The SoCal Hyperbaric oxygen chamber is the real deal (hard sided which is what you want... the soft sided versions cannot go. "deep" enough - all the studies have been at 2.0) to speed up the body's healing process by increasing oxygen absorption up to 35%. This was what I needed after my reconstruction surgery. I was on cancer drugs, that slowed down my cell turnover, so my healing process would be slowed down. Also, the reconstruction was done with analogous tissue, which meant that my body would have to create more blood vessels in the new tissue, Solid Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers do these things. Not to mention, after radiation, my skin and tissue was thicker and wouldn't stretch. Again, Hyperbaric Chamber helped cell turnover to rejuvenate that skin. After ungracefully climbing into the chamber and lying down, Jon, Leslie and Theresa made sure I was comfortable and had a pillow, a bolster, some water and some chewing gum. Next they "locked me in" and Jon stayed nearby - watching me (off and on ) through the window. He was close by all of the time I was in the unit, but especially as the chamber was slowly pressurized (as if we were going down under the sea.) The increased air pressure became three times more than normal. This is what you want to press the Oxygen into your tissues. The team at SoCal Hyperbaric, oxygen, make you feel so safe, you can't help but relax and be comfortable. I needed to yawn, drink the water into the gum they that provided to unpop my ears. Once the air pressure stopped changing, I didn't have any more - all felt normal. Above my head, a light for the chamber was dimmed so I could rest or watch the movie I requested. Surprisingly, I didn't feel claustrophobic but it was mildly scary (the first time anyway) knowing I couldn't let myself out but had to trust that someone would come and release me. Luckily, it was easy to trust Jon, Lesley and Teresa. You could tell that the owner, Raffy Elkayam, took great care in hiring his employees. Jon used to be a paramedic. And Raffi got into the business because of his own health needs, so he gets it. Everyone there has integrity, so there's no funny business of trying to give you less of a percentage of oxygen or extra charges after you've started. One time, Teresa felt my sinuses might have issues because of allergies, and canceled/rescheduled my session at no charge. Everything is on the up and up here, and you can feel secure spending your money at this business. In the end of my first visit, Jon gradually decreased the pressure, and opened up the "Vault". I felt slightly light-headed when I came out but energized, too. Jon told me some people step out feeling like they'd had several cups of coffee, while others feel a more subtle, sustained level of energy. I certainly felt good, less tired than I had since before the surgery, and I slept very well that night. When I went to see my surgeon, his whole team was surprised by my quick healing. They said my stitches were mending twice as fast as they would've expected! That was music to my ears. If you're thinking about doing hyperbaric, oxygen chambers, I suggest SoCal hyperbaric oxygen on Ventura Boulevard is the best! read more

Shout out to Theresa, Jessica and John for making this the most pleasant experience! They were all very knowledgeable, patient, helpful and accommodating when I weak and recovering from a huge surgery. They were always very attentive and willing to help. They always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed before going in to the chamber. They offered all kinds of gum, water, personal lighting preferences, extra pillows & blankets and a tablet for entertainment. The chambers are nice, clean and comfy, and had more than enough pillows and blankets to fall asleep during my Netflix/HBO max shows! They get pretty booked so book in advance or let them know to put you on the waitlist for a cancellation opening- that always got me in with my crazy schedule. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING HERE! SoCal Hyperbaric Oxygen Center - My happy place (: - Undersea/Hyperbaric Medicine Near Me - Encino, California

Booked an appointment online on a day when they had MANY openings. I called a few hours later after being told by my doctor that I could not do the treatment for medical reasons. I called immediately and explained the situation, the employee there cancelled my appointment -done. Nope, the money grubbing manager got involved and insisted that I pay the entire $225 for the session even though they were not busy when I booked so I did not take up a space and I had a doctor's note. By the way -I could have booked an appointment and not paid on line, I just happened to put in my credit card when prompted not expecting to be ripped off. After much going back and forth (really stressful for someone battling a sever medical issue) they finally refunded me half. Seriously? What an inhumane, unsympathetic, greedy individual. They should be ashamed of themselves, seriously. Oh and after cancelling, I received the below email stating that I would NOT BE CHARGED to cancel so I guess the manager just decided to renege on his businesses' promise on what, a whim? They are supposedly in the business of helping people with health issues, instead they caused me more stress and penalized me for having lung issues. WTH!? read more

