We wanted to go with the bossam (pics look so good) but our event was held after lunchtime/light bites so we opted for the taco bar, which was also amazing. Nonstop compliments from friends and family regarding the food. Presentation was just lovely too. Hard to accomplish great taste, price, authenticity, AND presentation but Chubby Fingers rocked it all. Other items ordered that I didn't get good photos of (all was v delicious): - Yuzu tomato salad (so refreshing, wish I could make this at home) - Gochujang glazed veggies - Elote - Japchae P.S. I'm just remembering how wonderful the tacos were, especially the tortilla. Corn and soft, this is NOT your typical grocery store purchase. I think they source it from a legit Latina market. That's what I mean by authenticity. For all our dishes, they got both Korean and Mexican cuisines right. Chubby Fingers brings the real deal.

Best decision for our Reception/Baby Shower! (Incredible value & taste)…read more Chubby Fingers catered our event and it was absolutely wonderful! OMG... as I'm writing this, I'm still craving the food we had that day from Chubby Fingers! After doing multiple tastings with other caterers, we chose them for their generous portions and amazing value at a very competitive price point. Why we chose them: Before choosing them, we actually met with several other caterers and even did tastings to compare our options. What really stood out about Chubby Fingers was how generous and abundant their offerings were at a very similar price point. The value honestly surprised us in the best way. The Experience (Catering Drop-off): We ended up doing a catering drop-off, and even with that setup, you could truly feel the care and thought they put into everything. The presentation was beautiful and everything was packed so nicely -- it still felt very special and intentional. The Food (The highlight of our day!): On the day of the event, the food completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our guests kept complimenting the food throughout the event, and several people even came up to ask where we found the caterer because they wanted the information for their own events. Our Menu Highlights: 1. Chubs Bossam: Slow-roasted caramelized pork shoulder with ssam bar (perilla leaves, lettuce, and samjang). Absolute hit! 2. Japchae: Korean sweet potato glass noodles with mushrooms and vegetables. 3. Gochujang Glazed Veggies: Roasted market vegetables with a subtle, delicious gochujang glaze. 4.Yuzu Tomato Salad: Heirloom tomatoes with greens and a refreshing yuzu vinaigrette (so fresh!). and the White Rice was included! The team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day special. I'm so sad I didn't take more photos, I was so busy hosting and enjoying the event, but the presentation in person looked even better than the photos!) If you're planning an event, do yourself a favor and book Chubby Fingers--you won't regret it! I truly can't recommend them enough if you want to impress your guests!

Our guests raved about the food. During the cocktail hour the passed appetizers were hot and delicious (this is according to the guests since I was working with room with my husband saying hello to everyone). A favorite was the fried raviolis. There were plenty of wait staff with trays and guests were able to try everything. The entrees were served quickly and I heard from so many how much they liked the meal. The glazed carrots were cooked perfectly. The fried dough towards the end of the night was perfect and went quickly as guests are ready for a round of snacks by then. The views at sunset at Meerimack Valley Golf Club were gorgeous and we were able to take pictures on the deck overlooking the golf course. We had our ceremony upstairs with the sun coming down. Breathtaking is the only word to describe the backdrop. Carissa worked with us from our first visit to the club right up through the wedding. She and Sam made sure all of my questions were answered, that every detail was taken care of and that our wedding was exactly what we imagined. Hello Taco Tuesday errr Egg Roll Tuesday?!…read more I'm usually all about the Birria Tacos on Tuesday but I'm loving Birria Egg Rolls by L.A Birria! L.A Birria can now be found at Food Culture LA in Torrance and I couldn't be happier. I was thrilled to be able to check out this Birria stall at the Food Culture LA food hub. Their Birria menu is filled with so much Birria delights such as Birria tacos, Birria quesadillas and even Birria ramen. It was the Birria egg rolls that won me over. The Birria egg rolls are 2 for $6 or 4 for $10.99. Pro tip: do yourself a favor and get 4! You not only save a little but you'll get to indulge in some unique and delicious egg rolls. With a golden brown wrapper on the outside and cheese coated inside filled with tender birria; it's hard not to love their Birria Egg Rolls! I also tried their Birria taco for $2.75 and thought it was good as well. They give a good amount of Birria beef and so it is a quite fulfilling taco. One thing to note is consome is extra $2 for an 8oz cup and does not come with the meal. I definitely want to try more items from L.A Birria. I am curious to try their Birria Ramen as well as their Birria Quedadillas. L.A Birria is at Food Culture LA every day from 6pm to 11pm. On Saturdays they are also trying out earlier start times at lunch.
