I love candy. I have always had a special place in my heart for all things sweet, but especially sour. I've been wanting to check this place out for a few months, and my other candy loving pals agreed to come with me. The overall aesthetic is clean and bright. I loved the candy options- if you like gummies this is the place for you. The drawers are a bit hard to open and seem flimsy. I wish each selection had a separate opening, but I suppose this makes sense when plenty of people are selecting. Customer service was friendly and informative. A lot of signs were missing above certain items, but the associates were quick to tell me what things were. Candy was yummy, and check out was a breeze. I will be back again! read more

Delicious! And so much better than any other candy shop experience. Candy tastes clean and light. It's a fun treat and everything is new.

So amazing! All candies are labeled if they contain gelatin, gluten, dairy, or nuts. A bit pricy, but it is worth it!

Sockerbit your are so yummy! A little expensive, but i definitely crave the chocolate discs and fruit gummys. I have a request PLEASE stay open later, 9pm closing is too early for a candy shop :) read more

Never again- infested with ROACHES!!!! I have been to this location a few times, as my daughter loves to stop by for the experience of picking candy out. The candy is average, and the employees are usually not very nice with the exception of one younger girl who was a sweetheart that we encountered once. One particular employee we have encountered a few times, and he makes you feel like he doesn't want you there despite spending $13/lb. Now reading the other Yelp reviews, I think it might be a race thing, because we have always been well behaved polite customers. I have never been a fan of this place for the way I have seen him look at us with thinly veiled disgust, but feel reassured I was not imagining things, because there have been a couple of times I have gotten the hatred vibe despite us just picking out candy, minding our business, spending money at the store; I never allowed my child to even touch the bins, only point out what she wants, and pay for what we picked, so there is absolutely no reason for him to act this way toward us. A particular incident we were just picking out flavors, and he came up to us and asked us if there was anything else we needed, kind of like we needed to leave and he didn't want us in the store. It was maybe 4 minutes after we came in, and we were kind of startled and just said no we didn't need the help. Other times he would sit at the cash register and watch us very carefully. I may seem like a fool to have patronized the store after the first time, but was honestly trying to excuse it before reading that others had had similar stories. On top of the roaches, this is a good enough reason for people of color to not patronize this store at all, because it seems we and our money aren't wanted there. What drove me to write this review is that the other day we went in, and we saw a roach skittering past us. Okay, it's a city, it happens. I waited and looked a little closer and saw SEVERAL roaches coming from behind the bins. The fact that the bins are not even fully sealed, but just open by a little sliding door is disgusting. We saw a bug crawl up the side and make its way into one. It was bad enough that even my 4 year old didn't want her candy, and I had to do no convincing for us to leave. I will never allow my child to eat there, and if the infestation is visible then I can not even imagine how many are coming out at night, and how many may crawling in the candy people are eating. This place is truly disgusting on many levels. read more

This place is great! So fun with so many candy options. I am partial to the chewy sour ones - the cola varieties are great! Brightly lit, simple process, and nice workers who always greet you with a smile. If you like candy, you'll love it here. read more

Amazing candy! All imported, mostly from Sweden. Corn syrup and GMO free! $12.99/lb. The owners are very sweet people.

I am in LOVE with this candy store!! I usually pop in every couple weeks to grab a bag of licorice, sour gummies and milk chocolates. Unfortunately, I spend way too much money each time, but it's well worth it for the amount of pleasure received. The staff is always helpful and friendly, the candy variety and quality are superb, and the location near 3rd & Fairfax can't be beat! read more

The place is clean and the staff very helpful. The lady there answered all my questions and there are blurbs next to the candy explaining what everything is. The candy itself is delicious. Lots of variety. I hope this store is around for a long time. read more

My husband is Swedish and all I can say is he can't get enough. I am thrilled at how healthy the product is, considering it is candy ;) The staff is friendly and helpful and it was a lifesaver at Christmas as Olsen's and Schoop's both have ceased business in 1 place or another. read more

