Staff quite rude. My order was incomplete, went back to get my missing items and they didn't believe I didn't have them, have no reason to lie it was a side of yucca fries something I could've purchased multiple of if I wanted multiple. Anyway, they checked with the person who packaged my ordered and confirmed they did not in fact put my fries in there and the lady still had an attitude ‍ idk maybe she was having an off day but definitely not coming back. read more

HORRIBLE!! Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT come here!! This was a To-Go Order. Customer Service to the food! None of the Employees wants to take accountability for miss haps. The biggest thing was how the food expediter gave me my order and left... I go to my car and check everything, and I was in the parking lot for a while. THE ENTIRE SNAPPER WAS MISSING!!! I rushed inside to state something and food expediter that gave me the food looked oblivious then went in the back got the fish that was already in a bag... sooooooo the fish was just sitting there.. I explained to them this was not the first time they messed up a To-Go order that I noticed on Yelp. They don't care, no clue how the ratings so high. The yellow rice bland... shrimp no flavor. As you can see in the pic, Snapper Burnt! They gave a CHICKEN empanada rather than BEEF. Look at the receipt. Just over all bad experience! Waste of time and Money. -_- read more

The food was mostly good. A few of the items were bland but the beef empanada and steak were good. The service is very slow though and they forgot part of our order. That is fine, it happens so we asked one of the waitresses, 15 minutes later still nothing so we asked another. It took a while and then a third server came to ask us about it and finally it came. read more

Good place to eat! Good service! A lot of options to choose! I personally love its empanadas!

Babbbbbyyyy! You say you want to be happy! You say you want good food! You say you want good service! COME HERE! ITS NOTHING BUT GOODNESS! As you can see, we tried a bit of everything. Personally, my favs would be the seafood soup and the veggies plates. The seafood soup literally had bites of calamari and mussels in each bite. The flavor was so powerful and everything was cooked to perfection. No salt or spices needed. The veggie plate will hit every single time! Why am I coming out getting a veggie plate and I eat meat? WELL, IT'S THAT GOOD! They also sell drinks. Fresh juices. Shots. Mixed drinks. Tried them all and no complaints! They aren't stingy with their alcohol, which surprised me! Big shots for a gal like me! Oh yeah, you can also bring your fur baby to the outside patio! Try them out! read more

We love this place and it has become one of our staples when in town. Great food at decent prices. Nice staff and clean contemporary restaurant. We always get take out and the order is correct and ready on time, if not earlier. But, I would like to eat at the restaurant in the future and enjoy the ambience and some of the adult beverages offered. If you like Latin food, don't bother going anywhere else! read more

I have absolutely zero complaints about this place! 10/10! From the way your order to sit down and eat, it was just a breeze. When you first arrive, you have the option to either order from the two tablets upfront ot with the host. You pay for your food and drinks and then take your number to your table. They bring your food and waaalahhh. I literally went here three days in a row because I was so satisfied with the skirt steak plate. It was such a big portion and the flavor was amazing. If you like your steak a little less well done make that noted because they do like a well done steak here. I said medium and it came out well done.lol But thats not a big issue and an easy fix if this happens to you. I ordered this along with the fried yuca which you can ALMOST describe as thick cut french fries or potato wedges but not quite! They taste great tho and you can dip them in whatever sauce you please. When I return to Orlando, I will for sure be making a stop here again! Until next time! read more

Delicious! We love Latin sandwiches and they're hard to find where we live, so we ordered a tripleta and also a medianoche. We loved them both. We also got a side of platanos maduros - also delicious. For dessert, we ordered alfajores and flan. The cookies were light as clouds holding their dulce de leche filling and the flan was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

The ratings don't lie! This restaurant was beautifully decorated and relaxing with outside and inside seating options. The food was delicious and filling. Try as many empanadas as you can! We ordered Colombian and Cuban empanadas, and a Venezuelan arepa pernil. These were huge, juicy , and flavorful. Each were traditionally cooked in the way of the country and very authentic. The food brought me back to my memories of visiting these countries. I absolutely loved the variety. I also ordered the best coffee in town, a cortadito. This little drink was sweet, smooth, and packed with a rich coffee flavor. Delicious. Also, great prices make it easy to sample a lot of the menu without breaking the bank. read more

Food and service were great! Very friendly and very authentic food with good serving sizes. We'd definitely go back again!

