They have ready-to-go meals and salads for your busy days. Their fruits and vegetables are always top quality and they have their own butcher. The deli usually has things like roasted turkey breast and roast beef that they have cooked and you can get it sliced at the deli counter. I love their gift baskets and you can get ones already made up or have them custom made. When you shop there you are supporting a local business and you are getting some of the best food in North Bay. Their focus has always been giving the customer the best quality food and they have never disappointed.

After being terminated because…read moreI missed work after breaking my hand and developing a severe stomach condition, I pledge to never step foot in that store again. Not only am I sick (slowly improving), but I'm thousands of dollars in debt, trying to keep a roof over my head, and they left me without an income. I tried and tried again with management to keep in contact while I was out of work but nobody is ever available! So now it looks as though I'm the lazy employee that missed a whole bunch of work, when in reality it was the neglectfulness of the management that has put me in this position. I've never been treated so poorly by an employer in my life. I recommend you NOT work here.

I don't know what's going on with Metro lately. They seem to be cutting corners in their meat and…read morefish department and it's showing. In the last few months the quality of the butchering snd the freshness of the products have been going downhill. Just today I purchased 2 sirloin steaks ($20) that looked in the package to be excellent. When I went to cook them I discovered that one of the steaks had large sections of fat about 2 inches wide running along the back of the steak. It's grain direction also seemed to change on the back making the steak more like a flank type steak than a sirloin . The steak was very tough, as expected when trying to grill a steak that's been butchered like a flank. This is the second time I have had this issue with this store in as many months. I think this is a very underhanded way to treat your customers. Do better Metro!

Increasingly this is the case and it is an obviously effort to have your customers use the self check out. In my case that will never happen unless you decide to give me an employee discount for my effort. I am fine with a self checkout as an option but if this kind of manipulation continues I will find a store that offers better customer service.
