The food here is alright but they do give you a lot of it so it is a pretty good value. Good spot to drink a ton of soju and have fun chats with friends. We tried the Kimchi Pajeon, the K-pop Fries, and the Chili Cream Chicken which I all thought were just okay. Maybe I enjoyed the K-pop fries a bit more because I liked the fries and kimchi together.
The food was okay. The service was okay. The ambiance was okay. This is not a place that would be my first pick. This is the place you go to where you're hungry late at night and there's not much else open and you don't want to drive to downtown. The music is too loud and you cannot hear the person sitting across from you in the booths. It took forever for us to sit down, I believe it was a Thursday night. I don't want to blame the servers because of the understaffing but they were definitely understaffed the night we went. Usually I appreciate places that have a bell versus a server regularly checking up on you(introvert here.) But I had to ring the bell 3 to 4 times to just get a glance from the servers. I hate asking for things repeatedly but there wasn't much of a choice. If you didn't incessantly ring the bell we wouldn't get attention. I ordered a beef bulgogi quesadilla, my friend ordered Spicy Wings, mozzarella sticks, tteokbokki, and japchae. Out of all the food, the japchae was the best. But they all got their orders and I patiently waited. 15 minutes passes, nothing. So I unfortunately tried to get the attention of the server, which took another 10 minutes, and I asked about my order. He asks the kitchen and they missed my order. I had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes. At one point I was debating to cancel the order. I had to ask again, and right as he walked away to check, another girl finally brought my quesadilla. We were all finished with our food, ready for the checks so we could finally leave. We rang the bell, 5 minutes passes, nothing. Rang it again, 5 minutes passes, still nothing. I tried to give grace, so we waited another 10 minutes to see if they would come to our table. Nothing. So my friend finally presses it repeatedly and the guy finally comes, apologizes, and gives us our checks and to go boxes. He was nice and apologetic, and told us there was a rush that night with only 2-3 servers working. While I understand that, the frustration, the orders getting mixed and whatnot, this was the first time for 2 of my friends there and it was probably the worst experience I've ever had of this place(not my first time.) I would not come here again.
Food was decent service was pretty bad. We Rang the bell multiple times but no one came until we had to physically get them. The ambiance is nice but if the service was better it would've been better.
I ordered a jjapaguri (noodles) and a dosirak (rice with sides) from here for delivery. The jjapaguri was odd tasting to say the least. It's pretty difficult to mess up as you combine jjapageti and nuguri (two different kinds of Korean ramen) and even if you don't know how to properly mix the ratios, it should come out fine. Not the case here. It was very bland and tasted watered down but also very dry. The dosirak rice when bitten into immediately had a slight taste/smell of Fabuloso. Not good. Kimchi was not that tasty and spam was dry. The egg was surprisingly well cooked though. Overall, I don't know if I would order from here again.
The place was a little empty during lunch. I think more people go at night since they have karaoke rooms and a big bar. I had bulgogi it tasted good but a lot of meat pieces had a lot of fat. To drink I had a beer, you can't never go wrong with a beer. The menu has a lot of varieties. I would like to go back and try other dishes. Service was quick and good. The restrooms need a lot of work. They are not taken care of. No toilet paper, dirty and the soap dispenser was broken.
This place has a fun vibe and our service was pretty good but the food was really not good. Food gets a 2/5. I ordered the following: 101 wings: meat was dry, exterior was soggy, and the wings had no flavor whatsoever even though they were doused in what appeared to be some gochujang sauce. Army stew: this was so bland and just spicy. It didn't have the sourness that army stew should have so I feel like they used little kimchi and mainly used gochugaru and jalapeños. There was also tiny piece of spam and sausage. It was just so meh. Chapaghetti: this was honestly the best dish but it was just instant ramen noodles with the sauce that comes with it and some meat added in.
I came in with a group to eat dinner with a group and sat at 2 different tables back to back. My table ordered first, and I pointed to the photos of the items we wanted to order. The waitress who took our order acknowledged everything as she wrote it down before I moved to the next photo item. Here are a few things that could have been better: 1. The steamed egg did not come out looking like the photo. We kindly asked the waitress to take it back, but there was some initial resistance from her. 2. We asked about the status of an item (beef intestine) and were met with an attitude from the waitress. She stated we never ordered it, but two of us at the table pointed at the photo when ordering. This was where her customer service would give the business 1 star because instead of taking any accountability or kindly apologizing for forgetting (it happens), she got frustrated with us and argued that we never ordered it. 3. Corn cheese was the first item we ordered, and it never came out until we asked another server. His response was a lot better than the waitress's and he handled the request politely. 4. We also placed an order for chicken wings, which didn't arrive at our table. I'm going to assume it was combined with the other table, but we already told the waitress we have 2 separate tabs. 5. We asked for a side of kimchi and the waitress gave us a bowl of kimchi that also had rice grains inside... so it was either a used bowl from another table or it was never cleaned. That was kind of fowl.. 6. To wrap it all up, the AC was broken, so it was also really hot inside. This isn't the first time I've been here and honestly, I didn't like it the last time but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Customer service is everything, especially when there is conflict, there are always better ways to resolve it without attitudes.
Emptier than I would expect on a Friday night, which was good because no wait, but disappointing because this place should be packed. Delicious food on a huge menu at a decent price. The takoyaki was so hot that when I bit into it, the molten interior cooked the roof of my mouth enough the peel the skin AND I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS THAT DELICIOUS. This food was so fresh and delicious that I immediately planned ehat I would get upon returning. That menu is do enormous, you will have a hard time deciding what to get. Every dish killed. The spicy gobchan gui gui was incredible. I expected my teen daughter to be suspicious but one bit and she told me it was amazing. Houston, please show up. I loved Soju101.
chill place to hang out, eat and drink late. typical Korean comfort food flavors, variety of sojo (obviously) and other drinks. probably reasonably kid friendly during the day. it's closer to a bar at night and obviously a bat late night. lots of parking but can get busy with all the other restaurants
SN17. Odentang Came back to try the odentang. A very hot, straming, large bowl of soup. Tastes so homey on a cold day. The soup was flavorful and delicious, kind of salty but overall delicious. Tastes really good with rice!

