As a retired person I enjoy visiting different towns and shops in these beautiful towns and will take photos and post on my Facebook page to inspire friends and family to visit these beautiful places and shops. As I browsed this store which at the time had 3 or 4 customers including myself and my friend, I took 4 photos - one of my friend and 3 photos of cute dish towels and coffee mugs with funny sayings on them, I didn't touch these items or rearrange them in any way. When we initially entered the store the sales women were very welcoming and friendly but all of a sudden the mood of one salesperson shifted dramatically. I was walking in a very narrow area and the employee who is an older woman with large framed eyeglasses came way too close to me (neither of us wearing face masks) and said in a stern, unfriendly tone of voice "can I help you?" I immediately felt uncomfortable because of her tone and too close physical proximity to me . I smiled and said no. Then, again in a stern tone of voice she said "any questions about anything?" Again I said no . Then, again with the same stern voice and close physical Proximity she said with the same tone " Any questions about anything you are taking photos of?" In an irritated tone of voice she said next time ask to take photos and looking down at the phone in my Hand she ordered me to "and turn off your camera" I was speechless and never experienced any treatment like this before in any store or establishment . If she said in a neutral tone or dare I say friendly tone of voice - we have a no photo without permission policy or I'm sorry but please no photos - I would have apologized - I saw no signs posted in the store warning of this policy that was obviously very important to this person . On my way home, I found myself feeling very unsettled . This really ended my visit to the shops in Nyack on a very sour note! I decided that I would contact the manager or owner of Maria Luisa boutique to share my unpleasant encounter with their sales person. As I found their information on the internet I came to discover it was the store owner herself -Maria Luisa who treated me so poorly!! Needless to say , I will never return to this boutique! "

The good thing about shopping in store is not having to pay shipping. If you can find what you are looking for online and verify if they have it in store too...then you can save yourself shipping costs. They do have cute stuff, I'm not going to lie. The prices are decent. Not as affordable as Forever 21 per se, but decent. $30 for some wedge shoes. The most expensive thing I saw was a sequin dress for $70.

She actually thanked us for coming out in the rain! As soon as we walked in, Gena eyeballed us both and told us our sizes. She was right on the money! She explained why we were unhappy with the sizing of our old bras. The attention and service she provided to both of us was outstanding. Second floor mostly has women's apparels and a huge backstage section for items on big discounts. Third floor kid's apparels, toys and home products. I found the store well lit, clean and organized. Found few tops for my daughter in the backstage kid's section of backstage. Prices were excellent, under $20 for each. We also found couple of pairs of shoes in the women's clearance section. Both pairs had over 65% discount as they were on final sale. The staff members were friendly throughout the store. They assisted with finding the size of the shoes, did quick checkout and packed all items in paper bags. Overall it had a really nice shopping experience at this store.

Except, with the predicted Saturday-into-Sunday snowstorm, we were on the clock. Forget about the Macy's in Yorktown Hgts- that place is downright depressing with no furniture dept. This Macy's, on the farthest side of the Palisades Mall is a breath of fresh air. To add, there's a huge furniture dept on the 3rd floor. We were happy. Whether you need a new statement sofa, sectional, dining table, bed frame or something small to finish your room, this location has all the pieces. Every floor in Macy's was swarming with people and clothing racks were neat AND filled. Our guy Andrew was exceptional. He didn't nag and didn't stalk us. He went above and beyond and exuded great, old-fashioned customer service from helpfulness to language to knowledge- the dude was just high-level. The atmosphere is relaxed, he took care of pricing and we left with a smile.