Concept of a fast food restaurant with avarage restaurant prices. Both my wife's seafood soup and my steak were super salty. My steak was well done though I had asked for medium rare, no one cared to ask (only if I had know prior to leaving the tip). They will also bring out all of your food at once, so if you asked for appetizers and or desserts be ready to eat your food and or desserts at room temperature! read more

This place has plenty of parking and is right beside a gift shop. You order food at the counter. They give you a number and you take a seat. They bring the food out to you and occasionally check in on you. I ordered the steak dinner with a beer flight. The beer flight was pretty good. The steak itself was great but the sides were so-so. I wouldn't mind coming back. read more

Food is great. I had the Cuban sandwich, an empanada, and the fried yuca. Service is great also! Order for pickup, and it all came packaged neatly in a bag with a note from the person who packaged it and was able to pick it up quickly. My only complaint about this place is the Parking!!! There is not enough spots for the customers. So walk , UBER , or have a friend waiting with the car on to pick you up read more

Wow wow wow, you can just smell how good this place is going to be from the outside. Once you walk in it gets even better, make sure you order before seating yourself or you might be waiting for awhile. In line Check the menu from your phone or you can see it behind where you order inside. The staff was awesome very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Cuban empanada, the Valenzuela empanada, pollo a la brasa with fried yuca, plantains and rice and beans also the sopa de mariscos which by far is the best soup we had in a very long time the broth really makes this And reminds us of grandmas cooking growing up. Extremely delicious and I'm sure everything on the menu is made to perfection Please stop here if you're looking for authentic Cuban Valenzuelan food because this spot is the place and it seems like it would be packed from open to close. Parking is tough and might take you awhile but worth the wait trust me. read more

Located in a easy-to-forget strip mall next to a souvenir shop, it's an easy restaurant to overlook. Don't. The food is great and the variety alone makes it worth multiple visits. The empanadas, camarones, tres leches, all delicious. It's hard to choose with so many different Latin varieties to choose from. Don't go simple. The one thing that my family ordered that was just so-so was the jamon y queso arepa. Too simple and lacked flavor. Make sure you take a glance at the menu before you arrive. It's a restaurant that you order at the register and then sit down. There's a line but you may feel pressure since the menu is large and you have to order right away. Looking forward to another visit next time we're in Orlando. read more

The cafe con leche was a cup of tepid milk with a hint of burnt coffee residue. The Cuban sando was slices of dry bread made special and aged tasteless meats and the cheese similar to a shoelace. The weather must make people crazy and they find the food authentic, tasty, and amazing. I'm relieved I'll never be back here. Nice try. Can I find a Neg 5 rating? read more

We were In the area and came across this restaurant. It wasn't too busy at the time. It has small menu selections and some are only available on certain days of the week which was inconvenient. Food was ok. Tried the shredded pork with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains and my husband had the same but with red beans and yucca. It does come with a small side salad which is nice. Tried their fresh passion fruit juice and it was good too. Not sure if I'll visit again just because of the menu options. But very clean and friendly staff. read more

Service: 3.5 Food: 5 Aesthetic: 4 Efficiency: 5 Cleanliness: 2 We came to Sofrito hoping for authentic tasting Spanish food and they delivered! My husband is Puerto Rican, I am Colombian and the friend we came here with is Peruvian. We each ordered an authentic plate of our country and we were pleasantly surprised. Usually a restaurant that offers a wide variety of Spanish food never actually delivers (taste wise) to what is ordered but again we were surprised how authentic our plates were. Great tasting, portion was hefty (we took home leftovers) and food came out quick! As a local I do feel it was overpriced but makes perfect sense considering it's in a touristy area. Now when it comes to cleanliness bathrooms weren't in the best condition and upon sitting down we noticed the trash can close to the bar was overflowing . Employees simply pushed the trash down but continued to throw trash in a noticeably full and ready to take out trash bin. They have indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. Ur it does get pretty full. Not sure what it's like during the week but on the weekend it's definitely busy. Overall food was great, service was quick and business model is efficient. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a variety of items. To start we had the papa relleno and they were fantastic. Small bite size pieces that were crispy on the outside but soft potato and beer with great flavor on the inside. Then we had the pollo a la brasa and churrasco as our main entrees. These each come with 3 sides and a house salad. Everything came out hot and was deliciously seasoned. The churrasco steak was my favorite as it cooked perfectly. If you love garlic, this is definitely for you. The portions were huge and we had plenty of leftovers. Finally, we finished with the coconut flan which was creamy with lots of caramel flavor and coconut flakes. This is definitely a must try place and you won't regret it! read more