I can't wait to come back and do Karaoke! My friend and I were randomly around the area Sunday night, and we decided to give it a try. It wasn't packed, service was very prompt. Our bartender was very attentive, and funny. We decided to do the soju shots flights, we did 3 rounds of them... so we practically tried all the flavors my favorites were yogurt, strawberry, green apple and lyche. We decided to do the soju flights for $5.99 I mean that's super good, and you get to try different flavors! After we got the $15 yogurt bottle we got around 8 shots I believe. We also got a strawberry soju bottle which I loved the taste. I truly enjoyed the yogurt soju, and the strawberry soju. The food looked amazing, I will be definitely be back for the food as well. The music was really good you got a little bit of everything KPop, reguetton, pop, and top 40s. The bathrooms were very clean an extra plus! I will be definitely be back and I'm so happy we have soju 101 in Katy! read more

I was super excited for a new karaoke place in Houston/Katy and I was no disappointed! The karaoke set up as the Korean karaoke places in Dallas however there are only 3 karaoke rooms. Our waiter/bartender Caris was very helpful and attentive even though he was very busy with other patrons too! We had a wonderful time and I will definitely be back! Must recommend for everyone to try the Korean cocaine shot. It's an experience Overall 10/10 would recommend! read more

I stumbled across this place late at night with some friends and family in which they came here before, and I haven't. This place is fairly new located in Katy area of Houston. I love how this place opens late and still serve amazing food and alcohol. I had attached some photos but the photos don't do any justice. We had the ramen, cheesy corn, rice cake, dumplings, spam & eggs, and garlic wings.. and omg heaven! I love the wings here with some rice it taste so fresh and flavorful. Everything here was good, the food, the service, and the atmosphere; it's definitely a good place to hang out with some friends or your significant other for some quality time! read more

This place is a good place to hang with your friends and grab a drink or sing karaoke. They have 3 karaoke rooms for all the people that wants to have fun and sing. They have happy hour specials after 9pm everyday. This place have a good variety of alcohol too choose from. The have beer,Soju, mixed drinks, Korean wine and shots. The price of food are a little expensive on most dishes but the portions are decent size. The waiter is friendly and nice. My friend was allergic to peanuts and he made sure the food he wanted wasn't cooked in peanut oil. read more

