We ventured here for a Saturday night dinner. I really liked the ambience and vibe of this place, casual and relaxing. The service was really friendly and the pizza came out in lightning speed. Positives: the pizza crust was excellent, easily among the best I've tried in Dallas. The sauce was not acidic at all. Nice selection of craft beers. If they ask if you want parm cheese, it is the real stuff, not the grated stuff from a jar. Negatives: the caprese salad was basically a mound of arugula and since I am not a big fan of arugula it was not among my favorite caprese salads. The pepperoni was super salty, so much so that we ended taking the pepperoni off and just eating the cheese and crust. My craft beer was $11 for a pint, the most I have ever paid for a pint of beer in the USA. It was good, but not worth $11. Overall, we really liked the place and are open to returning. read more

Boom, just what my stomach was looking for. I actually saw this place on the drive from the airport to my hotel, and I said, "I could go for a decent off-the-wall pizza this trip." So... I did. And glad I did, too! I ordered the meat lovers (Meaty... something), and it was pretty darn tasty. I could only get through maybe half of it. You could easily share one pizza for two or maybe three people. Unless you want some leftovers, that is! The wings were billed as smoked and air-fried, so I HAD to try those as well. (Probably why I only got through half of the pizza). Let me tell you... worth it! Maybe the second best wings I've ever had! Well, maybe third... Anchor Bar and Slap Ya Mamma's still are fighting it out for the top spot. But, seriously, they were really darn good. The beer/wine scene is craft, as billed. They have a very decent cider selection, too, which I'm usually more in the mood for. They had a great one from Bishop called the Dark Cide, which I'm super glad I tried. The service was very good as well. The staff was clearly having one of those Mondays, but you could tell it didn't phase them. They just kept about their business very professionally and with a positive attitude. I realize that might sound a bit "duh, of course they did!" But, if you have one of those days... and I mean one of THOSE DAYS... it takes its toll. You aren't at your peak level. These guys, though... they never showed it. You don't always get that at a restaurant/bar. Overall, great pizza, great creative toppings, wonderful ambiance, stellar brews, and outstanding service. I couldn't ask for more in a pizza place. Stopped to get some pizza at Social Pie and my experience was nothing less then amazing. Service is great, TVs on the wall so you can catch a game, nice for groups, solo enjoyment as well as bar seating They also have beer if that's what you like. I ordered nine pizzas for a company event. After getting charged (paid in full two weeks prior) and a day before reminder email from them, I had nothing. They never delivered the pizzas and when I talked to the general manager, they couldn't find the order and I had to prove that I actually placed an order. Once I gave them the 4 digits of my credit card, they said "oh yeah there it is." $220 later. For this event we had to end up ordering from Domino's. We needed food fast. Easily my favorite pizza place in Dallas! Came across this gem in the medical district area a while back and they never disappoint. I have tried a wide variety and f items from the menu and by far my two faves are: Margherita Pizza and Wings (all flavors). For a pizza place their wings are exceptional so I would def add that to the order if you give them a shot. The service is always great and the staff is very friendly. All the small things make them great as well like the fact that the box can easily be used as plates & all paper items are environmentally friendly. Personally, it feels good to spend my money for a great tasting product from a company with a cause. I usually place my order as I'm walking out the door and it's usually ready by the time I get there (I life less than 10 minutes away). Also if you're like me and don't want to feel guilty about indulging in pizza or have food allergies they do offer gluten free crust as an option. This place was yummy. We got the "white" and the "texican." Both had great flavors and you could taste the ingredients, especially the brisket and pickled jalapenos on the texican. The chicken was a little lost on the "white" but you could taste the mushrooms. We also got the smoked wings with the classic sauce, you can definitely taste the smoke flavors and it had a mild kick. One of the places I wish could be the average standard for this area in terms of how to prioritize people-space and outside-space. Not quite the #goals for food-space, but I've only tried a few slices of their pizzas so far... Loved how it opened to welcome the good weather outside. The pizzas are best for sharing, and the salads were colorful in a fresh, healthy, life-giving way. The pizzas looked decent, and even though I've had better, hotter, less-burnt pizza, this was still a great meeting spot and easily walkable from the surrounding apartments. I'm leaving two stars for this place simply because the pizza when we finally got it was actually really good! A couple of my friends and myself were at a brewery last night and ordered from here a few different times but never got a confirmation, so we decided to give them a call. I'll admit the brewery was a little loud so they may have had trouble hearing me but I was hung up on in an aggressive manner when explaining that their website wasn't working. When we finally got the order in, they had charged us 3 separate times. We got our refunds but the pizza took two and a half hours to actually order and receive. They may have been having a rough night so I get it. It was just frustrating and annoying. The food was good and the delivery person was really cool. I feel like a lot of restaurants have gone downhill since the onset of Covid & The Lockdowns (yes that's also the name of my rock band!) I discovered Social Pie when they catered an event and I was very impressed by their pizza. I went back a few times before the lockdown and felt the pizza was definitely worthy of 4 stars but on a recent visit they fell short and I thought the pizza had taken a step down. I'm not sure if they changed pepperonis but I didn't love the large weird ones they put on my pie. I also wasn't a big fan of the white pizza. Maybe it was the sauce or maybe it was the cheese but it definitely tasted off. The employees are pretty cool and they have a nice bar and drink selection and the place is pretty chill so I'm kinda sad that the number one reason to go there might no longer exist. Sigh. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza( not in the menu but they were able to make it) and it was pretty good. DISCRIMINATE AGAINST DISABLE CUSTOMER My friends and I came here as her last meal before flying back to her hometown. She is legally blind and has her service dog to guide her. The manager came out and said we have to take the dog outside or leave because they don't allow dog inside. We tried to explain to him that under the law, service dog can't be refused service and he started to raise his voice saying that we can just buy the service dog guide harness from Amazon and fake it? We were livid, why would someone fake to be blind just to dine in at your restaurant? He also claimed that he knows the law very clearly that we have to show him the paperwork showing my friend is disable. Horrible customer service that we have to call the police to explain to him the law. Anyways, I had a video after the fact but after talking to his upper manager, he came out and sarcastically checked the dog harness again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after my friend had to leave the restaurant in tears. Being blind is hard enough for anyone and they shouldn't be treated like this to feel bad about themselves. Updated: to the owner's reply below. As a business owner, you need to admit to the truth if your manager are wrong. We can guarantee that the service dog was on leash the whole time. It's easy to see why Social Pie is becoming a staple in the Inwood Area. The pies are so good and takes no time to cook (6-10min wait max on a slower night). You can do a half and half pizza but the catch is you have to keep one sauce for the entire base. I was nervous to do the BBQ sauce all over but with any heavy meat pizza- UH IT IS SO GOOD! Not heavy at all and not overly sweet. It was awesome. Will be going back. Roughly $16 something for a pie before tax. Slices are actually a 1/4 of a pizza. Try it out. So good. read more

It is a stand in line and order. None of that was negative. The service was pretty indifferent. They did what they were there to do. My complaint is with the food. SKIP THIS LOCATION Staff is quite ignorant to respect for disabled patrons. I witnessed not only an employee but a manager to not want to serve a female with visual impairment. She has a leashed/harnessed GUIDE dog and both told the lady she could not eat in the dining room. The manager showed his ignorance quite extensively by becoming very argumentative and implying the lady bought the harness from petsmart. Let me ask the Social Pie ownership. Is this acceptable practice for your establishment? If you allow this to go unaddressed, this sends a strong message. Update: we received a response from the owners (you should be able to see).