Love the candies but hate the fact that they are lying/hiding about the candies being free from high fructose syrup or gmo. Ask for the ingredients list and you'll see. read more

I was born in Sweden and I love walking into this white wall and candy filled bin of the most heavenly candy you can get on this side of the globe!! The fact they are not GMO and no corn syrup is a huge huge plus, the truth is the candy is just beautiful to look at and even better to eat! read more

Love this shop! Colorful and lots of vegan options as well as bring non gmo, however I'm not sure that's verified. If you like gummy candy, this place is your place. Fun stop on our vacation. read more

Some reviewers have never had natural candy. No preservatives and no high fructose corn syrup means the candies dry out easier and get a big hard. Scandinavians love chewing on hard gummies and candies, it is perfectly normal and how candy gets if it has no added emulsifiers or preservatives. I've been here dozens of times and their candy is always good. read more

Most of the chocolates were actually Finnish which was awesome!! Love this place!!

If you diabetic you should stay away from these place because candy so good you going to die there eating it. Oh my gawd.

Really delicious candies and cute store. I've only tried the gummies, and my favorites are any of the cola-flavored ones. The sour ones are super sour. A little pricy (by the pound), but a little bag's worth is enough to satisfy given how good they are. There's some free residential parking around the area if you can't find street parking. read more

i really enjoy the candy that they sell here! Sockerbit's selection is great and they offer such delicious candies. They taste so great and are priced very fairly. read more

I am a candy addict. It's a real problem, but I do absolutely nothing about it except stuff myself with more candy. My cousin showed me this place when we were grabbing dinner at Mercado right next door. I'm the type of person that doesn't like soft chewy candy. I like the stale tasting, super super chewy candy. I know it's weird, but I purposely buy old candy because I love the chewiness of it. Anyways, while I was here my cousin introduced me to the miraculous sour wrenches (I don't actually know the name, but they look like wrenches). They changed my life. Hard to bite into but so chewy, I can't explain it. And it's sour and delicious and it might be my new favorite candy ever.. maybe. In the last two times I've been there, they haven't had this one out in the display, but if you just ask someone working if they have the "red sour wrenches" they will happily go in the back and bring you out a box to scoop from! This is actually the only candy I really like here, but I do throw in 2-3 skulls for a change of flavor. I wasn't a fan of their other options because they're the swedish fish type of texture where you can bite right through the gummies - not my thing, but if it's yours this place will be your candy heaven. Ultimately, let's just say this, I hate paying for parking. It makes me cranky. But I looked and paid for parking just to spend literally 3 minutes in here to buy candy. read more

The best candy shop -- ha en söt dag

NOTE: THIS PLACE IS NOT LOCATED IN THE GROVE OR THE FARMERS MARKET. IT'S ACROSS THE STREET FROM TRADER JOES. Went here on a Sunday after brunch since their candies look amazing from the pictures other Yelpers are posting. The candy store is very clean and modern looking with a good variety of candies to choose from. I went ahead and got an assortment of both chocolates and gummy candies which they offered. The chocolates there are just what you would expect from European chocolates, rich creamy, and very much melt in your mouth as it can get. I went ahead and got the chocolate covered caramels which they carry, and these M&M like ones which are larger and have a harder shell. As for the gummy choices, I got just the cola bottles and their strawberry sour straws. I prefer the American cola gummy over theirs since it texture isn't as chewy as what you can find here. As for the strawberry straws I found them more tasty then the ones you can get at the Sweet factory or any other candy store. The store also carries hand made marshmallows and chocolate cover ones, these are so good that I wish I had filled a bag up with just those. If you're by the grove and want something different from what you would find at an American candy shop check this place out, you won't be disappointed. read more

The store is quite clean and they have several licorice based candies. I love how there are several note cards with descriptions for most of the foreign candies. The best part is that they have organic elder flower soda!!! read more