Had to stop by to check out what the hype was all about. We had the below: Corn cheese - nothing special, tastes like can corn with cheese Garlic Soy Chicken Wings - delicious, crunchy and moist Smoked pork belly - perfectly cooked, so tender and moist, great to dip with the provided sauces Bapocky - spicy but good as well We also had the lychee soju. We will be back to try the other food items. Prices are a bit high but portions are bigger than normal. read more

Stopped here randomly last night (Sunday 9/1). I got a couple bottles of Kirin Ichiban and the Ramen. First off, the place is super cute! I love that they play KPop music videos. (I'm a HUGE Black Pink fan) I had the Ramen as my entree. At first site it looks super basic but OMG the flavor was AMAZING! For a Ramen that didnt have any meat in it, it was literally one of the best ramen I have had since I moved to Houston! It had a great flavor with the perfect level of spice. My photo does it no justice at all! Con: I'm not a math person and the wifi password was the solution to a super long math problem so I didn't even try I can't wait to go back! read more

DO NOT COME HERE service was terrible only two employees were running the whole floor, bussing tables, taking orders, phone calls. Etc. It's their fault for not telling us from the start that they were short staffed and only had ONE KITCHEN WORKER. We waited for an hour for our food not even the appetizers came out. Food was overpriced for what it's worth, didn't even give us a discount for the lack of service and for waiting for our food. Never coming back here again. There's definitely better restaurants in the plaza than this. read more

This place was recommended by a friend, so I decided to give it a try and OMG! It was the best decision ever. The atmosphere was great and it gave me so many K Drama vibes! I was in a happy place for sure. To begin we ordered a round of flavored soju shots. We had green apple, passion fruit, guava, & watermelon. 100% recommend the passion fruit one. If you've never had soju I would compare it to smoother vodka! For food we ordered the K-Pop Fries, Parmesan Garlic Wings, & Buldaezel (super spicy pork). The spicy pork wasn't spicy it was amazing! The wings were a bit too soggy for my liking but had great flavor! The K-Pop fries are my fav I could eat that any day, every day! Next time I will go with a larger group so that we try Karaoke. *sorry for the blurry pics, I took videos* read more

I placed a late night order of soy garlic wings and calamari to go. When we arrived home the wings looked delicious, not too mich sauce and appeared to be crunchy. When we bit into them they weren't cooked all the way, the inside was red amd such a disappointment. The calamari was lighty breaded and had a tasty dipping sauce, put they needed salt. I will not return. read more

Service & atmosphere was great. They have late hours compared to most places, which are also nice when you want to grab a bite after 11pm it's hard to find things open. Overall we tried many different things on the menu some were delicious and some were interesting . Pictured are just two of them. I'd def suggest the first picture I believe it's fried dumplings. read more

An ok place for Korean, given there are few options in Katy, TX. We ordered the bulgogi and tofu/pork spicy soup. Did not seem truly authentic (what they lacked in authenticity they made up in spice); food hat lots of heat but but not super flavorful. Missed the traditional meal with all the side dishes: we had to ask for kimchi and it was just so-so. Not bad if you are craving Korean and are willing to settle for average. read more

Only went there for takeout so this is a good review. The food was okay not bad but maybe didn't hit the spot as much. The bulgogi was more sweet than I would like and tuckpocky was fine but the sauce was slightly powdery. Overall not bad but probs more cater for the experience there than the food read more

The cheese was really good. Tator tots were nice and crispy. But their chicken was to dry. Was really overcooked. The ambiance here was nice though. Pretty cheap food too. Definitely in the budget read more

Bulgogi Quesadillas took 45 mins to come out only after we asked to have anything sent out because we were hungry. Waiter was very apologetic but quesadillas hardly had any meat and cheese. We were one of three tables in the restaurant. One of which already had food. Very hungry unhappy as we wait for the rest. read more

Awesome service. The reservation process was easy, the facility is neat. They do temperature checks, there's a lot of sanitizing areas and they provide mic covers. There's really no need to mingle outside the karaoke room, their service is on point. The best part was the food and alcohol were good and all reasonably priced! All of my friends who saw my stories were asking about the location! Would definitely come back. This is soooo much better than other karaoke bars out there. read more
