Great little place to get some good Cuban food. We sat out on the patio which was nice. We shared the 36 hour pork dinner with three sides and added an order of Tostones. The toast Stoneys came with a dipping sauce. They are a must so delicious. We also enjoyed the pork, it was not at all dry and was very flavorful. For sides we opted for the black beans, yellow, rice, and potatoes. All were very delicious, would definitely like to eat here again in the near future. Again enough to share and we ate for a little over 20 bucks read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Tostones with dipping sauce. 36 hour pork dinner with three sides. - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I can't say enough about Sofrito. I was in town for a Disney vacation and honestly the only thing I cared about was getting a Cuban sandwich. I did a quick local search and Sofrito was 1st to come up. Boy did it deliver! It was a perfectly made sandwich which hit all of the notes I was wanting. My wife tried a Pabellon arepa and it was sooooooo incredibly tender and delicious. We went twice during our stay and that's what she got both times. They also have 3 hot sauces to add to your dishes. I tried them all and they were truly all delicious. I love spicy, and the spiciest one really was spicy. I thought I took a picture of them, but apparently I didn't - make sure to try them though. Sofrito Latin Cafe is a must stop location if you're in Orlando. read more

Everything was good from the churrasco to the eggs , loved everything about the place Super fast service , they only just missed one of our things and it came out cold after but besides that it was good. Wish the arepa had melted cheese as you can see it didn't If you sit towards the glass make sure you love the sun cause it's hot lol but the ambiance was really nice very clean read more

Tasty. Too many choices to try in one sitting despite being the youngest in my group. Many empanadas. Not sure about the nuetella, but wish I was young enough to try the other deserts. Guava juice was good too. I need another round or three to better evaluate how tasty on future trips. Maybe by then the first timer newness will have worn off. Group photos were cute, but I don't keep such. read more

This was the last day of our Orlando vacation, and the last meal while we're here-- aside from snacks and leftovers in our hotel. We were with the in-laws so the table had a lot of orders including: Sopa de Pollo, a Cuban, Ham and Swiss Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Fingers, an appetizer I can't remember, and Camarones al Ajillo x 2. Overall, the food was great. A couple critiques here and there (mainly about the lack of flavor in the rice) but overall it was great. The mojito and gin/tonics were refreshing as well. read more

Was good and expensive. Service very nice. I really like more traditional service.

As tourists, we wanted to try something with flavor and we scored! Decided to share so we could try a bit of everything, we ordered the Cuban beef empanada, arepa pernil, churasco with sweet plantains, yellow rice, and fired yuca! The empanada and churasco were my favorite, the arepa was also really good, I just felt it was missing something, or maybe too much of a good thing? For drinks we had the guava juice, and frozen margarita. Highly recommend both! For dessert we had the Cuban pasteliyos... another great hit! read more

This place is a hidden gem found right next to Disney. It's a great spot to find Cuban/South American food. They have 2 kiosks where you can order yourself on a computer and they also have someone who can take your order. Indoor has a very industrial, modern vibe. They also have a bar inside. There's plenty of seats outdoors as well and it's covered! We ordered a Cuban empanada with chicken, a Cuban with tostadas, and a pabellon that has shredded beef with lettuce & tomatoes sandwiched between two large tostadas and a side of fried yuca. Everything was delicious. read more

Fantastic option so close to Disney. In a world with a lot of pretend in fantasy, this is a real deal, authentic Latin café with great standards menu choices and service. Decent prices on drinks. The garlic shrimp was 10/10 and the black beans w yellow rice were slap the table tasty. Great packaging for take out. Lively atmosphere for dining in with a large pretty patio option. Came in on Sunday. Upon walking in it had the feel of Zaza's Cuban Cafe. That sort of fastfood cuban food feel. Since you grab a menu, order with the host, pay your given a number you sit down and your food is brought to your table. Not my favorite style of eating, but it works for an every now and then visit. Food was good, we both ordered the Roast Pork $13.25 and two drinks: I had a Passion Fruit Mimosa. Prices were fair. Lots of different countries main dishes. read more

I travel for a living. I know the challenges of finding a place to eat when you don't know the area. I resist going to chains.... I'll eat there where I'm home. But I like to try something new. This place is where to go. I hate when I let myself get "hangry". I love this place. Easy to place your own order, or they will take it for you. The menu has something for everyone. You rarely see a Caipirinha on a menu in the United States. And their burger was so huge. I had to take half of it to go. I highly recommend this place. Super friendly, too! read more

Went to this place for breakfast while visiting Orlando with family. The food was delicious and the portions are generous. We wanted to order some of the items they had on their screen but unfortunately, it was only for dinner. Service was quick and they didn't hover over you so you can actually enjoy conversations without interruptions. Highly Recommend coming in earlier as they don't do reservations. You order first then find a spot to sit down. read more

