Great place for lunch! Always busy, so you know it's good :). I like the skirt steak with French fries. Everything pretty inexpensive for the quality ! Empanadas are always a good option. read more

Excellent Latin restaurant! We stopped in for lunch and had the Colombian burger and the Venezuelan Patacon. The service was great and the staff nice and professional, but the food itself sets this establishment apart. 5 stars! read more

The service was excellent and prompt, and the food was simply scrumptious. We had the Cuban sandwich, which was delightfully golden on the outside and tender on the inside. The churrasco was done to perfection, I had mine medium rare. The sides were also delectable, especially the plantains - they are a must order! read more

Being from Miami where theres a diverse Hispanic population and culture, I was excited to come across Sofrito. I like the variety they offer in their menu and the cashier seemed nice so it was off to a good start. It was an interesting concept, order your food and then sit and wait while your order is brought to you. I got the pernil sandwich with yuca fries, croquettas, a cafe con leche, and an OJ. The pernil sandwich was pretty good. Yuca fries had a great cilantro garlic sauce however it may have been a little too much. Maybe offer to have it on the side, some of the yuca were so drenched that the middle became soggy. Croquettas were ok, nothing to write home about. Cafe con leche was good, maybe a little too much milk for my liking. OJ was average, nothing special. Overall experience was average. I ended up getting my food before I got my drinks which was weird. I would have thought drinks would come first or at least offer water for your guests. A couple sitting next to me ate their whole meal before they were able to get anyone to bring them water. The overall service could have been better. The food was very good though so might give it another try. read more

It's an aesthetically pleasing location and the Cuban espresso was strong and delicious. The food was also quite tasty. However, I'm giving it three stars because it took almost 40 minutes to receive our two B.E.C. sandwiches and they weren't particularly busy. read more

Hidden gem in the Lake Buena Vista area! Everything we ordered was excellent. Tried ALL the empanadas...I liked the Argentinian Spinach & Cheese, and the Venezuelan cheese ones the best. If you like meat, the Venezuelan chicken empanada was excellent as well. As far as entrees we ordered the -- Patacon (with shredded beef)...so good with the plantain as bread; the Cachaca (with shredded beef)...that queso is addicting! the Lomo Saltado...can't go wrong with a Peruvian staple; and the Churrasco...so yummy if you're a steak person. Will definitely come back here when we visit. read more

I am a visitor to Orlando from California. I have to say that my meal was night was just excellent. I enjoyed Cachapa (first time trying this dish and I'm a huge fan), Churrasco was so good, and Lomo Saltado (the best I've had). I wish I had more stomach space to try more dishes. Their Red Sangria was really nice too. The servers were really nice and helpful too. I had a good time here last night. I would definitely come back here the next time I visit Orlando again. read more

Amazing menu, great prices and really cute! Easy to order no fuss! Modern feel to the restaurant, and everything we tried was DELICIOUS!

Worst service ever! Took 20-25min for a coffee and two empenadas and even then they only gave me one out of the two and made me wait another 20min for the other one And no they were not busy at all. read more

Great breakfast, excellent coffee, and the service was superb. They were super friendly and the meal hot the spot.

!!! Sooo happy that this restaurant has come to town! Was driving home today and couldn't decide what to eat, and saw this restaurant from the right side of the road, made a u-turn and this was the best decision I ever made!! Walked in and they have a very interesting set up, but it works being that this is in Disney area and I'm sure they get super busy. You grab a menu from the wall, and go up and order what you want, then they give you a number and you wait. While we waited I had a very yummy Mango Bellini and it was only $6! For a Bellini I know right, super great deal and my boyfriend had a ale. We ordered the Churrasco, X-frango, and the Cuban sandwich. I had the Churrasco and it was soo delicious. You get 3 sides with it and I got white rice, black beans and tostones. You know it's a real black beans when there is a bay leaf in it! For me though it lacked a little bit of salt, but it was still yummy. The rice was properly cooked and the tostones were super yummy with the garlic sauce. My dish was $16, but the size of my Churrasco for the price was really reasonable. It also came with a small house salad. I got the X-frango for my brother and he even called me when he was eating to ask me how expensive was the sandwich, because it was so delicious and it came with 2 chicken patties, and when I told him it was only $7, he was like wow. It's so inexpensive and it tasted really good. For my boyfriend we got the Cuban, he liked it, but he said that there was some extra sauce in it, and he wasn't too fond of it. He likes the traditional Cuban. I didn't try it as I was showering and when I got out he was done eating lol. However, he did say he would still eat here again, maybe just won't get a Cuban or maybe just ask for the sauce not to be put in it? I'm not sure what the sauce was. I really enjoyed my meal and we had it to go as we were both so exhausted and wanted to go home. Can't wait to go back again and try more stuff. I highly recommend this place and thank you for not being an expensive restaurant. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I really enjoyed coming here! The staff is very nice, and food is delicious! I recommend the empanadas or the chicken soup. I would also recommend sharing meals, the portions are quite big but I would highly recommend! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Orlando. read more

I order take out and when I arrive to my job I did not get the rice(course of the meal) I had to leave my work again and by the time picked the rice my food didn't even taste that good and due to the inconvenience I lost my appetite. I didn't get an apology from the staff or any kind of compensation. I just thought it was rude for a place that's starting and is building up clientele. I work for huge resort and receive over 1200 calls a day but since I didn't feel appreciated or even like it matter to them I won't be promoting this business. read more

First impression was why am I getting plastic cutlery and plastic plates. However the taste was great and there was enough food on the plate to fill me up. Definitely a place to go and enjoy some good food. read more

This is a great place - very friendly staff and just amazing food. I had a cuban sandwich and a latte and was impressed on both counts. The sweet bread sandwich and some of the other specials will be drawing me back in the future and I cannot wait for my next visit to the area to try them! read more

The main courses took over half an hour to come out, both steaks were cold to the touch, the appetizers came out after the main course and they lost one appetizer order completely. Found out another table here has been waiting for their food for over and hour. Expected a lot for the price and the reviews; severely disappointed. read more

We stumbled across this restaurant and were so thrilled to find something besides a crappy chain restaurant! Stopped in for breakfast and really enjoyed the "sandwich" I had (shredded beef and plantains instead of bread slices). Awesome empanadas and cafe con leche! read more

The food was delicious. It was fresh and service was awesome! The flan melts in your mouth!

