Apparently they were dealing with a Government shut down so a lot of things they were not able to access and a lot of people had to leave because they were not going to be able to be given any information. SSA needed original papers, phone calls were done and not needed at this point! So Raleigh - great considering these trying circumstances. The rude security guards in Charlotte? THEY are the ones that should be DOGEd.

I spent a while here and was able to see the staff engaging with others. I enjoyed the open layout. The teen area was busy and occupied most of the time. The staff was patient as children attempted to check out books and shared their enthusiasm about school events. I'd definitely return when in the area.

So, I drove down to Rock Hill and completed my passport in about 3 minutes and left with a smile on my face. To say my experience with carmel rd was bad would be sugar coating it. I will not return to that office even if i had a drive 100 miles out of my way to go somewhere else.
