I was excited to try this but it kind of fell flat. I tried the pokè and the chips and dips. The pokè was barely there and pretty bland. Most of the bowl was rice.. the chips and dips was okay... chips were like store bought and not the yummy ones. The presentation was nice and appealing to the eye. My experiences are that the people are friendly and care and want to make you happy. They seem to love what they do and have a passion for what they're offering. This review is for the spicy shrimp tacos only. TLDR; rawness of the shrimp threw me off I didn't pay attention to the description, which says "chilled shrimp" so part of this is just not expecting what I got, which is basically whole shrimp that is sort of raw, like ceviche. I tend to like ceviche because everything is usually bite sized, but these shrimp were still whole (no legs or anything like that) but mostly raw. The spicy sauce coating the shrimp and the slaw underneath where great, as well as the green and red sauces accompanying the tacos! I personally couldn't stomach the whole, 95% raw shrimp, but if that won't bother you, flavors were great. read more

Found this food truck at RootsTech conf and immediately I felt like I was welcomed to the family! Their love for life comes through with their food and just their overall vibe. These guys are the real deal. It's clear they have a passion for good food, quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. The short rib plate packed a punch, I loved how it reminded me of Sunday dinners with my family growing up, but with a twist. The sauce they use, the home made corn tortillas they use, are all magic. I was at the Avenues Street Fair and my friend and I ordered the Shrimp Bowl. The shrimp was tiny, boiled shrimp that had no flavor. The bowl also had pickled red onions and that was it for toppings. There was a sauce but I'm sure anyone could add some flavor to mayonnaise and it would be just as good as what we were served. I do not recommend this food truck. read more

I've tried the shrimp burrito, which is the best I've had in Utah and the birria burrito and I think their birria is better than the birria specific places nearby. I'm in love! I finally got around to trying this place out, and oh my gosh, so good. We got the shrimp bowl, tuna poke bowl, and the birria burritos. We also got to drink the Fresca, sangria, horchata, and the sobe palmer. Everything was super good! All of the dishes had a hint of spice, so if you're not a fan of spice, this might not be for you. However, everyone loved it!! The bowls and burritos serving seemed small at first, but they definitely pack everything in there and it ended up being the perfect size. The sangria and Palmer were super refreshing - we want more!! The horchata was more on the unsweetened side, but that's fine. Definitely good service here too. We were struggling to decide what we wanted to eat and they helped us out without us asking. Then the food was prepared very fast!! I was so excited to try this place after seeing someone post about it on Instagram. I got the tinga bowl with a horchata. The chicken bowl had maybe 1/2 an ounce of chicken. And just packed full of rice. There wasn't much flavor and it was super overpriced for so little meat. The horchata was extremely creamy with very little cinnamon. I really wanted to like this place. The concept is great. The food is beautiful, and the mojito was delicious. The veggie bowl I ordered fell very flat. The bowl was 2/3 rice, then just a sprinkling of cabbage and a few beans and guacamole. There were maybe 15 beans in the bowl. The sauce was good, but I was essentially eating a bowl of rice. The first time I had them they were pretty good. Just lacks flavor but the aesthetic is nice. Got a veggie rice bowl that tasted like a bowl of mayonnaise with rice tbh, Chips and dip are good though! I cook for myself and I like clean food that is well cooked. When I don't feel like cooking I'll order from a place I feel may provide me with just that. The fact that I can taste my food wasn't well cooked and pulling out shrimp legs from my burrito that shouldn't be there at that? Not my cup of tea. I can't trust to have a good meal there again. I just don't recommend getting anything with shrimp if you don't mind guessing if your food has been properly cleaned before "cooking". It tasted like poorly seasoned cocktail shrimp thrown in a burrito. And if you know anything about cocktail shrimp they are barely cooked. My girlfriend likes their beef burritos. 2 stars because of my girlfriend enjoying her burrito and I did enjoy their chips and dip. Tried their food truck in Bountiful. Ordered the short rib and shrimp burrito. Short rib was ok, a touch dry but nothing a dipping sauce couldn't fix. Shrimp burrito is an $1, which is not worth the price if anything they were super skimpy on the shrimp. Shrimp is something left to be desired, so much tortilla and not enough filling, hardly any refried beans. The reason for 2 stars are their burned potatoes (I think that's what it is)??? I've been stalking this food truck... Finally had the chance to try their food "tent" at Liberty Park Fri Market. It did not disappoint. We had the short rib tostadas and the bowl with the works(3 proteins). Quality ingredients, fresh vibrant flavors, welcoming and friendly front woman (equally as chill kitchen bros).