Good food! I had the chicken a la to pancha and it was so good! The Maduros and Cuban empanadas were my favorite! I would definitely recommend read more

Terrible avoid this place. This place is no where 4 stars rated, i ordered my food and 35 minutes not even the kids food was ready at 40 minutes the server advices me the plate i ordered was not available no more took them another 30 minutes to get the food and food was not good at all. The only thing we could eat was the french fries. read more

Delicious and you get so much for your money! They were super accommodating when I wanted veggies which wasn't on the menu as a side they did it. Great service, would definitely recommend. read more

NOT authentic!!! Looks pretty but doesn't taste great! Everything lacked Spanish flavor and needed salt we ordered a Cuban, beef arepa, and the roasted pork with boiled yuca white rice and red beans. The sauces they offered were disappointing and flavorless as well. Although the staff was very nice and helpful. FYI you order and then sit down nice atmosphere. Won't be back I like my Spanish food authentic. Good for people that like Spanish food but don't have Spanish mothers. read more

Great food and great service! I love that they had a vegetarian option that wasn't just beans and rice. Definitely will be going back!

Great food! Get the tequenos with the garlic sauce. My fiancé and I had the rotisserie chicken and grilled chicken with yucca and it was all fantastic. Get the passion fruit juice too! read more

This is my second review for Sofrito Latin Cafe and I swear I don't know the owners or anyone who works there. We made it back for breakfast before returning home from vacation and were well rewarded. We were greeted again by the delightful smile of the hostess. The empanadas were spectacular. I ordered bacon and eggs, not realizing I was about to be amazed. I mean, bacon and eggs - there's only so much you can do, right? Wrong! I didn't realize that I like my egg whites cooked a little crispy, which these were. And the bacon? No one ever cooks bacon crispy enough for me and this bacon was perfect. I've experienced different kinds of bacon but I have never experienced flavor like this. It was delicious like pork tenderloin delicious. The next time I'm in Orlando, before I check into my hotel, I'm driving by here to make sure they are still in business. I will be so sad if they are not! read more

Very casual authentic Latin restaurant near a bunch ch of hotels in Lake Buena Vista. Very good food. Reasonable prices. You order at the counter & food is delivered to your table. Friendly service. Kid friendly as long as your kids are a bit open to trying Latin food. read more

My favorite restaurant in Orlando. Plan your order and walk up counter. The staff makes you feel at home and actually remember you when come back. I prefer the roast pork with sweet plantains, white rice and black beans. I pour the black beans on the rice. Have a beer or a mango drink in one of their mason jars. read more

Delicious food. We had vegetarian main entree and chicken entree. Both were yummy. The staff were so friendly. They met us at the door with a menu and were helpful. Beautiful ambience too. When they came to clear the table, the man was so nice and proud to work here. read more

Nutella/guava waffles were delicious and plentiful. The cafe con lèche was made nearly luke warm-very disappointing. Though there were only 3 people waiting for food, it took awhile for my food to be cooked and served. Loud music at breakfast was too much for me, but I'm old read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday. Got a Cuban sandwich and added a side of fries. Food and service was great - it's in between a quick service and fast casual. You order at the counter, then food is delivered to your table. They also brought us water refills and to go containers for our leftovers. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was price. Cuban for $7 without a side was reasonable, but with fries was a little price for fast casual. read more

Great find! The empanadas were wonderful, dinner very flavorful, and everything was well priced. We ended sharing tres leche cake and were more than satisfied! We are from MN but will come here again next time we are in Orlando! Thanks for a great meal! read more

This has become our new favorite place to eat. We came home from vacation and this is what we wanted for brunch. Over time, we have sampled many of the menu items without any disappointment. The empanadas were great. The Churrasco steak, Lomo Saltado, beans, rice, roast pork, media noche sandwich and the Pabellon Criollo are all very flavorful and tender. Their specials are very good also. A very good mixture of Latin cuisine. The staff and management team are very pleasant. Give it a try and I hope you enjoy it! read more

So delicious! And it's not a cafeteria like one reviewer said...it's counter service and we found all the employees really nice. Good selection of vegetarian options and all very reasonably priced. The Cuban bread and chimichurri were delicious. My only suggestion would be to flavor up the black beans. They were a little bland but we can't wait to go back tomorrow to try the pan de bono! read more

Authentic Latin cuisine. Delicioso!!! The roast pork, fried Yucca, black beans and plantains, I was transported out of Orlando into South America and you will be too. Buen provecho! read more

The service was terrible . This restaurant is full of servers who almost none of spoke fluent English who due to this lack of communication not only served me the wrong food but later on in the night seemed to completely forget to serve me food that I ordered . Desert of just 2 churros which I had to wait over 30 minutes for leading to them becoming cold . Was a terrible experience and I will not be returning nor recommending this to anyone anytime soon . read more

The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the ambiance is very modern. We will definitely be returning! read more
