marbled fat interspersed throughout. Are you drooling yet? 5/5 stars 3. SPICY KOREAN CHICKEN WINGS Excellent! 10 big, juicy wings, and the sauce is very flavorful, and NO my chicken wasn't undercooked as mentioned in some other reviews. I do have my eye on trying the Garlic Soy chicken and the Korean BBQ flavors next time. You can't split flavors with the 10 piece chicken wings by the way. 5/5 stars 4. MANDU (Korean fried dumpling) MEH! Where this fell short, imo, I didn't care for the filling. It was too much seaweed. 3/5 stars 5. CORN CHEESE It's corn cheese. Enough said! They do it superbly! I was almost fooled that i was eating a mac and cheese casserole the way the cheese melted perfectly atop the corn. 5/5 stars WORD OF ADVICE: The bathroom is clean but smells like reused grease (I don't think they have good ventilation in there, possibly also because it is located right next to the kitchen) so if you don't want to smell like hot cooking oil, I wouldn't suggest using it. BOTTOM LINE: I'd support this place again, dare I say it, it could replace my taco food truck (at least on weekdays when it closes early). If you've never had soju I would compare it to smoother vodka! For food we ordered the K-Pop Fries, Parmesan Garlic Wings, & Buldaezel (super spicy pork). The spicy pork wasn't spicy it was amazing! However, our recent attempt at reserving a room was far from anything positive. We made a reservation booking a room for the evening a day prior. However, upon calling again to confirm the reservation, the staff on the other end informed us that no reservation was made, and that *they* usually call to confirm from their end. We've reserved many times before but have never received a confirmation call in the past. We were a little confused to hear about 1) this sudden new procedure and 2) how our reservation decided to disappear into the ether. read more

The staff acts like they hate their lives and the customers, anytime you ask them a simple question they give so much attitude and act like you're inconveniencing them. One of the girls pretends she's never spoken to you when she literally is the only one who answers the phone for reservations. 3. The reservations. You can make 1 a YEAR in advance and they always tell me "oh well someone made one before you so we can only give you 1 hour" this happened twice, they also lie. They say the manager will call you and they don't, they once argued with me and told me they called me to confirm and I just never answered but my phone NEVER had a missed call from them. This place has gone SERIOUSLY down hill. When my fiends and I come we spend a MINIMUM of $300 each time, we will never be back. From now on we'll go to Sing just around the corner. read more

Went with my daughter & husband & 2 kids to celebrate early birthday for her. They both love Korean bulgogi (sp). It was around 2 or 2:30 Saturday afternoon. Walked in no one there at all, we called out Hello! Hello! So we sat down at one of the tables, Finally a lady came out from the back with a tray of food ( guessing) and went into another room occupied by someone. Awesome service. The reservation process was easy, the facility is neat. They do temperature checks, there's a lot of sanitizing areas and they provide mic covers. There's really no need to mingle outside the karaoke room, their service is on point. The best part was the food and alcohol were good and all reasonably priced!
