Food taste and quality - good. Service - sub par, and that's being generous. Several things to understand.... You walk up and order your food before sitting. After ordering you search for a table and put your number on it and wait for your food to be served. This took awhile on a Friday night. I expected a wait but not my meal served in parts at different times during the dinner. I ordered 2 adult entree's and 2 kid meals. The adult entree's were served at the same time, the kids meals were served much later (more than 30 mins) after notifying the server several times. One kid meal came out incomplete (missing a side) and one meal was basically forgotten. After reminding the server AGAIN, (another 20 mins) the second kids meal arrived. Again incomplete but at least hot. The entire experience was a complete disappointment. This wouldn't be my first choice solely based on the service. I read more

Listen, every time we come to Disney from Jersey we look for a GOOD Latin food place.....Well we finally found it. This place is off the hook. There is someone's grandmother cooking in the kitchen. This is the best Spanish food I've eaten in Florida. From the appetizers to the entrees to the dessert all of it was 5 star....the Sangria was legit and they have draft beer too. My Husband and I were staying at the Legacy Resort and decided to Try Sofrito Café. I have to say we were very pleased with the Cuban /Puerto Rico sandwich , Empanadillas, and salads , the fresh taste of cilantro, onions, peppers , olive oil Etc, and Fruit Juice amazing. I would recommend Sofrito to anyone in Orlando who loves Spanish foods or is in the mood for something Different, fresh and yummy. I will give them five stars for fresh island style cooked Latin foods . We were also impressed with the Ambiance, soft music, dim lights and Cleanliness. The Menu is not your typical three four pager binder it is on a cute wooden Board with a handful of items to pick from. Love It!!! What I found to be warm was a Atlas Map they have on a wall about 3 feet high and four feet wide ,with Stickers on the side for customers to be able to mark there home destination. The staff is attentive pleasant and warm. My Experience when you go to a restaurant Café with over 30 foods to choose from I run , I like to keep things Simple and Fresh. Wow, the service at this place is horrible. Ordered Togo, spent almost $100 and they don't have an extra plate?? Seriously? Ordered 5 items and they give you 2 forks? Are we suppose to eat with our hands, is that how you eat? We are here visiting from Cali, am I suppose to have utensils and plates with me? The lady in the front was super rude! We asked for one extra plate and she told us she doesn't have it. Asked her if she had Togo boxes and she said no. How the heck is she packing Togo orders??? Not sure if she is having a bad day or if she is on her rag but we as customers are paying you to serve us otherwise you wouldn't have a job. Pretty sure your going to be furloughed as Florida should be shutting back down again. Appreciate that you have a job and treat others the way you want to be treated. I don't venture down to the Lake Buena Vista area very often, but for those times I do it's nice to have the Sofrito Latin Cafe as a great, non-chain option. Before arriving, I thought Sofrito was a table service restaurant, but upon entering the restaurant they make it clear that you order at the counter. Not only is it spelled out on the wall, but a nice employee also welcomed us and explained the concept. I liked the cute menu boards and how the menu lists the originating country for each item. We aked the employee for an appetizer recommendation that's good for sharing and he suggested the guava and cheese mini tequenos. I ordered a media noche and my friend ordered a Cuban sandwich. The tequenos were good to try but an unnecessary addition to the meal considering the size of the sandwiches. I was full but the media noche was so good that I couldn't stop eating! My friend also enjoyed her Cuban. Next time I go back I'd like to try one of the plates. read more

This was a great stop for us as we were passing through the Orlando area. The Wedge Salad was delicious but big so I'm very glad we split it. Even so, we could only finish half of our sandwiches. Our family is here for a week on a disney world trip. I found this place searching for dinner and im so glad we came across it! My husband is from Nicaragua and has a true heart for food, especially latin food and his mom who can be a food critic enjoyed everything she ordered which was a big plus. It offers a variety of Caribbean dishes that lots of latin cultures share. We shared it with our family who will be getting lunch there tomorrow. I know they wont be disappointed. They also offer a kids menu. Chicken trips were made of scratch and my kids devoured them. Thank you. It was a little busy when we went in to pick up our order. If you have an order you're picking up and it's packed at the ordering desk in the front of the restaurant, go to the bar and ask if you need to wait. I am sure someone will help. The decor is wonderful (heck, hire a hostess and this is a nice sit down restaurant). Exposed brick, Edison lights, nice tables. The churrasco was wonderful. Perfectly cooked with a wonderful chimichurri sauce. The shrimp were also perfectly prepared. Entrees all come with three sides, which is a huge serving. Beans and rice were excellent - the red beans won over black beans, the white rice over yellow. Sweet plantains were excellent, especially with a bit of chimichurri sauce.
