The Soil Association is a national organisation but its headquarters is in Bristol - right at the end of the M32 before the Sir James Barton underpass. It is one of those worthy organisations which really does have the power to make the difference, particularly in the West Country. They are however, probably best known for the big Soil Association Organic Food Fair which takes place in Bristol every year. The harbourside and Millennium square are filled with the most scrumptious food and drink for you to try and buy and none of this would be possible if it was not for the Soil Association. You may also recognise their symbol as it appears on a lot of food packaging nowadays. read more