We were staying nearby and walked over to Sofrito Latin Cafe after I saw the rave Yelp reviews. I can say that it certainly did not disappoint! For the prices they offer, you get a great portion of food with just deep, delicious flavors. I love the diversity of cuisines they are combining together, mixing dishes of different Latin countries together to create this unique menu. I had the spinach and cheese Argentinean empanada which I really enjoyed - brought out hot, crispy exterior with a well-seasoned and hot filling that was perfect as comfort food. My husband had the chicken Colombian empanada and also commented on how flavorful it was. I also had the vegetarian plate which comes with three sides and a side salad - I love options where I can try a little bit of everything a place has to offer. This was a perfect combo of getting my veggies in with just a light garlic seasoning and getting to try the crispy but melt-in-your-mouth plantains as well. We opted for a latin non-alcoholic drink which was cool to try, but I definitely was eyeing their mojito flight! Such a cool idea! All of this for less than $30 these days is really impressive to me. Food came out quickly and hot. There's a nice, clean indoor area as well as outdoor patio with cool decor like a bunch of rattan lamps from the ceiling. Highly recommend if you're local or just visiting the area. I'll keep it in mind for when I come back to Orlando! read more

Staff was really attentive and so nice, but I got food poisoning from here. Because of that I can't recommend. Ordered a beef empanada and shredded beef arepa. read more

Their beans are so so so good- my only issue is they are defiantly getting stingier... salad is no longer included with every dish and now counts as one of your sides. They also give smaller side portions than they used to- even changed the beans vessel that it came in!! Still very delicious and tasty. But as a baller on a budget it's tough. read more

Churrasco med rare very tender and delicious. Always enjoy the food here. Wife had the shrimp and she really enjoyed that too.

I have been coming to Sofritos for many years. Unfortunately they have gone down in quality. Tonight we decided to do take out instead of dining in. The arepas are smaller in size and the price has gone up. The roast pork was dry and the sides were not fresh (the yellow rice was old and the fried yuca was mush). The lomo was no up to par for the price charged. The only thing that was not too bad was the sandwich. It's a shame because we used to really enjoy it. But we will no longer come back. I don't think talking to management would make too much of a difference since it's not just one thing but the quality as a whole. Too bad. We really used to love this place. read more

So I decided to give this place another try after 3 years. And my opinion has changed. I have been 2 times since and being vegetarian, I am happy there are a couple things for me to eat. Just be patient with them! The food is great. It can be a little expensive but the portions are great for what you're paying. There's indoor and outdoor sitting. My review before this was based on the fact they sent all of our food out as it was ready and it took forever for everyone to finally eat. These past two times since I've been back, we did not have that same experience. I'm happy I gave them a second shot! read more

After a long day at Disney, we were looking for some good food to take back to our hotel. Sofrito was highly recommended on Yelp and also only a few blocks away from our hotel. I placed the order online and we were quoted a 45 minute return window. It ended up only being around 30 minutes, so definitely check in with them when you arrive. For those looking to dine-in, you order at the counter and they give you a number for your table. They'll bring your food to you. We saw several parties walk up, realize that this was the case, and choose to leave - so just a warning. I had the Cuban on soft bread and X had a burger with a fried egg. Neither come with any sides, so make sure you order one if you want fries or anything else with your order. My sandwich was really good - one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had. We also ordered a Tres Leches cake, which X said was pretty good. A bit on the smaller side, but perfect for us because we were both so full from the food. read more

