I've thrown on a wheel in the past but this was a great opportunity to refresh those days! Parking was a little difficult, there is a paid parking lot, but luckily I was able to find street parking. Very clear demo and explanations, with a small class size (I think there was 8 of us). Our instructor Cristina does the demo first and then we try it and she is there to help us if needed. Once you finish your projects you can engrave designs into your pieces so I drew a little cat face on the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately bc it was on the bottom of the bowl where the glaze pools, it was basically hidden by the glaze :( I wish I had known beforehand, then I would've chosen a better placement for the face. If you tilt it in the right lighting you can see the cat, but it's a beautiful bowl regardless! I like that they take care of everything else after you make the pieces, they trim, glaze, and fire it for you and you just have to be patient and wait for that email to come through that your piece is ready for pick up (4-6 weeks). From the class (3/7) to getting the bowl in my hands (4/10) took a month and a few days, due to the many pieces they have to fire. They have specific days and times for piece pick-up which they list on their email. ---- Overall: a great time for beginners or people with past experience, I'm happy with my piece and it reignited a dormant passion!

At no point was there signage or staff to communicate the wait time, leaving us standing in line with no information. This lack of transparency and service made for a frustrating and unacceptable experience. I lost a good 30 minutes of my day, and on top of that, I had to tell my 7 year old that we could not ride a go kart today and left extremely disappointed your location. Which by the way, is not easy to get to and it is definitely not in the friendliest part of town. A long drive, a long wait, indifferent customer service and no go kart riding made for a forgettable experience. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to ensure future visitors receive clear communication and better service. I'd appreciate a response regarding how you plan to address these concerns.

Such a FUN EXPERIENCE playing bubble soccer with some of my favorite buddies for my bachelor's…read moreparty. Our group reserved and permitted a field at the park in Liberty Station with the City. We opted for 90 minutes. Each match lasts five minutes long. However, that five minutes feels like a ten. In between, you can take as much breaks as you want. I think we played approximately six matches, and we were all ready to call it quits at the end. The bubble soccer is heavier than it looks. There is only way to put it on and running around with these can be extremely tiring. I HIGHLY SUGGEST bringing GLOVES to prevent burns on your knuckles. When you get knocked out, the impact of the inner wall rubs against your skin and multiple hits can lead to skin scrape. We played with a large and regular soccer balls. Scoring was easier with the normal sized ball. The goal post is similar to kiddie goal posts, so you cannot hit it high or wide angles. I highly recommend this experience with a large group.

We had a group event set up on a field in the Clairemont area. I've seen photos of bubble soccer…read morebefore but had never tried it so the experience was new for me. There were enough bubbles to play five-on-five so we rotated people with two sitting out each game. The "referee" went over the rules and brought three different sizes of soccer balls. It was the red team vs the blue team so off we went with a large inflatable sack ball. I wore workout pants for the games because I didn't want to scrape up my knees when I tumbled on the grass (which happened three times). I quickly found out that even on a 70 degree day, you get hot and sweaty really fast inside one of these bubbles. They acted like a heat sink with the way the bubble absorbed the sunlight. I did bring a water bottle but forgot to bring a sweat towel which I really needed. Every time two goals were scored, we all took a break in the shade. I think our group ended up playing five games over the rental time of one hour. I would highly recommend bubble soccer for a team building activity or a birthday party celebration. The optimal time of the year would be during the winter season in SD as one can get dehydrated and tired rapidly if you play in warm weather.
