Unbelievable! But in a good way! My wife and I were on a cruise in Alaska in July and popped into this store toward the end of the day. My wife really liked this bowl and we negotiated the price. The guy told me the price included delivery. Not "shipping" but actual delivery. They told us they would be at our house to hand deliver at the end of September. When we walked out of the store I looked at my wife and said "50/50 we ever see these dudes again. Well, I got a text about a week ago that they were on their way to Southern California and tonight they showed up with our bowl. Who does that?!?! Amazing and what a nice guy he was. I see some on here have not had the experience that we had and I'm honestly surprised. Our experience was just incredible. Faith in humanity is restored for now.

The lamp I bought! They delivered it to me.

Great store - the art is breathtaking, the service is caring, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a must-see if you are in Ketchikan. Like a museum quality.

Truth be told, I used my shopping trip and said this establishment more as a museum than a sales studio. I could probably spend two hours looking at all of the merchandise! A number of different artisans provide the goods for this store they are carved items ranging from huge to tiny, as well as fabric, stone, and also more commercial items.

As a typical tourist, we browsed through the store and enjoyed many great art pieces. Had a great time negotiating an art piece with Sam. We bought and had it shipped back to the states without any hassles. No pressure sales here. Had fun being a tourist shopper. The Art piece got to my place intact on time and without damage. Very well-packed. Fair price for shipping and handling. Overall, an enjoyable experience. When it comes to artwork, Beauty and prices are in the eye of the beholder. The items in the store aren't mass-production items, so don't expect it to be cheap. I would say reasonable price. Loved the negotiation tactics... Anyway, Go and visit!! The store do have some unique and quality made products. ENjoy!!

After walking from the ship to town wandering around, I needed a place to sit, then I noticed beautiful carved seats in front of Soaring Eagle.

The others, a swimming salmon and brightly colored totem pole, are charming. Check out the gorgeous hand made wooden bowls and beautiful baskets. I found everyone at Scanlon to be friendly and helpful. That can't be easy considering they work 12 hours a day for 5 months to service the tourist industry.

We didn't buy anything but we're not required to. At the back of the store there serving food, we were surprised we didn't know there was food we asked and they told us it was free. We got some food ate it and my friend continued to look around while I went out to eat my food so I wasn't just standing in the way. Two more of my friend come out and join me while we wait for my other friends to finish looking. The OWNER (I'll include a picture of her lol tell me if that's the owner) came and told us (we're all black by the way) they weren't just giving free food and this was about art. I replied that we did look at the art pieces. I was really shocked because we spend a least 10-15 minutes looking at the art. We made sure the food was free before we took any and I went out side to eat to be respectful just in case I dropped anything on some art pieces. We were the only ones she said this to. It our first time in Ketchikan so to experience this in our first weeks here was so upsetting.

I also checked in while at the store on my Yelp App and it said I was entitled to a small gift of black pearl earrings. I felt bad declining them because she said that it had been a long time since she last saw that banner and then went to see if they even still carried that token. I looked at some really nice jewelry and now I have some thinking to do.
