The wait was unbelievably long, and after wasting most of my day there, I still didn't receive any help. The process is slow, disorganized, and incredibly frustrating. They kept calling numbers that is not in the lobby for screening which makes no sense they just waste time for no reason and after I spent hours there they called my number and give me a piece of paper to schedule an appointment unbelievable. read more

Came here with my mom to take care of some stuff. Got there an hour before opening. Got in and within 10 minutes was gone. Kindness goes a long way. Be nice to these people. They're doing their best with limited people. I don't get why people are so rude and entitled here. The online reservation system and in office wait list were not communicating. I waited nearly 2 hours after my appointment before they realized that I should have been seen way earlier. No individual workers fault but it still was quite annoying. read more

Wait time was considered lower than usual. Seems accurate as I read/heard 2-3 hrs is typical and our wait time was 90mins (Wednesday around 1215pm) it was funny when people would come in ask the wait time hear 90mins then leave like you think it'll ever be less guys ? Haha no... people start lining up outside at 8am latest for opening at 9am. Unless will never not wait atleast 60-90mins. But sure come back when its 3hrs lol. I don't think people do their research or plan like I do smooth process overall (updated name on SS card) and a fyi you cannot make an appointment. That was only a special COVID yr thing. This place is the worst, never been treated so horribly. Too long of a story but this office has not lifted one finger to help us. left messages for months to the employee that processed our SS form, never, never calls back and nobody else will do a thing to help. Lots of promises to follow up, nothing. The national office won't help, says the local office needs to but they won't do a thing... The money is for supporting my niece we have been raising for 8 years and they cut her off at 18, they are still suppose to collect till they graduate. My niece went in to the Lynnwood office, thinking maybe that would help, with my husband .The man that they talked with told my husband nothing was really is his business or concern and didn't want to talk to him at all. He told our niece, she should put the money away when they get it, if ever, and save it, nevermind that we support their livelihood and pay for everything. My husband could not believe how poorly he was being treated, like a criminal. The SS employee said he'd call my niece in 48 hours and let her know whats happening, nothing, no call. I've been told numerous times I'd get a follow up from the national office, nothing. We have raise 4 niece and nephews for the last 8 years and this is how they treat people. read more

The people there are great, the security guard was nice as well, I can't imagine having to answer peoples questions everyday. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the wait is terrible. had only 1 widow open during the day and in late part of the day they had 3 or 4. Just be prepared, bring water, snack something to read or do. I was there 4 hrs. Again the employees were great just not seem to be supported well.... read more

For a government office this place was great. The officer at the front desk is excellent. My time waiting was only about 5 minutes. The clerk was quick and I was out of there in about 5 minutes. Good service and no time to finish your problem. read more

Lynnwood , WA SSA office is the worst of all the social security offices I have ever been to. Very limited space inside and kept old people standing outside to just get in the office even if they came there just to schedule the appointment , not allowing appointments schedule on phone that's the worst part of it. Overall SSA offices needs to improve a lot in our state where the number of offices and staff working is not enough to support growing population especially seattle metro areas. Lynnwood office has about 7-8 windows but at the time only 2 windows functioning don't know where the rest of the staff was and why they couldn't open additional windows during peak hours? read more

Bare bones office but has decent parking, a friendly and helpful security guard, and professional, friendly staff. There wasn't a long wait, thank goodness! The aesthetic is bleak but I will take beige and boring any day over the government using our tax dollars on marble and expensive furnishings. The chairs are zip tied together, that was annoying. Make sure you double check your paperwork. I came in for a name change and the employee entered the wrong name for me even though I had it right on the paperwork. Absolutely the best bureaucratic experience ever. Ample parking right outside the door. A friendly and efficient security guard, and only one other person in the entire office. We went at around noon and waited for less than 5 minutes to be seen. Randy took care of us and our complicated issues calmly and efficiently. He couldn't have been more helpful. Five stars for the great location, friendly staff, quick turnaround time on a weekday afternoon and super helpful and welcoming security guard. Let's face it, no one really gets excited about their upcoming trip to the social security administration office or any government office that requires legal document changes, for example, change of name due to marriage. But this place made my experience a positive one. Not that I want to be a repeat customer, for say repeated last name changes, but I'm glad I can pass the word on to others who may debating which location to visit if they have a need to do so. Keep in mind that there is no cell phone use allowed inside and plenty of cameras making sure you adhere to that and other no brainer policies within governmental walls. read more

While the faculty was partially hidden by the trees I did find it! Very basic interior with a security guard that spent time gazing into his phone. It was easy to hey a number and the wait wasn't too ooo long. Was only doing a name change so transaction was quick and easy!! read more