This place is very good, atmosphere, food, it has it all. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The food here is absolutely delicious. We got a Cuban empanada with beef, a Venezuelan empanada with cheese( this was probably the best thing we ate! Don't sleep on it!) an order of 4 papas rellenas / also delicious! A Colombian empanada, mini quesitos and Cuban pastelitos, and lastly the Pelua Arepa. Everyone was friendly and the food came out fast, coffee even faster. Don't hesitate to try this place if you're close by! They have flavors for every palate, from sweet tooth to salty/savory and even some delicious combos. Definitely don't sleep on the Venezuelan empanada with cheese though! read more

This was our last stop before heading to the airport. They have a great selection of foods from different countries in Central, South America and the Caribbean. I had the Cuban sandwich and my wife had the roast pork plate. We also had the Cuban beef empanadas. Everything was good, however some of the items did not taste authentic which is why I gave it 4 stars. The roast pork in the sandwich was not the traditional Cuban roast pork and the empanada dough was also not traditional which changed the flavor a bit. This place gets 5 stars for the selection of food and the service. 4 stars for the items that I tried. With that said, I would definitely come back here and would recommend you give it a shot. read more

Wow! Everything I tried at this place is out of this world. Love that they mix all types of Spanish food for the ultimate eats! Tapas style apps that you can do small or large portions of! I got the sampler for 2 that brought enough food for a family of 4! The Cuban was great too and they made it exactly how I asked for it extra pressed! Perfect place to stop by for breakfast lunch or dinner when you are looking for a Spanish bite to eat! Wish they would open one of these in Tampa! The ham croquettes are amazing too super fresh and fried to order. Unlike its sister resturant El Patron this wasn't as yummy or perhaps not as vegetarian friendly or we just were not used to Latin American breakfast. We stopped by here before our flight. Disappointing- the food and the service. We ordered a cachapa, tostada cubana, guava juice, and a chai tea. We paid $3.25 for a cup of chai tea (we really like chai tea) and when they brought it to the table... it was a cup of hot water and a TEA BAG! I do not mind paying that amount for a beverage if it is being crafted on site, but not for a tea bag... disappointing. The same thing with the guava juice. I feel like this juice was poured straight from a can and not freshly made on site. The juice tasted watered down as well... again, disappointing. The tostada cubana was okay. It barely had any butter on it and when we asked for butter, the server brought a cold butter brick, likely just cut from a solid stick of butter. Needless to say, the butter would not spread smoothly onto the bread and because the butter was so cold, it did not melt on the lukewarm bread. We left half of the serving uneaten because who wants to eat dry toast. The cachapa was blah. No real flavor. And it came out of the kitchen barely warm. I did, however, like the sweet corn flavor, but was underwhelmed by the dish. Note: the tostada cubana came out of the kitchen almost 10 minutes before the cachapa. A note to the kitchen- prepare the meals which take longer to cook first, then prepare the meals which do not take a lot of time so the food comes out at the same time, or close to the same time. No one at a table wants to watch someone else eat all of their food while waiting for theirs. I really wanted to enjoy the food here. I was excited about coming here. Maybe we didn't order their specialty, maybe it was an off day. Either way, we were disappointed. If you go, I wish you have a better experience. read more

Upon entering the restaurant, we were a little perplexed. We were informed that before you sit, you need to order your food from a kiosk or from the cashier, make payment and find yourself a seat. Because this was our first time in the restaurant and the menu was relatively large, we needed time to decide what we wanted. So we stood looking at the menu and tried not to be in the way while people streamed in. The area near the door got pretty congested. It seemed that many others, like us, were not familiar with the system here. We were a little overwhelmed by the time we placed our order. But we found a seat and it was fine. It won't be a problem for us on our next visit. We understand now how it works. Our food came out fairly quickly. We had one Argentinian and one Colombian empanada. Both were outstanding. I had the churrasco entree which was so tender, juicy and full of flavor. This was simply delicious. My husband had the Roast Pork entree which was a little on the dry side, but had good flavor. We will try it again. Maybe it was an off day for the pork. The passion fruit juice was sweet, tangy and very tasty. The staff was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back and will bring friends and family. read more
