They have some talented nail techs, Tara especially, that do a great job. However, if you expect to make an appt and get that time, it won't happen. I've tried online and calling in and rarely get in regardless of scheduling. If you have an appt at 4 and someone walks in at 3:45 they'll take them and leave you waiting. I understand being patient if they're finishing a client but that is not the issue. read more

I have been coming here for two years. The staff turnover rate is horrible. I'm on my 4th technician because of people leaving. It seems worse than places I've gone to in the past. They have also gone downhill as far as keeping appts. Last 5 times I've had to wait over 30 - 40 min past my appt time. Two of those times I ended up having to see someone else. Normally they do a pretty good job. The last pedicure I had they put on the wrong color and didn't change it. I just brushed off the experience. The next time I came in I got a full set. I've had my nails done plenty of times for years and never had a problem. I would just be careful- just popped my nail set off and had nails with a nail fungus. I've been going to soak for a while now, and I got my nails filled last week, don't get me wrong i love my nails overall but they are already lifting, and the acrylic was applied very thick and that is the only thing that i'm unhappy about. it just sucks that i paid $45 to get them filled just for them to already be lifting so much. read more

This was the worst experience for a "fill" that I have every had. What normally would take around 1/2 hour took an hour! The acrylic was so "thin" that one day later I had a chip. I went back in and they fixed it by filing my nail down so that I didn't need any acrylic on the nail. I never have chips! In less than 2 weeks I have 5 nails that are chipped. I will go in today to another Nail Salon and have them all re-done! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY GOING TO THIS PLACE! I would give them 0 stars if I were able. I had a gel manicure and it started chipping 2 days afterwards. I was out of town so I wasn't able to call right away. I just talked with the owner and he refused my request to have them redone. It was the WORST gel manicure I've EVER received. Don't waste your time in this place. Ripoff! read more

I have been to Soak a few times, mainly hoping that each time would be better. Pedicure was painful and I actually bled. I didn't do another pedicure, thinking maybe it was just me being picky, so I then went back for a dip, which lasted less than a week. I went back and she removed the dip and suggested a shellac, for only $10, irritated but I agreed. Two days later I am wondering why my nails have no strength and are very flexible. I went back, oops, she forgot to put the last coat on. I am very picky so I really thought I was being to harsh. Three attempts, still unacceptable results, probably not me. I decided to save my time and money and find a better place. read more

I've gotten mixed experiences here, but most were on the negative side. This last time will be my final experience. Went in with my best friend (who is beautiful, whereas I would be deemed less conventionally pretty as I'm a bigger girl) and we were seated separately. Okay, not a huge deal, it's happened before. So the guy starts doing my nails and asks what we're up to. So I said just a girls day with my best friend. And I kid you not, I wish I could type the shocked tone and look on his face, he says "SHE'S your best friend?" And I said yes, 10 years now, as he leaned and looked over at her with raised eyebrows. There's no way to type it but it was shock that she'd be friends with me, quite clearly. Annoying conversation to say the least. He said a couple other borderline rude things but I can't recall them, I focused on that most. I should've taken pictures but the paint job was pretty sloppy, and even had little bumps on some nails. As he's painting them, they seat someone behind me and tell him the person is there for him when he's done. So he speeds through the sealing and tells me "ok have a nice day" with no lotion or massage or anything. They lasted a day or two. I've never had shellac last less than a week. Might be the most underwhelming pedicure I've ever gotten. The woman was nice. The problem was that everything was done to the minimum. They did not clean the nail, shape the nail, clip cuticles.... they did a very quick run through with a buffer. Every nail shape is uneven. I got a French and the polish is uneven. It wasn't that it was a particularly bad pedicure, it just didn't accomplish any of the things I had wanted out of it. Probably won't be coming back. read more