This place has to be my favorite quick service restaurant in the area. You can order at one of three kiosks and also have the opportunity to order at a podium with a person. The menu is robust with an option for everyone. Food is fresh and quick to be plated. The area is very clean and has a great atmosphere. I will definitely go back! read more

I stopped in here for takeout while staying nearby for business. The Yelp reviews looked promising so I gave it a try. When I arrived they have a sign out front saying to be patient with their employees as they are currently under staffed much like many places these days. The interior is nice and clean. You can place your order at the counter and sit down if you are dining in. The menu board overhead denotes what is vegetarian which is helpful. I ordered all sides, white rice, black beans and sweet plantains. I waited less than 5 minutes and my order was ready. The food was very good. The rice perfectly cooked and the black beans had great flavor. The sweet plantains were also very tasty. The service was great and the food was quite good. I enjoyed my meal and would return. read more

This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you are eating at home. So many families were here sitting at tables, enjoying a great meal together. A very nice vibe. I enjoyed it so much that I visited twice during my week in Orlando, and had leftovers both times. The employees are very nice. They have a large covered patio for outdoor eating. The menu features foods from several Latin countries. You won't be disappointed with the cocktails either. The only thing I wish is that the Picada for two came with more sides like rice and plantains. Free parking Average prices Great food read more

I loved the food and staff is very nice. I enjoyed the cuban sandwich. It is a family friendly restaurent. I highly recommend.

Returned many times prior and each time had the Cuban empanada but the last few times it would seem that the recipe has changed. It's not as yellow inside as it has been over a year ago. It seems to have a more reddish color and different taste. So thought maybe I haven't been ordering the right type of empanadas. This round tried every empanadas on a scale of 1-5, 5 being best. Argentina- 2 the outside was doughy and the potatoes inside didn't really care for Colombian- 3 liked the crunchy fried exterior and the chicken was savory Cuban -3 the airy, flakey exterior is my fav but wish the OG yellowish flavor chicken was back Venezuela - 3 if you don't want chicken in your empanadas this is the one - slightly sweet yet savory cheese middle Nutella dessert empanadas -4 NUTELLA inside, fried on the outside, powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Enough said. read more

I don't know why it took so long for us to try this place, but I am glad we did! The food is delicious! We have been twice so far and I got the same thing, pork with red beans, yellow rice, and a salad! OMG! So good! I even tried a strawberry smoothie and it was so good and refreshing! You order at the kiosk or with an employee, take a number, and find a seat (inside or out), they bring you your food and drinks but also have a water dispenser outside for your convenience. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. My only complaint is that it is so popular that parking is hard. They do have a parking lot but there are a few spots designated for the store next door and Starbucks. Otherwise, we highly recommend it! read more

The delicious arepa i ate, the interior of this space, and the friendly and patient staff, all the reasons why you need to visit this cafe! This restaurant is probably going to be one of the main reasons why i would go to Orlando again! DON'T FORGET TO USE THE YELP CHECK-IN BEFORE YOU PAY. -- I got $5 discount by doing so. Tho the reception in the are isn't that good. Luckily I was able to get some reception and use this awesome deal This place is awesome. Its quite spacious, well decorated and awesome ambiance. Not to mention the music was on the spot We ordered our dish from the front and it was named "Picada For Two" which was a sampler that was a mix of tostones, mini arepas con queso de mano, fried yucca, steak, chicken, chicharron (the skin was very crispy and super tasty) and salad with avocado. This dish was superb. Glad that we made the right choice! :) Definitively one of the best place to come for food in FL : ) read more

Ridiculously good. Made my day. The pork was by far the best thing in have eaten in Florida

I'm super picky with Cuban food, especially since I lived in Miami in South Florida for many years and living here. I've noticed that there's a lot of South Americans and also Puerto Ricans and the food in Orlando has definitely improved over the years and I could actually say it's probably one of the best cities to Try all the incredible flavors especially the chicken and the sauce is here and her food is soooo good it's insane read more

My family and I recently visited the area for vacation- we ate at Sofrito 4 out of the 5 days! We had options for everyone, including a toddler and a vegetarian person in our group. Very family friendly and bonus: bathroom was also clean!! read more

First we thought this was a sit down restaurant. I mean you can sit, but you order at the counter and they deliver your food to you. Check in on yelp for $5 off $30. The food: we both had roast pork which comes with 3 sides and a small salad. My sides were white rice, red beans & sweet plantains. My husband had the same except with French fries. And we had 2 chicken empanadas. Pros: the pork is flavorful and good. The beans are probably the highlight, delicious and the plantains are great! The chicken in the empanadas was dry and not very flavorful. We sat outside under the heaters, it is a cold evening here in Orlando! This wasn't what I expected but it was good. Very good for the money, especially in a touristy area! read more

