Ordered some sandwiches and side items, they were fresh and tasty, although we really believed they needed more seasoning. Portion sizes were generous! This is a fast casual restaurant - no wait staff. You place your own order at the host stand, then take a seat and wait for a staff member to drop off your food. Despite the fact that several staff members walked past our table and we flagged them down....they ignored our requests. (more sauce, some ice for the drinks, etc) The irony? This is one of those places that asks you to tip in advance. For what? what are you tipping for? For someone to bring your food? well how else are you going to eat it if they don't bring it to you? lol. Stopped in for lunch with a group of friends. You order your food up at the touch screen counter, take a number and seat yourself. There is a bar and then water station. Breakfast ends at 11. I ordered a chicken soup with ham croquettes. We grabbed a table outside. The seating outside is shaded and covered so it was nice. They bring your food out within 10-15 mins. The soup was a big portion, I couldn't finish it. It was inexpensive as well. The sandwiches were pretty good. I could've done without the ham croquettes. I do want to come back for breakfast though. It's a cute little spot with inside/outdoor dining. Right next to the Starbucks if you are arriving the first time. Maybe 50 seats inside and about 10 bar seats. Lots of natural light because the windows but large but it is cool inside and a great escape from the Florida heat! Family friendly and super clean - floors, baseboards, and tables, everything! I'll get the only two "not perfect" comments out of the way, right away, because there's so much good to say! The seats are metal and a bit uncomfortable. Also they have no servers. You don't have someone coming back to check on you but everyone is super friendly. I suspect they are having staffing issues like so many other places. ‍ You give your order to the person at the register, pay, take a number to a table. Remember to grab your pre-wrapped silverware! They have complimentary water at the same station. They bring your food to the table. I ordered all sides. Cuban black beans and yellow rice. The woman at the register suggested appetizer tequeños and I also got vanilla flan, marroncito, and water. My flan came out first with my coffee, so I had my dessert first! Yummy and fun! Adult privilege to eat dessert first! It was amazing. Perfectly made. Perfect texture and perfectly baked! Smoooooth. I'm saying perfect so much because it was, well, perfect! The mini Tequeños came on their own small tray, very hot! Thank you!!! The side sauce was a rich and delicious garlic-cilantro and more than needed. They were so good and the pastry was perfect. There I go with that perfect word again!!! The black beans and yellow rice were sides so the portions were smaller, but just what I wanted! The Queen Bean, the black bean, was cooked with garlic and a few seasonings. There was a rich gravy for them but it was far more beans. The yellow rice had its own tray too. There were bits of green and red pepper and the rice was cooked, yes, you know it, perfectly! All the flavors were rich, fresh, and nothing was overpowering. I particularly appreciate two things: the food was all served hot and NOT microwave hot. I've worked in restaurants and hot food is typically a good indicator of care and attention to food safety. Plus no one wants all the food microwave hot And no one flavoring was overpowering and I'm so glad not over salted. Each table offers its own salt, pepper, ketchup, and Sofrito sauce. My total was $32 but tip and tax was $6. The coffee was $4.75 and super fresh with a fresh aroma and cute design on top with fresh cream. The flan was $4. I splurged a little because I read so many good reviews here on Yelp! Plus I see the restaurant engaging with posts which indicates they care. First we thought this was a sit down restaurant. I mean you can sit, but you order at the counter and they deliver your food to you. Check in on yelp for $5 off $30. The food: we both had roast pork which comes with 3 sides and a small salad. My sides were white rice, red beans & sweet plantains. My husband had the same except with French fries. And we had 2 chicken empanadas. Pros: the pork is flavorful and good. The beans are probably the highlight, delicious and the plantains are great! The pernil (pork) arepa was pretty tasty with a good portion. This was really flavorful and messy to consume. The sauce kept dripping out. There was plenty of filling that was also oozing out. On the bright side, they jammed pack it with lots of meat. The churrasco (?) was interesting with a nice display. The skirt steak was sizable, pretty flavorful, and tender. Shrimp was quite salty and the yuca was very bland. The salad was served with no dressing. I up and left. Very disappointed.

