Yesterday I had my kitchen sink backed up. I called Roto-Rooter from the yellow page. The tech claimed he had snaked 80 feet and still couldn't get it to drain but he still charged me $120 and recommend to do a hydro-jet @ $750 he said this was the only way to clean my line. Luckily before I did so I was recommended to SoCal by my cousin. When I called them for a second opinion Gary and Hayk showed up and had my sink draining like new with in 30 ministers with out hydro-jetting. LITERALLY THE BEST PLUMBER YOU WILL FIND. We have had SO much trouble with our landlord trying to get some stuff fixed in our shower.. They sent out a plumber who claimed to have fixed the problem - it was by no means fixed. He came out again and still didn't fix it. The guy said we would have to break the tiles/wall to fix the problem! This guy was booked to come back a third time, my husband took time of work and waited between 3-6pm which is when he said he would be here and he didn't even show up!! We've had limited hot water for over a month and finally our water tank just completely busted so we had NO hot water at all. I phone Gary yesterday and he was here within a couple of hours. Assessed the situation and said he would call in the morning as he needs to find a part for the shower tap.. He called at the exact time he said he would the next day. He spent 4-5 hours going to 6 different stores trying to get the part for us but no where had it. He came up with another solution without having to break the wall - he fixed the shower problem AND the water tank and didn't even charge for his time!! Such a low price for such amazing service. He was respectful to our house and didn't leave a mess like the last guy! I can not believe that our landlord isn't using a person/company like this. I wouldn't even call anyone else. We have been using Socal plumbing for several years and have never been disappointed. Gary comes out to service our main line 2-3 times a year and has replaced part of the main in the most problematic area (root overgrowth.) He is honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. 5 PM Saturday afternoon our kitchen sink backs up. We call Gary at 5:30 PM and he said he would be at our house between 6 and 8 PM. He then called me at 6:15 PM to say he was on his way. Gary was professional and transparent. He explained what he was going to do and why and possible scenarios. I had two other companies come out for a quote. Mike Diamond was going to charge me $2,500 to install a 4in cleanout to snake my main line. Another was going to charge me $500 to snake the main through the toilet bowl but whose customer service skills made me feel like I was a burden. I was referred to Socal plumbing by a friend of mine when i needed a plumber because my water heater had sprung a leak and almost flooded my home. We called Socal and Gary "who is great by the way" came out the same day and told us that the water heater needed to be replaced. He also gave us two options to replace it with a old fashioned hot water tank inside the home like we had or install a more efficient tankless water heater outside our home. These guys are life-savers! I had a plumber install a commercial, wall mounted toilet for my home. The thing looked awesome in my newly refurbished bathroom but the problem was my 1927 home was never built with the water pressure to accommodate the darn thing! My original plumber was unresponsive, lazy, and drunk half the time, so of course, he could not figure out the water pressure situation. Based on their reviews, I called SoCal Plumbing and Rooter and they did an amazing job of going step by step to problem solve my situation. They did everything without asking for payment until the problem was fixed. Gary, the main guy I worked with, was phenomenal at analyzing everything from the way the toilet was mounted, to studying the internal operation of the toilet (placing cameras inside the toilet to see its functioning!), to assessing my neighborhood's water pressure, to testing and choosing the equipment that would work best in my situation. I ended up going with the purchase of a water pressure pump, but it was only as a last resort...as the last of possible options that Gary experimented with (again without payment), in hopes of concluding the project with the optimal results at the lowest of price. The project would have been a nightmare for any typical plumber, but Gary stuck with it and he certainly lost money on my project...which is a testament to the high quality of his labor and this company. read more

We have an older European shower valve control that had broken. We were expecting to have to cut through drywall and initiate a significant project to replace the entire control.
