I'm…read morea loyal customer Ive spent a lot of money their and ushally the customer service is great but last night after driving for over 9 hours with my mother who had chemo and a specialist appointment in Toronto, I stopped in to grab a couple beer to go home and relax. The gentlemen at The cash asked me if I was driving I said yes im omw home from down south with my mother, He said okay you just look like you've been deinking, in front of customers I was so embarrassed and I'd driven so long I was exhausted so I got in my car teary eyed.. My mother who just had chemo and appointments her daughter had to drive her around and take care got upset and went into the store to let him know how rude it was and how offended and embarrassed he daughter is that I was tired from driving 9 hours and taking care of her mother all day and said I hadn't been drinking and that driving that many hours will obviously be daunting on anyones looks and mood BUT then the little red headed girl looked me up and down and said right to my face "Well you look drunk right now lady" extremely snobby tone.. I was so offended, I said I've had my smart serve since 2010 bartending/waitressing/cashier at a liquor store in Alberta ECT. and I never once spoke to a customer like that ever, she continued insulting me and my poor mother. I live across the street so I'm there 3-4 times a week so is my husband. I told her I would never return to this establishment again, her reply "Good I'm glad" and giggled something I couldn't hear. Obviously my mother and I told our family members and they all agreed not to shop at that location ever again just LCBO and the Wine Rack or Ontario Brewing Company. Over 30 of my family members were appalled (family reunion today) that's a lot of business lost from just 2 employees with no customer service skills and crude comments along with a bad attitude. She needs to retake her smart serve and learn to speak to customers in a respectful and professional mannor. I will never return to the Beer Store again. P.S if you have a smart serve and customer knowledge your place of employment requires and you think someone seems intoxicated and is also driving you are legally obligated to refuse to serve them. I left with my beer SOBER but its scary to think what if someone wasn't and you have them alchoal and sent them on their way you could in danger lives!