Wasn't really a big fan of this place. Things I like: They had a dog in their shop and I liked their color options. Things that I didn't like: the man that was providing my manicure cut me not once but twice. I usually let one little pinch go because honestly it happens and I understand but the second time hurt. I told the gentleman that it hurt and he responded with "pain is beauty, right" I was flabbergasted that he would say that. He also was not apologetic towards my agony that he caused. Very displeased. I came here on the recommendation of 2 friends. They are regulars and get their nails done here frequently, so I decided to come for a pedicure. The first thing that happened, which wouldn't have been a big deal if I had waited in the waiting area. I was put in a pedicure chair with my feet in the water and waited for 20 min before I was acknowledged. Then, when I was finally tended to, the box of tools that was brought over was brought directly from across the room where it had been just used on someone. Not a new box. Not sterilized. I even noticed that the GLOVES that were used on me where NOT new! Whaaat?? Wet gloves that were clearly used already were the ones that they used on me. Omg. And the tools were all just in a jumble in the box. The foot scrubber looked very worn down--clearly has been used many, many times. Yes, the person who did my pedicure was "nice", but jeez that does not make up for zero sanitation. This is by far the worst in this regard I have ever seen at any salon. They don't even try to hide it. I sure hope I don't get any infections from this. Won't be coming back. The health department really should look into this. read more

My first trip there was very impressive. Second trip there, my tween got a blister on her toe because the water was too hot for the pedicure, and the splits on my nails which are usually treated with maybe a little bit of acrylic powder, maybe more than one drop of nail glue, and certainly some filing or something were not managed at all. I have never been to Soak so I decided to give it a try after hearing many good reviews. I got a full set and basic pedicure. During my pedicure, the woman was quiet but friendly. It was nice and relaxing. Very good. I then got my nails done by another employee. He was very friendly and spoke to me. However, as soon as I got home, I noticed a chip in the corner of my nail and my paint was ruined on another finger. This has never happened to me at any other nail spa. I'm not sure if it was my fault or not, but for the price I paid, I was disappointed. Overall, the spa was pretty good, had friendly crew, and it was very clean. read more

I had a massage tonight. All started out typical, standard survey of trouble spots, brief medical history, but then it turned into a very mediocre massage. The table is a portable table, not very cushioned. The room is hastily put together for a brand new place. The massage therapist was awkward in her skills. She never massaged the quads, hamstrings or hip flexer. She wouldn't pull the blanket up high enough to expose those areas, even though she requested underwear remain on. She never double checked the pressure, even after us discussing I like very deep tissue massages. Massage was not deep enough for me at all. She worked my feet and arms well, that's about it. He just pulled the metal clippers and cuticle scissors out of his box and then when he was done with me just put them back in his box and went to work on the next client. New customer, male. Upon arrival, I was instructed to sign in; not even a "hello". I was the only person in the waiting area. The place seemed only moderately busy at midday. I waited 10 min and then was called to the back for a pedicure. The receptionist pointed at a chair and disappeared. So I sat there, with my feet in the tub and waited ... And waited... And waited. After nearly 20 minutes finally a technician appeared with the menu, asking me to choose which pedicure I wanted. She vanished, and reappeared about five minutes later. this happened a while ago but it was just an overall bad experience to the point i will not go back. first things first i had never been to a nail salon before nor had nails done professionally so i didnt know at the time what was wrong. i went in with my aunt and my grandma and they didnt even seat us all together mind you they were a bit busy at the time. they sat me and it took about 10 minutes for the pregnant lady to finish eating to get to me. once she does she didnt know what i was saying nor did she really answer my questions due to the fact i had never had them done. ok well she staarts doing them and she hurt my fingers to the point they felt like they were burning. i had edges of my actual nail sticking out from under the acryllic which i have never had happen anywhere else i have been to since. on top of the fact that the acryllic didnt last. i get you should get them filled after about 2-3 wees but i usually let mine go longer upwards of a month and have never had a nail almost fall completely off. not pleased then me and my aunt went back hoping to have a better experience. that was not the case. i got sat with the same lady from before. i needed the acryllics off but instead of asking if i wanted them soaked off or not she used a false nail and ran it under my nails and shredded them completely. it too about 6 months to a year for them to grow back through where i didnt have thin flaky nails that would break so easy. needless to say i havent been back nor will i go back ever. read more
