Hiring Cleo with SoCal Kitchens was the best decision we made for our home renovation, hands down. We've lived in our home for 8 years now, and much of the house was stuck in the 1960s from the original owner (and the kitchen was falling apart a bit). We knew we wanted a renovation, but really didn't know where to start. We didn't have the time and energy to do all the research, shop around, watch HGTV, and to make all those decisions on our own. We contacted Cleo randomly (among several other designers/contractors), and we could tell after our first meeting that we wanted to work with her. Nobody else even came close to showing as much expertise or passion for their work. We ended up doing a full kitchen and one full bathroom remodel, plus another half bath and new floors, ceilings, and lighting throughout most of the house. It was a big job (by our standards). Cleo not only came up with the design, but also helped us hire a contractor (FS Design - whose workers were excellent!), and she basically managed the whole job from beginning to end. The best part of our remodel has been working with Cleo DeMarco. We hired Cleo to redesign the bathroom and kitchen/laundry room of our rental house in Venice. She took the time to consider all the requirements of a rental property and not an owner-occupied house. She offered us choices and suggestions we hadn't thought of. Within those requirements, she drew up an excellent floor plan (fitting everything into a small space) and a detailed scope of work. She also helped with the selection of fixtures, colors, flooring, etc., again, keeping in mind that the demands of a rental property call for materials that are both pretty and durable.
