Great Covid precautions, they really enforced the mask rule and I felt safe behind layers of plexiglass. I also was able to see an employee as she was sanitizing a chair previously used and she was exceptionally thorough and made me feel good about how sanitized my chair had been. Typical questionnaire and temperature check were required. As for the service, they were running a pedicure special that day that included a 5 minute natural exfoliation and extended massage with gel polish, and I wish I could remember the name of who my pedicurist was, because she did a fabulous job and I truly felt pampered. I also felt that my nails were shaped meticulously, and the gel polish applied carefully and without any bumps or running into the sides or cuticles. I was extra happy with her shaping because she managed to correct the poor filing done at my previous manicure (most nails were crooked) without cutting them super short. It really is all about the little things, because even though the pedicure itself was just basic red polish, it is one of the best looking gel pedicures I have had in a long time. I did have to wait around 20 minutes after I arrived, despite calling ahead and technically having an appointment time, but I did only call an hour prior to when I was looking to come in so I understand they probably squeezed me in between appointments and I'm grateful for their ability to see me same day. Plus the exfoliation was worth the 20 minute wait for sure. I'll spare you a picture of my feet, but I am very happy with my service, and my only regret is I wasn't in town long enough to get a manicure as well, because their Gel X manicures look amazing and I couldn't help ogle the nails of the woman sitting near me. read more

UPDATE: So within hours after my review from 3 days ago, I got both a phone call and a response on Yelp! apologizing and inviting me back to get my nails redone at "my earliest convenience". I found this very thoughtful so today I called them to set the appointment for Thursday which is only 5 later. But the response was "usually we don't repaint them this late because now it seems like you want to get a new manicure" First of all no good manicure should be redone after 5 days and if you offer to make up for something, then just do that, don't insult your customers integrity!! People have lives, they have schedules, they have other things to attend to. I really wanted to go back and get a fresh perspective and rewrite my review because I hate giving bad reviews to nice people but oh well... So now I know for sure that I will never go back!! Ps. I'm a huge fan of this place. Was trying to find my spot in the Encino area for a while. They have great service at Soak. The lovely lady at the front desk is always super helpful. They have so many colors to pick from. Fun nail art options and finishes. It's really clean inside. They have a sweet Lady who is constantly sanitizing after each client. I DIG THAT a lot!!! I searched on Yelp and came across Soak Nails. They took me in right away and Mimi was assigned to do my nails. I needed a hard gel fill, most places don't do hard gel, but Mimi was able to figure out the best way to do my fill and it looks fabulous! I Recently discovered this place only to wish that I had known it much much earlier ! I saw Lesley who took the time to explain the different nail extension services they offered . I was looking for a place that could give me nice natural looking nails extensions , as I was just so unhappy With my Short damaged nails ( from taking off previous acrylic nails myself ) without damaging my own nails even more . I have been to Soak Nails several times now and I can assure you that I will be coming back. The salon, I found out, is under new management and I am very pleased with the changes they have made. First off, the salon is in an incredibly convenient area with plenty of parking in the lot (which they provide validation for). Upon entering the salon, the receptionist is incredibly friendly and always has a smile on her face. Not to mention how convenient and smooth it is to make appointments over the phone with the salon. The staff in general, from the employees to the managers and owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering beverages and snacks while I waited. The salon itself, unlike many of the other salons and nail shops I have been to, had absolutely no stark scents, no acetone scent, no nail polish scent, which seems absurd for a nail salon, but it truly is incredible. Second, from the color variety to new, advanced, and organic nail and skin products came to me by surprise. Just to give you an idea they have more than 3 types of gels for various different nail types and even keratin treatments for skin and nail care. I have tried my fair share of nail salons and gel products, but the gel products they use for my nails lasted more than 3 weeks. The nail technicians are professional and really know what they are doing. I am very picky about my nails and I can tell you that I have not found a single aspect of this salon that I don't like. Lastly, their pedicures, not to mention how comfortable and convenient their spa chairs are the employees are considerate and sanitary. They use new tools, organic lotions and know exactly how to shape your nails to perfection. My toes are very sensitive and I have not found a place to do my pedicure without being in pain, until soak. I got a gel pedicure last week and the nail tech was a sweetheart and she shaped my nail exactly the way I had asked and she even filled the edge of my nail to make it perfect. I was beyond impressed. The new management truly has done a great job in modernizing and updating the salon. I have become a regular here, whether it be for my pedicures or manicures, I cannot imagine going anywhere else or trusting anyone else. Thank you Soak Nails. read more

This review is long overdue. It's so hard to find a good nail place, but I'm happy to say that Soak Nails is my go-to nail place! I've been going now for I believe 6 months. Every nail technician there does an amazing job. I always request for Brandy for my manicures because she always goes the extra mile to make my nails absolutely perfect.
