One of the employees (bald and Caucasian) walks over from the counter, snatches the booklet out of her hands, and aggressively snaps at her saying, "Keep your hands to yourself and don't touch anything! This is not a store for kids!" Note, this is a store with Star Wars posters on their doors and jigsaw puzzles. My daughter and I were a bit shaken, but I said a quick sorry, and then it hit me - this kind of behavior was completely rude and inexcusable and I felt like I should have defended her and told him to back off. But then I realized if it happened to us, chances are this was not an isolated or unique incident. The same will or has already happened to others who visited this store. If they continue this kind of behavior, they are going to hit someone's else's nerve who doesn't have the same restraint that I did. So if the same happens to you and your child if you do come here, know that what they're doing is wrong, and absolutely fight back if not just for yourself, but for the rest of us this has happened to. To gain some perspective as well though, hundreds of cruise ships with tourists visit this store regularly. They have probably had incidents where kids mishandled and broke some items, so they are very defensive about it. But here's the thing - if you're in this business, you should also be educated enough to know how to deal with this respectfully with customers. Put a sign up saying "Children not permitted. Thanks for your understanding". Or you say, "I'm so sorry, we've had some incidents before and prefer children not to handle the merchandise. Thanks". That's it. Anyways, I hope this is a lesson in customer service to this store because they do carry a lot of very nice items. But many times it's not what you're selling that determines how good your business is - it's how you treat your customers.

I have lots of Pandora so I figured I see if they had anything related to Alaska. The man who I believe was the owner, helped us. I picked out two charms that we purchased. He mentioned how beautiful my diamond ring was and said that two of the diamonds were old because they don't cut them that way anymore. I confirmed that two of the diamonds were my mothers so they were older than the the other ones. I was very impressed that he could tell that just from looking at it on my hand. He's the real deal. I contacted Poker Creek Gold and the owner Lincon contacted me immediately via phone. Apologized and said on rare occasion these things can happen. It indicated that my 5 year warranty would cover all the work. I sent it directly to the repair shop and received it back in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately they used lower quality stones (even though they had the original pics of the ring ). I contacted Lincon again and agreed with me and contacted the repair shop. He gave me the option of money back or an additional repair or a new ring that was basically identical to my original. I went with the new ring. All this with no cost to me. Lincon always called be right away and explained my options. There was no avoidance of the issue, no attempts to get to take an inferior product. On September 14, 2026, I visited Monarch Jewelers while shopping for white-gold tanzanite jewelry. I specifically told the owner that this was what I was looking for. The owner personally showed me jewelry that I understood to be consistent with what I had specifically requested, and I proceeded with the purchase based on those representations. After the transaction, I reviewed my receipt and the documentation more carefully and discovered that there was a discrepancy between what I understood I was purchasing and what was reflected in the transaction documentation.