This place was highly recommended by a very prestige's doctor in Beverly Hills as part of my post surgery recovery treatments. The place is located right on the corner of the street and is not hard to miss. Plenty of parking and in a safe location. The owner Chase is extremely tentative and informative which made the experience easy and reassuring. The place is spacious, clean and very nice. With one treatment I was already feeling better which is why I continued treatment even after i completed 5 sessions. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

I've had a great experience at SoCal Hyperbaric. The owner, Chase, and his team have been very professional and yet showed personal interest in my needs and well-being. I felt very safe and genuinely cared for during my sessions. I have experienced great relief with the back pain that I've had for several years, due to a bulging disc. I have also utilized the sessions to recover more quickly from a recent surgery. I've experienced a few extra benefits like sleeping better at night. We are so glad to have done this. The guys here, Chase, Steve, and Thomas have made the process and experience a great one! The setting is very comfortable and feels very much like at home. I spent a lot of time outside the chamber, while my husband was inside. I would highly recommend So Cal Hyperbaric for anyone looking for HBOT. I have been a patient of SoCal Hyperbaric for several years. I should start out by saying that I am on a personal journey of maximizing Human Longevity and Hyperbaric Chambers are an important modality for increased health and longevity and specifically for reducing toxic inflammation. Initially, I tried another high profile Hyperbaric center on the Westside and found SoCal superior in many respects. First, Socal's tanks are larger, private and less claustrophobic than other centers. Second, the staff here is incredibly friendly and professional. They are focused on making you feel extremely comfortable and relaxed, which is especially important for first timers who need to get acclimated to the pressurized chamber. I find the experience to be extremely relaxing and the music and lighting add to the overall chill experience. The tanks are sanitized between treatments which is critical since hygiene is super important to me. In addition, they go out of their way to accommodate their clients as well. For example, I have an issue with my Achilles Heal and request an ice pack, which is always in the chamber waiting for me when I arrive. At this point, I must acknowledge the techs who make it all possible. Theresa, and John (and Chase who initiated my treatments but no longer works there) are caring and exceptional people who are excellent at their jobs and make the experience truly extraordinary. I highly recommend SoCal Hyperbaric! read more

Amy was the person that helped me. She is extremely professional and gentle. I was really afraid since I'm claustrophobic but she was very patient with me. If you were ever interested in HBOT then look no further! I HIGHLY recommend going here. The owner Chase spent 45 minutes on the phone with me when I first called to inquire about this therapy. He is extremely knowledgeable and walks you thru the whole process one step at a time so you're completely comfortable and at ease. Chase truly cares about his clients well being. Not to mention the place is extremely zen and calming! My dad was diagnosed with cancer and I was looking for a safe and professional HBOT center. When I called in, Chase took his time to explain all the benefits that HBOT can offer while my dad went thru standard care. He did the same during our first visit and made my dad feel completely at ease about the whole experience. He even offers Netflix, HULU and Amazon TV so you can watch movies/shows during your treatments! There are other HBOT centers closer to where we live but we gladly make the drive here because of the care and hospitality that Chase offers! read more

I took my 6 year old to do the treatment. Chase was so professional, but at the same time personable and really made us comfortable before the treatment. He really wanted to make sure we had a good experience. While comfort is important, Chase really makes safety a priority and that's the main thing you want when getting the treatment. We did 6 sessions and will definitely be back for more. Best place to do HBOT. read more

Highly recommend this center and this treatment. The staff is wonderful and the facility is gorgeous and run very well. We started oxygen therapy for our son who sustained a traumatic brain injury. Initially it can feel overwhelming to put your child in an oxygen chamber, but luckily Chase is so well educated and experienced with the chambers that we were quickly put at ease. You really need a place like this that understands and shows concern for your well being. We have seen incredible improvements in our son's condition and have made great strides in his healing. Couldn't be happier! read more

Brand new facility Clean Knowledgeable, Certified staff Multiple treatment options Physician consultations This facility uses a real hyperbaric chamber (not one of those zip up, inflatable chambers that max out at 4psi). He is actually certified in hyperbaric medicine so you know you are in good hands. He really makes you feel comfortable during treatments. Dr. Ratansi, a leader in naturopathic hyperbaric medicine, is available for questions and consultations. This is the best facility I've found in the area. I will definitely be back. read more

I refer lots of patient to Chase and get sessions myself. He's very knowledgable and experienced, makes my patients feel safe. The place is new and clean. Hyperbaric oxygen is great for so many things. Usually I refer people for post surgery healing, from dental surgery. plastic surgery or injuries but it's also good for anti-aging. It stimulates collagen. Many people are scared to go in, but with a good tech, it's easy to overcome, the results are worth it. read more
