There's so much to do at the library. From story time to craft days and teen days. We shouldn't…read morediscourage teens from enjoying the library. They have a safe place to hang out instead of running around out in the streets. Maybe once in a while they grab a book and that's great for the youth. The library is organized. The librarians are very helpful and nice. There are cute activities for the kids to do daily, from reading, coloring, playing with the felt, blocks, and hiding out in the tree house nook. There is a used book store inside that I'm dying to check out but always forget because they open on Mondays. There's computers to use on site and you can print papers if needed. There is a small playground outside to take the kids too. Please get a library card, it's never too late to read and never too late to encourage the youth to do the same!

I came here after school once and say in the teen area(where I should be) and a staff came over and told me to move to the kids section and she made a scen. She told me to leave or she was gonna have them escort me out and I told her that I infact was in the right place, luckily her co-worker told her to look me up in the system to find out I actually was. She didn't apologize though, she just insisting I looked to young to be my age which I thought was just not needed. That's only one of the few incidents that has happened.

I know that the USPS has many flaws and needs to figure…read moreout how to more efficiently run the organization but as far as this office goes, they have consistently good customer service, which is a rarity in any business. I ship way too much (family, troops, random packages of goodies) so I spend a lot of time here. Almost all the clerks are patient and helpful and a few times they have made suggestions that saved me a few bucks. A couple of the clerks are real kooky characters, just as you would expect from any government institution (see DMV) and the customers are often right up the same freaky alley. Maybe that is why I like this post office so much, the freaks don't just come out at night, at the USPS Ballard, they are there all day long.
