While gel x tips were used, they were glued on with regular nail glue. Brush on gel was used as an overlay instead of the normal hard gel. Yes I should have said something, but we all know how awkward that can be. The nails looked acceptable at the time. The price on their menu posted on the wall for a gel set was $55 or $65, I can't remember exactly. But at the end of my service I was charged $95. I did get cat eye polish, which I know can be an up charge, but that much more? Insanity. My nails lifted and started popping off a week later. Which is insane to me. I usually go three weeks inbetween fills for gel x sets. I'm going there on Monday to try and get a refund of some sorts. Will adjust this review accordingly.

I live in Florida and have had trouble finding a nail salon there so I get my nails done in NY when I come to visit. Within 2 days the top coat began to crack so I went back to have them re done. They were very accommodating when I went back and kindly filed down and re-did the top coat on all of my nails. It's now 1 week later and I'm dealing with all of the nails losing their top coat (see pics) I won't go back. Two chances to make it right and I'm very dissatisfied. To be honest, I would rather drive 45 minutes each way and go to CeeCee nail spa in Hicksville. They do a stellar job there.

I got there right after opening. It's a big and open salon and it's very clean. I was taken right away. From the moment I sat in the chair I was very comfortable! I decided to treat myself to a spa pedicure instead of a regular one. After looking over their spa options, I went with a cucumber pedicure. The smell of cucumber was relaxing and fresh. The nail tech that did my pedicure was wonderful. Continued to ask if the water temperature was okay and even asked if I liked the color on my toenails after she applied it to one toe. They are open until 7pm M-F so that works out great with my schedule, going straight there after work! Saturday and Sundays are always very busy so appointments are recommended! Lucy always does my manicures and pedicures although there were times she either wasn't there or working on someone else and I used another technician! I have never left with my nails looking anything short of perfect! I always used to get the gel manicures until one day I saw a customer getting a powder manicure. I tried the powder and I've been hooked since! I will never get any other type of manicure. Since I made the switch, my nails have become much stronger, no chipping and my nails always look like I just walked out of the salon, even 3 weeks after getting them done! The salon is very clean, everyone who works there are always so friendly and it's the most relaxing way to end my day! I have to mention the 10 or 20 minute massage they offer while your old polish, wrapped in tin foil, is ready to be taken off. A dollar for every minute so the $10 dollars I pay for the massage is so well worth it! I have taken advantage of the spa pedicures they offer in addition to the standard pedicures! There are too many to list but the milk and honey and the lavender spa pedicures are the ones I usually getl!! Pampered is pretty much what you receive, for any of their services, so treat yourself and walk out feeling absolutely fantastic!!

I went on a Saturday morning for a pedicure and was still able to get seated quickly because they have a lot of staff working. The salon was very clean, and I really appreciated how careful they were about sanitation and protecting clients from infections. The technician did an excellent job on my pedicure. She was very thorough and professional. This is hands-down my new go-to spot for pedicures. I didn't try getting my nails done this time, but maybe next visit!

Another technician came and started my manicure. She was moving so fast and haphazardly, and kept telling me to "relax" my hands. I was tense because I was sure she was going to nick the side of my cuticle. She was pulling/cutting my cuticles so hard and ended up taking a chunk of my thumb cuticle. She did the manicure and forgot the design. When she got up to give me the massage I asked about it and she said it would be an extra $20 and she had to take off the top layers to do it over what she had already done. I told her to forget it. While massaging my shoulders behind me she reached around me for me to switch hands under the lamp and pulled my hair. All that and only got $5 off for the "inconvenience". They told me I could come back another day for the design, I said forget it and left. I've never left a poor review in my life and am generally a very understanding person but this was insane!