Skip the artificial candy at the Grove and head over to this divine Swedish candy store. Candy Perfection! Plus, super helpful and friendly staff. read more

This place is super cool. I have never been to a candy store like this before. They offer a variety of different candies and they are not made using artificial color or sweeteners. My personal favorite was a hazelnut chocolate candy and the sour strawberry roll. They also have a lot of fun gummies to choose from like fake teeth, skulls, and sheriff badges. I would definitely go back when I am in LA. read more

When you get a sweet tooth and need a serious sugar fix Sockerbit is your destination! All their sweets are made with real sugar and contain no high fructose corn syrup! I also love the fact that they label each candy with allergy information. So you can easily avoid gluten, soy, dairy, and gelatin. The layout is clean and there's always an employee there that can help you. read more

I'd give this place a 3 if it weren't for the well thought out ingredients. That is a big deal for me..to find places where I'm not putting chemicals and GMOs into my body. So up a star you go Sockerbit. So why 3 stars without that? Taste alone...which is super relative and personal, I know. I tried probably 15 different candies and almost all tasted hmmm I have no better word than cheap. Not even like grocery story candy cheap, which I sometimes have a craving for. Like the candy you got as a kid at Halloween that you then try to pawn off to your younger sibling in what you swear is a fair trade for their Snickers. The fudge tasted like candy corn which I didn't think was even possible and all the (not sugar coated) gummies taste waxy...yes I know Swedish fish is waxy tasting and I'm in a Swedish candy store so I should shut up. But can't we leave the wax just to the Swedish fish, why Sweden is all your gummy candy waxy.?! Overall the chocolates were nothing special. Especially for that price there are places in town to get some seriously good chocolate. The jellybeans again childhood memories of bad Easter basket jellybeans. With that said "sort of highlights" for me were the chocolate caramels which were a tastier rolo, all the sugar coated gummies (especially the watermelon), and the blue and red sour skulls (I can't remember flavor...raspberry?). I'd pop by again if I was already in the area and buy those three, but when I try 15 and get 3 I like that's a 20% hit mark, I'd first seek out other stores where I like all the candy in the future. read more

Didn't care much for the taste of their gummy candies. Didn't try others. Paid $8 for a few pieces of candy and threw most of it away. There are definitely better candy shops in town. Also hard to find parking. read more

BEST candy ever. All natural - come on Mom's check it out! I love it and my daughter loves it. FUN store, really nice employees and fair per pound price. Ya gotta go!!! read more

Recently ordered $70 worth of this because of all the positive reviews on yelp and YouTube. Let me tell you, DON'T waste your money. Talk about stale marshmallows and cheap tasting candy in general. I understand that it's "healthy" and what not, but seriously, NOT worth it. Chocolates were basic, I mean tootsie roll kind of basic. (They look fancy but taste like butt) The sweet mix candies were basically hard, colorful gelatin with splenda instead of sugar. The sour mix candies tasted like ear wax with sour sprinkles. (Don't ask don't tell). Black licorice was TERRIBLE. I am one of the few people who actually likes the stuff. but THIS stuff right here was beyond NASTY. (As well as SWEATY in the bag it comes in) But seriously I cannot stress this enough, DONT BUY THEM. Just go buy a snickers for a buck, total upgrade if you ask me. NOT worth the hype. read more

I love this place! A beautiful young lady named Kendra helped me out and gave me all the details about the place! She was so sweet and very helpful. The candy was super delicious. I recommend this place when you want a sweet little treat! read more

Delicious Swedish candy made with real ingredients! No corn syrups, artificial coloring or refined sugars.

Sockerbit is a family favorite. We can each choose a personalised assortment of sweets and feel good about the fact that they do not use GMOs or unnecessary plastic. Additionally, they have supported my daughter's school generously and are very supportive of the neighborhood community (of which the school is a part). Delicious in all ways. Thank you, Sokerbit! read more
