Scott was wonderful and helpful through the entire experience of buying a sofa. Actually, we bought two identical sofas. We looked at a number of furniture stores and liked something at PB. To change the fabric and make it custom to us was going to take 12 to 16 weeks. After talking to Scott we got a better sofa, cheaper, custom sized, and in less than two weeks. I can't say that your sofa would be that quick but it was helpful for me. I will be going back for a leather chair and ottoman. I do want to point out that these are custom couches. Every aspect of them was a decision that we could make. This included width, seat depth, seat height, arm shape, arm height, back slope, back height, cushion firmness for both seat and back, and fabric. These decisions take some time so be prepared. We went initially with our daughter and needed to come back later without her. Scott was patient and knowledgable from beginning to end. He really was supportive and great at reading body language and facial cues from my wife and myself. He could tell what fit us and what did not. He gave us every option and walked us through what would be the best couch for us. The workmanship on the couches is excellent. Scott called on a Friday when they were ready and they were delivered in about an hour. The guys that dropped them off set everything up and moved other furniture for us to make room. I later got a followup call from Scott to make sure that I was happy with everything. read more

I just got my sectional delivered to me last week and all I can say is WOW, it is so beautiful. But getting ahead of myself I want to acknowledge how smooth and great this entire process was. I found Sofa Interiors on google in desperation. I had been looking for a company that could create the exact couch I had pictured in my head but many of the sofa companies were giving me a 14-18 week delivery time frame due to Covid. I continued to search online for the company that could fulfill my needs and do it within a timely manner, which is when a google search led me to find Scott at Sofa Interiors. He was extremely professional when I called over the phone and was able to schedule an appointment with him the very next day. Upon meeting Scott, he greeted me by name and had such a warm and sweet personality. Scott is so knowledgeable about what he does and provided me with a lot of information that I did not even know that I needed to know when it came to buying a sofa. He was very detail oriented and we spent over 2 hours getting all of the specifications perfect for my new sofa. I was able to try out different cushions in the warehouse so that I could pick the firmness of my sofa, customize sizing of different parts of the sofa, and pick out the exact material I wanted (there are hundreds to choose from!) I basically created my sofa from scratch. After ironing out all of the details I was told it would be delivered within 3-4 weeks. He was extremely responsive to me throughout the course of me waiting for it to be delivered. I got a call last week notifying me that my sofa would be delivered Friday. Scott and another employee at sofa interiors delivered the couch personally and the sofa was assembled by them when they got here, delivery and assembly was quick and easy. When assembly was complete I was so pleased to see that Scott had brought my vision to life and the couch was exactly what I had wanted (this says a lot because I am a woman who is very particular about what I want), the material is beautiful and the sofa is so comfortable! The quote over the phone was not much different from others. I decided to go there only because it was the closest place. He said they could let me have a more expensive fabric, but my chairs wouldn't be ready for two weeks. Didn't really want to wait, but I agreed. When I picked up the chairs, I realized how good a deal it really was. The high quality was more than worth the extra wait. I am VERY picky with designs, so I decided to design my own sofa from scratch and take it to Sofa Interiors to build it custom made. The entire experience was just great! Scott and his team carefully listen and took notes of exactly what I wanted from height of de arm rest, to quality of foam and type of fabric - they nailed every single specification! They were always available to answer my questions and provide me with their expert advice. Time and price are reasonable for a custom made set of sofas! I thought about ordering the fabric online but Scott's price on his fabric in stock was equally competitive, so I ended up going with a nice natural canvas that he carries. They picked up my sofa in order to do a precise fit, and had it delivered back to me with its new slipcover in 72 hours! I needed my sofa cushions restuffed and know nothing about it. Scott was very helpful describing the different types I could get and the differences in cost. When I went in he had me sit on a few cushions to determine the firmness, and explained how mine would be with that degree of stuffing. He ordered it and gave me a very good price. My reupholstered couch didn't come out good ... it came out AMAZING!!! I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back. Scott and his craftsmen get an A+. Scott reupholstered a tired but loved tan leather chair and transformed it into a red leather masterpiece to be enjoyed for another 20 years! Scott mirrored the stitching on this Larry Laslo designed chair and carefully reconstructed the legs as well as repadded the back and seat cushion. Wow! Great service too! I chose this business based on all the 5-star reviews! So what happened??? I emailed Scott photos of my mid-century couch to recover and he gave my husband a very rough ballpark estimate over the phone. Scott asked us to come in and look at fabrics, test cushion thickness, etc., so we dropped by today (roughly 2 weeks later) without making an appointment and brought one of the couch cushions with us. Unfortunately we arrived while he was still consulting with another customer, but the place was VERY causal with workers working right there near where we waited. Scott's assistant, Mary, said he remembered my email and would be right with us. We waited 45 MINUTES. Mary was very nice and told us the customer he was dealing with had ALREADY been there for 2 HOURS prior to our arrival. My husband and I both very politely peeked in twice to let him know we were still waiting and he kept saying "5 more minutes." My husband even offered to come back at another time and Scott still said no, he had time for us. Another 15 minutes went by so I told him we were leaving. The old lady he was dealing with snapped at me and said "I'm leaving in 5 minutes anyway!" Well, too late for that. Never once in over an hour (AN HOUR!! 60 minutes we waited!!) did Scott come out of his office to at least extend us any customer courtesy, apologize for our wait, talk to us in person, or ask that we reschedule. He simply kept chatting with the old lady (I could hear their conversation as we were waiting right outside the office). I understand he was perhaps busy, but I figured if he treated new customers by making them wait for over an hour, how long was he going to take to recover a couch? He has my email address and hasn't even bothered to email me and ask that we schedule an appointment to come back. I am not a rude or belligerent or demanding person AT ALL, and we waited patiently for an hour for this guy---Mary can even witness to this. Sorry to post a negative review as I was hoping to get my couch recovered as well as 3 other furniture pieces, but I will be going elsewhere. I do not understand how we were treated so horribly with all the great reviews posted here :( read more

