I recently moved back into Maine in June and I was craving calzones last night. There isn't any delivery places for Baldwin Maine but Cornish is close and Sofia's offered curbside pickup which appealed to me for making my Order. I did think the prices were a touch on the high side however the quality of what I got for what I paid was out of this world! Everything was seasoned right snd lots of flavor. Steak calzones have a tendency to run bland, but not this one.. I couldn't resist trying a piece before I got home it smelled so good and I was pretty hungry by this time. I've never experienced a crispy calzone crust like this one which was to die for and the sauce omg so good I was liking my fingers. The staff were pleasant even tho poor cell service to the establishment while trying to order. I'm definitely going back and trying other things. This place is so good. I think one of the best subs I've ever had. Mostly women run (from what I could tell) and they all hustle and work so hard. Very friendly and efficient. We go once a summer when we visit the area and will continue to go. My husband said it's the best steak sub he's ever had. read more

I had a salad from here 2 nights ago and was very disappointed. It seems they are leaving out ingredients that use to be on them. No croutons, no olives, and the lettuce under the layer of green lettuce on the top is where they get rid of the yellow or white lettuce. I do not plan to buy another salad there. read more

Visiting from Texas and decided to eat at Sophia's Pizza & Roast Beef - so glad we did! As soon as you walk in, you know the food is going to taste great. We had a large pizza, onion rings and fries. Everything was awesome!! There were eight hard-working employees going full-tilt the entire time we were there and they were all pleasant and efficient. I love sophia's! A tiny hole in the wall that is family owned and operated. They have the best pizza around with my favoites being the Greek inspired one with pesto, feta, Greek olives, tomatoes, and spinach. They also have a delicious Casablanca that's white Alfredo sauce with chicken, garlic and red onion. The onion rings are deep fried, greasy, and delicious! The chicken Parmesan sub is also awesome and huge! Cute place with only about 6 booths inside, but has a drive up window for take out. read more

What some of these other reviews said about the pizza is point on! I am not from the area and stopping by this place was a 50/50 shot but WOW ---we were blown away. The entire vacation that we were in Maine we did not cook once. There was nothing on the menu we didn't love and for a little mom and pop shop place- kudos to them! Staff was extremely friendly and never waited more than 15-20 minutes for the orders! The kids loved the pizza and the wings! Today I went into Sofias and asked the nice girls at the counter for an application since I had seen the help wanted sign on the window. They said they needed someone for up front. A man (must have been the owner) pulled me to the side to ask me some questions. He asked if I had experience in a pizza place. I said no but I had worked in an Italian restaurant that's almost 5 stars in Conway. I mostly did hostessing but I did a little bit of everything else. He said that "it wouldn't work" and told me he didn't want me to get my hopes up. He was very rude and it seemed as if he didn't hear anything I said. Sofia's is the place to go if you want fast, yummy food! The specialty pizzas are delicious! My family orders out from Sofia's often and we pick up at the drive-through window. The food is usually consistent, a few mess-ups here and there but nothing major. My only complaints are that the salads are sometimes missing croutons and they don't put a couple of Greek olives in them like they use to. Also the lettuce for sandwiches and wraps is shredded way to fine and possibly still wet from washing. It makes heated subs and wraps soggy. Overall I love Sofia's! The steak and cheese and fries are must haves! The specialty pizzas are great! Try them all you won't be disappointed! read more

The BEST pizza I have EVER had! I often pick some up for me and coworkers when headed into work. Their specialty pizzas are to die for, especially the Casablanca and Hawaiian. I have never ordered anything that I did not like. Everyone looking for some pizza should trek out to Cornish, ME and go to Sofias. I just recently started using the drive-thru pick up window when I call ahead and it def helps to save some time when driving to work. read more

My recent experiences have been disappointing. The food has been excessively greasy and the ingredients are obviously not of the same quality they once were. I doubt that I will return. The local House of Pizza has provided a far superior meal consistently. read more

Horrible customer service. Was quoted 25 minutes show up after the 25 minutes paid for my food and was told to drive around the building to the pick up window again as my order wasn't ready yet. Get to the window for the second time and was told my order was never put in and that I needed to pull up and wait. Then was asked if I would like a refund I said sure was given a refund then was told my order was canceled and I wouldn't receive my food. After waiting well passed the time I was quoted I obviously still wanted my food and was never told my order would be canceled if receiving a refund. I was then asked to pay at least half to receive my food. I understand they were busy that's no problem but the customer service I received was just appalling. The two young ladies were very respectful and then the next two older folks who I'm assuming manage the place were extremely disrespectful and did not handle things in a professional manner. Go to Sacopee House of Pizza they aren't rude over there! For a $30 order they should have just comped the bill for the mishap and carried on. Normally this place is great. However, tonight it is slower then death. I know I placed an order during a busy time. But when you place an order at 612 pm and you still haven't recieved your order an hour later. There is a major problem. The food is always great, without a doubt, but the girls who work there sometimes dress VERY inappropriately. They should wear uniforms instead of looking so unprofessional with their short, short shorts and barely-there tops. Sofia's used to be our towns go-to for amazing pizza, roast beef, subs, salads, et-c, now it is nothing but disappointment. I've lived in the area since I was born and growing up Sofia's was our Friday night go-to, the food was great, reasonably priced, and always what you asked for. Over the years the boss has gotten very greedy and has raised the price of everything (a large finger is almost 13$!) and the quality is not nearly as good. If you ask for something well done chances are it will come out basically raw. If it's busy they're just trying to push food out and don't care about taking the time to make sure everyone's order is correct. You ask for Caesar dressing for a salad and you get no dressing. You ask for 2 Marinara and you get one. There are occasions when you'll order here and everything will be just as you asked, but it's very rare. Over all it's not worth taking the chance given the prices are so high. We stopped there tonight and I asked for well done fries and onion rings and they were soggy and undercooked. I've gotten the fingers every time I've been here since I was a kid and they're not as dark as normal and clearly underdone. Just want to emphasize on how downhill it's gone because it really used to be amazing. Wish they would lower the prices and focus on accuracy and not how much money they can make in one night. On top of it all I used to work here so I know how it goes. However they do keep it very clean and food is stored appropriately, so there's a plus there! read more

Our favorite pizza place in town. Consistently good food and service. I have ordered from them dozens of times. The grilled chicken salads are excellent. Chicken is seasoned just right, and the salad is more than just lettuce and tomatoes they have celery, carrots, onion, cucumber, and more in them. I recommend the pizza over a calzone. Eggplant subs are good too. Their eggplant is cooked well, not under done like most places. Nice job Sofia's! Keep it up. read more

After reading the great reviews on the chicken parm subs, it got me craving. so i decided to try sophias. I was hugely dissappointed. the chicken parm was more like chicken finger parm. all i tasted was breading. if i want a chicken parm, i want a cutlet..... the portion was ample, but i was not expecting an ample amopunt of mediocre food..... my wife had the onion and pepper pizza and she wasnt impressed either..... doubtful that we will be headed back any time soon..... read more

There's isn't one thing on the menu at Sofia's that isn't delicious. Particularly the specialty pizzas!! The Buffalo chicken pizza, bbq chicken pizza and the chicken cordon blue pizza are the best! The only complaint is that their staff seems very cranky, assuming it's from working in such a hectic small space! read more

The last 5 or 6 time we have ordered from Sofia's it seems like they can't get the orders right. If I said "no onion" there are onions. Or even forget the side salad all together. If I say "no cheese" there is cheese. They can't seem to get it right. Very frustrating when it is take out and you can't just go up to the counter for them to fix it. read more