DON'T FORGET TO USE THE YELP CHECK-IN BEFORE YOU PAY. -- It's in bold bc I checked in after the fact... :( I really liked how they label their menu with the food's country of origin or at least the food style from a particular region. It gave us a perspective of the regional food variations. The espresso shot and iced latte were so so. Nothing noteworthy to mention. The Venezuela empanada was really good. I've had plenty of empanadas, and this version was the most delectable. The coating was nice and crispy without being too doughy. It was a sizable portion as well. The pernil (pork) arepa was pretty tasty with a good portion. This was really flavorful and messy to consume. The sauce kept dripping out. There was plenty of filling that was also oozing out. On the bright side, they jammed pack it with lots of meat. The churrasco (?) was interesting with a nice display. The skirt steak was sizable, pretty flavorful, and tender. There was a nice array of food. The plantains were really tasty: soft and sweet. The tostones were the opposite with a nice crunchy texture. The salad and potatoes were nice fillers. All food items worked well together that were very filling. read more

First of all, the plates are HUGE and really one meal could feed two people. We had the pork and it was awesome! Recommend it. Stopped in for lunch with a group of friends. You order your food up at the touch screen counter, take a number and seat yourself. There is a bar and then water station. Breakfast ends at 11. I ordered a chicken soup with ham croquettes. We grabbed a table outside. The seating outside is shaded and covered so it was nice. They bring your food out within 10-15 mins. The soup was a big portion, I couldn't finish it. It was inexpensive as well. The sandwiches were pretty good. I could've done without the ham croquettes. I do want to come back for breakfast though. We had initially tried to come for that but was too late. read more

Good was great! It was a little pricy but we got super full from what we got. That being said, the place is nice, a little cheaply made for the price of things and there wasn't a lot of ppl that walk around asking if you need anything. It's a cute little spot with inside/outdoor dining. Right next to the Starbucks if you are arriving the first time. Maybe 50 seats inside and about 10 bar seats. Lots of natural light because the windows but large but it is cool inside and a great escape from the Florida heat! Family friendly and super clean - floors, baseboards, and tables, everything! I'll get the only two "not perfect" comments out of the way, right away, because there's so much good to say! The seats are metal and a bit uncomfortable. Also they have no servers. You don't have someone coming back to check on you but everyone is super friendly. I suspect they are having staffing issues like so many other places. ‍ You give your order to the person at the register, pay, take a number to a table. Remember to grab your pre-wrapped silverware! They have complimentary water at the same station. They bring your food to the table. I ordered all sides. Cuban black beans and yellow rice. The woman at the register suggested appetizer tequeños and I also got vanilla flan, marroncito, and water. My flan came out first with my coffee, so I had my dessert first! Yummy and fun! Adult privilege to eat dessert first! It was amazing. Perfectly made. Perfect texture and perfectly baked! Smoooooth. I'm saying perfect so much because it was, well, perfect! The mini Tequeños came on their own small tray, very hot! Thank you!!! The side sauce was a rich and delicious garlic-cilantro and more than needed. They were so good and the pastry was perfect. There I go with that perfect word again!!! The black beans and yellow rice were sides so the portions were smaller, but just what I wanted! The Queen Bean, the black bean, was cooked with garlic and a few seasonings. There was a rich gravy for them but it was far more beans. The yellow rice had its own tray too. There were bits of green and red pepper and the rice was cooked, yes, you know it, perfectly! All the flavors were rich, fresh, and nothing was overpowering. I particularly appreciate two things: the food was all served hot and NOT microwave hot. I've worked in restaurants and hot food is typically a good indicator of care and attention to food safety. Plus no one wants all the food microwave hot And no one flavoring was overpowering and I'm so glad not over salted. Each table offers its own salt, pepper, ketchup, and Sofrito sauce. My total was $32 but tip and tax was $6. The coffee was $4.75 and super fresh with a fresh aroma and cute design on top with fresh cream. The flan was $4. I splurged a little because I read so many good reviews here on Yelp! Plus I see the restaurant engaging with posts which indicates they care. I'm on my way to work at a conference and this was just what I wanted: enough/ not too much; fresh, flavorful, and sustaining. Thank you for a great lunch! read more

Visiting the Disney all sports resort and decided this place for delivery. Absolutely delicious! Chicken arepa - flavorful, kids meal was packed with goodies: ham and cheese sandwich which was great, side of tostones - so crispy, and it came with a drink too.