We were a medium size party with littles and wanted some good authentic food that wasn't too expensive and could fill us up after a long day at the adventure parks. This place got rave reviews, so we hit it up and it did not disappoint. The set up was interesting as you go up and order your food and drinks and then later they give it to you. It was nice so that we could just get it all done and paid for and rally the kiddos to their seats. There was no one outside and we didn't want to be loud so we asked if we could sit out there and it was great! They had warmers, high walls to keep up in and safe, the kids got to run around and eat and we got to have some great food and drinks and wind down from a full day. I chose this place to eat because of the Yelp reviews and also because I overheard someone at Volleyball Nationals raving about how delicious the food is. The servers were very helpful. I ordered the Cuban roast pork which was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. It melts in your mouth. The portion size was great and I was able to take half of it home for dinner. The potatoes and yellow rice were cooked well and complemented the meal perfectly. I do have to rave about the plantains. I've been to other places and they weren't always my favorite; however, I LOVED them here. When I placed these plantains in my mouth, they reminded me of Filipino Turon (bananas wrapped in egg roll wrapper and fried). It was delicious. The outer part of the plantains had a nice, somewhat sticky texture. It was like dessert! I highly recommend this place. The ambiance was nice and I loved their decor with the basket lighting above and a beautiful place to sit outside if you so choose. Service was great and they walked around asking if you needed anything. Very polite and helpful! Staff was very hospitable and the manager came over and checked in us. We ordered the Camarones al Ajillo, a Puerto Rican dish; a Venezuelan Empanada; and Cuban Mini Quesitos. The Camarones (Shrimp) was some of the best we have ever eaten. (Being from Louisiana that says a lot.) I believe they were Royal Red Shrimp. The flavor was outstanding and perfectly cooked. It came with a choice of 3 sides so we ordered: a house salad that had the most amazing dressing on it. (Tasted like a lemon garlic vinagrette.); tostones with an amazing dipping sauce; and yellow rice.The whole meal was a tasty experience. Ordered Coffee Americana and had the Mini Quesitos for dessert. The coffee was def some of the best I ever had at a restaurant. Both the Coffee and Quesitos were full of flavor and top notch. Authentic Caribbean food. We ordered churrasco for dinner and were transported to the time we went to Puerto Rico for an extended period of time. When you come in you will order and pay for your food. They provide you a number and your food will be brought to the table. The portions are generous. The churrasco comes with three sides and a garden salad. You will not leave hungry. They have nice size tables in and outdoors. We enjoyed the lovely lit patio. OMG, the flavors were made me want to say "Well slap my a** and call me Sally". Soooooo delicious. Table maintenance was great and empty plates were cleared almost immediately! The open seating was surprisingly comfortable and tables weren't packed tight. Passing through the Orlando area & we were feeling a little peckish so we decided to stop at this Latin Café. Interesting set up: when you come in, you place an order via a touchscreen. If you're planning on staying you take a number and you attach that number to your order. Then you sit down and they will bring the food to you. We ordered the Columbian chicken empanadas. Interesting... it comes in a hard corn dough. We found that to be overpowering to the shredded chicken, which was flavorful in itself. They came with a jalapeño relish for dipping. Next time we'll try one of the other types of empanadas that are not made with corn. On the other hand, my sandwich was absolutely divine! I had the Pernil handheld, which is roast pork. What made this so flavorful was the cilantro garlic mojo on the pressed Cuban bread. Yum!! The sandwich is huge as well so I could only eat half of it. Also, had the papa criollo which is roasted baby potatoes. Hard on the outside & soft on the inside. Lovely... Lastly the Café con Leche was very flavorful. I didn't find it bitter at all and I tried it without sugar. Hubby added a little sugar to his cup, and enjoyed it very much that way.
