Working with Doug Schonfeld at Chef Toys has been an exceptional experience from start to finish…read more Doug is a wealth of information when it comes to EVERYTHING that belongs in a kitchen. He has a way of explaining things that makes even complex decisions feel straightforward and manageable. What I appreciate most about Doug is how genuinely helpful he is. No matter the question or challenge, he takes the time to understand what's needed and always comes back with thoughtful, practical solutions. He's a natural problem solver who anticipates issues before they arise, which makes a huge difference. Doug is also incredibly responsive. Whether it's a quick question or a more detailed request, he consistently replies promptly and thoroughly, keeping everything moving smoothly. Above all, Doug is honest and trustworthy. His recommendations are always grounded in what's best for the situation, not just making a sale. That level of integrity is rare and makes him someone you can confidently rely on. Doug is the reason we love Chef Toys and continue to choose them every time here at Orange Coast College. His professionalism, knowledge, and dedication make all the difference. I highly recommend Doug at Chef Toys to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely supportive partner in kitchen equipment.

I have a trusted knife sharpener, but wanted to give Chef's Toys Knife Sharpening services a try…read morebecause it's close to my work. Bad decision on my part. When I got back my "sharpened" knives, one of them had nicks and burrs. I don't know if you can see in the photos. The bottom part of the blade feels chewed up and rough. I had two other knives sharpened and they're not as sharp as when I've had them done with people who know what they're doing. I will only go back to see ask if they can fix the one with the nicks. After that, never again. I'm actually scared to have them touch my knife again, but it's want them to be aware of the lack of quality. If you care about your knives, call ALL SHARPENED UP (Orange County) or GARY'S KNIVES (South Bay and West Side) instead.

I felt a little rushed as I didn't want to stay too long, could definitely check things out for more than an hour. The shop itself is comparatively small but it is PACKED. There are things from the floor to the ceilings and the aisles are narrow, even scooching past someone would be difficult, especially if you or them were holding something. the owners speak English and can help you find whatever you are looking for. Prices are so reasonable and with the increased tariffs, alot of the price tags are crossed out, but the final price is still great, especially for the quality. Parking is small, each space is labeled for each shop. Would definitely shop here again in the future!

For a warehouse of this size, that's not easy to keep up with--I've worked in and managed warehouses before, so I definitely notice and appreciate that. The only downside is the snack selection. Compared to other locations, there are significantly fewer options, which was a bit surprising. Not sure why that is. Overall, it's a great place for buying in bulk, and the organization and cleanliness really stand out.

Definitely a good spot if you're buying in bulk--tons of options for meats, seafood, and party-sized items. We ended up grabbing shrimp, scallops, hot dogs, and beef for the grill. That said, the experience in the cooler section was frustrating. We needed help identifying a cut of meat because the pricing area had multiple different labels and prices, but one of the employees basically refused to help and just told us to "look over there." Because of the confusion, we accidentally picked up two different cuts thinking they were the same and only realized it later at checkout. Overall, decent selection and useful if you're cooking for a group, but customer service could definitely be better. 3/5.

When I was smaller, I shopped here often for scrubs because their prices are much better compared to other medical scrub vendors. They have clothing for kids, youth, women, and men. There's a big selection of men's blue collar workwear, plus plenty of socks and undergarments as well. They also carry sweatshirts, sweats, leggings, and beanies, along with accessories like earrings, piercings, and keychains. There's even a changing room with two stalls so you can try things on, which I've used in the past. Customer service has never been an issue for my family and I, staff are always helpful and the shopping experience is easy. I've been coming to this T-shirt warehouse since I was a young kid, and it's always been a solid spot for affordable basics and everyday essentials.
