Whereas this store distinguishes itself from the others as it proudly sells Alaskan-made products. One of the employees (bald and Caucasian) walks over from the counter, snatches the booklet out of her hands, and aggressively snaps at her saying, "Keep your hands to yourself and don't touch anything! This is not a store for kids!" Note, this is a store with Star Wars posters on their doors and jigsaw puzzles. My daughter and I were a bit shaken, but I said a quick sorry, and then it hit me - this kind of behavior was completely rude and inexcusable and I felt like I should have defended her and told him to back off. But then I realized if it happened to us, chances are this was not an isolated or unique incident. The same will or has already happened to others who visited this store. If they continue this kind of behavior, they are going to hit someone's else's nerve who doesn't have the same restraint that I did. So if the same happens to you and your child if you do come here, know that what they're doing is wrong, and absolutely fight back if not just for yourself, but for the rest of us this has happened to. To gain some perspective as well though, hundreds of cruise ships with tourists visit this store regularly. They have probably had incidents where kids mishandled and broke some items, so they are very defensive about it. But here's the thing - if you're in this business, you should also be educated enough to know how to deal with this respectfully with customers. Put a sign up saying "Children not permitted. Thanks for your understanding". Or you say, "I'm so sorry, we've had some incidents before and prefer children not to handle the merchandise. Thanks". That's it. Anyways, I hope this is a lesson in customer service to this store because they do carry a lot of very nice items. But many times it's not what you're selling that determines how good your business is - it's how you treat your customers.

I contacted Poker Creek Gold and the owner Lincon contacted me immediately via phone. Apologized and said on rare occasion these things can happen. It indicated that my 5 year warranty would cover all the work. I sent it directly to the repair shop and received it back in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately they used lower quality stones (even though they had the original pics of the ring ). I contacted Lincon again and agreed with me and contacted the repair shop. He gave me the option of money back or an additional repair or a new ring that was basically identical to my original. I went with the new ring. All this with no cost to me. Lincon always called be right away and explained my options. There was no avoidance of the issue, no attempts to get to take an inferior product. Can't say enough about awesome customer service and value for my dollar. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