I didn't realize how good it could be to get a custom couch made for us. I will never get a couch again at a regular furniture store. Scott, who is one of the owners, provided us the best customer service. He spent a lot of time with us (like 2 hours) going over all the various options and ways to customize. We were able to choose exactly what we wanted as he educated us on all the possibilities. I specified the depth and length of not only the couch, but also the cushions on the back (I wanted them taller for my head) as well as the ottoman sizes. And he showed me the various options ranging from soft to very firm for the bottom and back cushions, as well as how to combine things to get the optimal support for my situation. He even had me try other models in the warehouse to make sure I was satisfied in my choice. And finally I was able to get a long single cushion to sit on instead of having three cushions with cracks that get filled with crumbs and are annoying. I also think his price was very reasonable for the level of customer service, customization, and quality of the product I received. For the same couch, which wouldn't even exist in a normal furniture store, I'm sure I would have paid a similar price. I have back issues and I work on my couch on my laptop for hours, so it was really important to finally get the couch of my dreams...and Scott delivered it! Thanks! read more

Scott and his team are pros. They custom made sofas and ottomans for us in 2005 and we've been very happy with them. Recently, we decided to have them replace the foam cores (down wrapped) on the seat cushions, tighten up the stretched out chenille fabric on the back cushions, and make a new window seat cushion. Working with Scott is a breeze - - he listens, makes suggestions, and meets deadlines. Now we feel like we have 'new' sofas. He was very honest up front about the costs of the job, even to the point of recommending a less expensive option based on how much longer I was going to be keeping the couch. I found Scott of Sofa Interiors while reading reviews for furniture refinishers. Based on his reply to my emails, he sounded professional. Well I can tell you now, he's more than professional, he takes a personal interest in each project that he does. First he had us come to his shop to determine stain colors and then took one of our chairs to provide a sample before actually refinishing the entire dining room set. We were changing from Walnut to Expresso. He sent a truck with 2 workers to pick up our furniture, which was quite heavy. They were clean, attentive and professional as well. The same men returned our completed dining room set 10 days later and it looked magnificent. Not only does Scott refinish furniture but while we were at his shop, we noticed that he also does custom Couches, sofas and chairs people find at other show rooms, with better materials for less money! You can bet when we need to replace our couches and chairs we will see Scott! read more

This review is long overdue. I brought in two sofa back pillows to be re-stuffed. The down feathers were poking through the fabric and stabbing us to death. I wanted a poly-fill replacement. When I picked them up they were extremely stiff and tightly filled. The man who checked me out said it would soften up with use. I don't want to argue or deal with it and trusted his judgement like a fool. Fast forward several months and I finally decided to unzip the cushions and see what was going on inside since we were still being stabbed and they were still as stiff as the day I brought them home. When I wrestled them out I discovered a filler pillow eight inches longer than the outer shell. It had been tightly shoved inside thus the stiff cushion. Additionally for some bizarre reason the poly fill was mixed with down feathers like it had been shoved in a blender. WTF!!?? Tons of feathers that I didn't want in the first place. Paid 130.00 for nothing!! Thanks loads!! read more

I didn't want to go from place to place, so when I googled Reupholster/Glendale area and found Sofa Interiors the closest to my home I went there first (instead of Eagle Rock or La Canada). Plus the Yelp reviews really helped. Scott is so knowledgeable and has been in the business for three decades. HE went right to the fabric we eventually used, from the bolts on his wall (I narrowed it down to three) and agreed his choice was best. I brought my sofa pillow in and he matched it perfectly for the two chairs he just did for us (a beautiful chenille). I felt his quote was reasonable and the turnaround time good too. I spent a few hours in Scott's shop looking at all his fabrics instead of going downtown LA because he has so much to choose from and I just wanted to get started on this project. The chairs came out beautiful and we will be going back for 8 dining room chairs to be done and living room furniture too (to buy). Go see Scott before you reupholster anything! We had a our sofa designed and made at Sofa Interiors. We first went to the Studio City showroom and spoke with a woman that was ok, but not too knowledgeable. We decided we liked the sofas we saw, so we decided to go to the factory to see and learn more. We met Scott, who was very kind with his time and information. We ordered our sofa: foam seats of wrapped in down. Comfortable, durable, nice! Our sofa was delivered, but seemed too hard, so we took the pillows back and they were wrapped in additinal down - at an additional cost, of course. We experienced feather spines coming through to the surface, and we called the factory. We were told that we needed to bring in the seats to recover them in a tighter weave fabric. More money. When I felt the spines poking through once again, in later months, I opened a pillow and feathers flew! I know what down feels and looks like; these are feathers! It is now several years since we purchased our sofa at a total of $3000 +, and when I vaccum it I again have more and more loose feathers. When I asked if a representative would please come out and see what we were experiening, I was told to bring the sofa in! Seriously? We live in the same city! We like the design and the construction of the sofa, but the materials are not first class. We could have gone to a higher quality level furniture store and paid the same amount for a first quality piece, but we were excited to have something made for us. If you decide to go with this company, stick to the foam and other kinds of wrapping, otherwise you will spend many times, being pocked by feathers coming through, and vaccuming more feathers that if you owned a chicken coop! At least you would have eggs to boot! read more
